In the eighth Dragon Ball movie (1993), King Kai summons Goku to stop a Super Saiyan who's laid waste to the South Galaxy, and who plans to attack Earth. Paragas arrives and implores Vegeta to rule a re-created Planet Vegeta. Paragas's son Broly was born on the same day as Goku, but at a power level of 10,000! Fearing this potential menace, Vegeta's father ordered the child killed, but he escaped with Paragus. Now the pair is seeking revenge. After the standard battles, in which characters blast each other through solid rock, Goku defeats his legendary foe--with help from Gohan, Trunks, Piccolo, and (reluctantly) Vegeta. The most surprising images in the film depict not Broly's feats of super-strength, but Goku, incongruously clad in a suit and tie for an interview at the school Chi-Chi wants Gohan to attend. A very good DBZ movie.......2007-09-09
This movie is pretty far away from being horrible. To me its one of the best. It has a very good story, a good plot, a very good soundtrack, and even better action. The only thing that is clearly weak has to be the ending. It could have ended any other way except for this.
The story is a Super Saiyan is wreaking havoc across the galaxy. King Kai notifies Goku and sends him on his way. Around the same time a Saiyan comes to earth and tells Vegeta about the rampant Super Saiyan. The Z-fighters then leave earth to another planet. Later a huge battle begins with Broly the Legendary Super Saiyan.
This movie really does deliver with the action. Once the action starts its pretty much non stop. The excellent soundtrack sets the vibe for the battle.
If your a DBZ fan I don't really see how this movie cannot be enjoyed. To me its one of the best but not the best. Recommended if your a fan.
Best of the Broly Movies.......2007-08-26
This Dragonball Z movie is the best one of the Broly series, which includes Broly: Second Coming and Bio-Broly. I give this 3 stars for an interesting story and some excellent fight scenes. I like the way Broly looks, but not the way he fights. I deducted this one 2 stars because it had such a horrible ending.
Mediocre At Best, 2 stars to give it the benefit of the doubt........2006-01-16
Broly was one of my least favorite DBZ movies, along with Bojak unbound. One of the reasons I have a problem with a lot of the DBZ movies is that they follow the same pattern, Goku kills the main "bad guy" while the others are left weak and powerless. This movie in particular seemed slow on the action. Lastly, without bias, I can say that Vegeta was out of character as he said phrases like "Im going to be killed, were all going to be killed, he's the legenedary super saiyan." It bothers me when someone is out of character this much. To improve the DBZ movies, the creators must realize there are characters other than Goku, a few entire movies without him would be nice.
This movie was great but it just followed the same old routine........2005-11-23
I liked this alot. The action and comedy was great and alla dat but the only problem is it follows the same routine as almost all of the DbZ movies.Villian comes, everybody gets their asses whooped, Goku needs them to donate their energy, then he makes a big-ass spirit bomb only this time he punched Broly in the gut. It's just that using the same way to get rid of enemies just gets, gets plain "Old".This was good but like i said doing they're same old thing.
Great Story, Great Fight, Weak Ending.......2005-09-05
Broly is the one of the best parts of the movie series. The whole Broly saga stretches across two generations of fighters. Broly is set up in the beginning as a strong fighter, and you soon find out he's much more than that. Soon all the Z warriors join in the brawl, eventually Vegeta too. The fight is great, and wou'd think there'd be a great ending to it, involving not only Goku but Vegeta as well. But instead, Goku punches Broly and he dies. WTF! But, that's pretty much the only downside to the movie. Broly is pretty much the only real movie in the DBZ series. It's ovel 70 minutes long, has a story set up and worked out to the end, and the DVD has some good bonus features for once! It's honestly one of the best ones, except for the ending. If you like it, get Broly Second Coming and Bio-Broly. Although I haven't seen Bio-Broly yet, (it's not released yet,) It's sure to be good. Broly Second Coming is kind of the opposite of this one. It has a fairly weak story, an average fight, but an ending worthy of the title DBZ. Maybe I'll watch this one in Japanese and the ending will make more sense.

Dragonballz:BROLY The Legendary Super saiyan.......2005-04-03
If anyone knows Dragonballz? This is a must. Goku and friends meet the "True" Legendary Super Saiyan BROLY! Paragus "another sayian, not a Super Sayian and Broly father" comes to earth for Vegeta telling him about a Super Sayian that is threatening to destory the entire galaxy! Now with both Goku and Vegeta going to meet this new threat. Can these pair of Super Sayian with the z warriors enough to stop this new foe?
Broly is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!.......2005-01-08
This is definantly one of my favrortie DBZ movies(Coolers Revenge is my favorite)The plot takes place sometime during the ten days training for the Cell games. When a spaceship lands and a saiyan comes out and ask Vegeta to rule New Vegeta, but he ask Vegeta to stop the legendary super saiyan(who is really his son), meanwhile King Kai contacts Goku and says he fears this super saiyan is stronger than all the Z warriors, was that the understatement of the century. Anyway basically Broly was born on the same day as Goku, and has a fierce hatred for Goku since he always kept him awake as a child. Anyway Paragus(Broly's father) has been using a device to control him. So Vegeta, Goku, Trunks, and Gohan go to the planet and eventually they start figuring out about Paraguses plan to kill Vegeta, because King Vegeta tried to kill him and Broly(when he was a baby) because Broly was born with a power of a whopping 10,000. Anyway Broly breaks away from his fathers control and kills him. He kicks the crud out of all the Z fighters and somehow Piccolo comes and revitalizes them with senzu beans. Broly beats them up again. And for the climax, well I won't spoil it for you. Broly has since become one of my favorite DBZ characters ever.
