5 out of 5 stars Daredevil DVD.......2007-07-06

My teenage son collects marvel comics movies and is pleased with this one as well as the others.

4 out of 5 stars MUCH BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL CUT OF THE FILM!.......2007-06-23

If you don't own this film and are thinking of buying this movie, buy the director's cut. This version really improves on the rushed feeling and sometimes hard to follow theatrical version.

5 out of 5 stars Amazing.......2007-05-24

I enjoyed both versions of Daredevil, but this one is longer and better, with even more action and is darker. One of the best superhero movies out there.

5 out of 5 stars Daredevil Director's Cut.......2007-05-13

This film is MUCH better than the theatrical release (which I liked a lot). There is a lot more cohesion and apparently peripheral characters like Foggy Nelson, even Bullseye, get much more screen time in this version. It's a shame this wasn't the version that came out in the cinema. Maybe we would have been spared the dross that was Elektra.....

Anyway, great film, far superior version. Buy it. Definitely.

5 out of 5 stars Director's Cut Rules.......2007-05-08

If you liked the original Daredevil, then the added 30 minute footage in this version will be well worth watching. It is a great subplot that should not have been left out.

Fly with the U.S. Navy's elite Blue Angels demonstration squadron in the breathtaking video The Magic of Flight, which explains the basic principles of what enables airplanes (and birds) to fly, what creates lift, how planes maneuver, how planes land again. Going back to the Wright Brothers' experiments at Kitty Hawk, the documentary explores how the intrepid bicycle makers ruminated on the elements of flight for many an hour before even attempting to assemble their first aircraft. The Blue Angels put into action the discoveries made by the Wright Brothers, as they make their selections, train, and perform.

Pilots push their high-performance fighter planes through difficult but graceful maneuvers for amazed air-show audiences, demonstrating where the state of the art really lies for 21st-century flying. For all the skills of the pilots, however, the most astonishing part of the video would have to be the camera work, with cameras mounted on the planes' bellies, noses, and cockpits to give an up-close view of what the machines are really capable of. Planes fly arm's length apart during maneuvers where the slightest misstep would mean certain catastrophe. The Magic of Flight does indeed go a long way toward capturing the wonder of flying, with spectacular camera work, editing, and production. --Jerry Renshaw

Description

The Magic of Flight (39 min.) takes you on a technological thrill ride faster, higher, and wilder than modern science or even your imagination! Relive the historical first flight of the Wright Brothers in 1903, then soar with the world-famous Blue Angels as they defy the laws of gravity with their most breathtaking maneuvers. Narrated by Tom Selleck, The Magic of Flight highlights and salutes a variety of modern aircraft, the people who fly them, and the human potential of training and performance. Ever wonder "how did they do that?" "The Making of 'The Magic of Flight'" (42 min.) puts you behind the camera and provides further insights into the world of aviation and the techniques used to get some of the most amazing airborne footage ever captured on film. Shot using high-definition cameras, "The Making of 'The Magic of Flight'" captures the enthusiasm and excitement of the crew who made this groundbreaking film. Disc 2 includes the complete feature in Microsoft Windows Media High Definition, playable on your PC.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome HD video.......2007-08-05

Im a pilot myself. This video is awesome. I loved showing it on my Aquos.

4 out of 5 stars Great Flying Scenes.......2007-07-12

A bit too much sidetracking into history for a knowledgeable aviation buff, which cut up the marvelous flying scenes. The history was better for a novice - but the photography of the Blues demos were well worthwhile.

5 out of 5 stars Great viewing for the whiole Family especially on a Home Theater PC.......2007-03-17

Great viewing for the whiole Family especially on a Home Theater PC and HDTV. This is HD at its best!!! educational and fun. A Classic.

3 out of 5 stars it is okay..........2007-02-23

This should have been named "The Magic of Flight with the Blue Angels". Unfortuately it is mostly about the Blue Angels, and not as much about flight in general and the magic of flying. I do think the Blue Angels are fun to watch, so this movie is still pretty good, but it did not do much for my love of flying. The reason I say this is because I was hoping for something that was more in touch with my love for flying, which is smaller aircraft, not fighter jets. Another good title for this movie would be "the Blue Angels and the Air Show". Unless this is what you want to see, look for another movie.

5 out of 5 stars An awesome look into the history of flight, carrier flight and the Blue Angels!.......2007-02-17

This film is both a visual and an historical masterpiece!

MoF takes you through the history of flight; from the Wright Brothers' first flight, to harrier jump jets, F-18 aircraft carrier landings/takeoffs, and the Blue Angels' rigorous training program!

Along the way, you are introduced to the basic theory of flight with impressive computer animations that illustrate how we were able to manipulate the wings of a plane in comparison to that of birds to create lift and control it.

The flight footage is absolutely stunning with no visual-effects. This film takes full advantage of IMAX, bringing you up-close and personal to the action.

I cannot find one thing negative to say about this film. It is an absolute MUST for your collection!

You wouldn't know it by watching the mostly ridiculous escapades on display in Wild America, but this comedy/adventure for young boys is marginally based on the true story of Marshall, Mark, and Marty Stouffer, three young brothers who successfully pursued their dream of becoming wildlife filmmakers. From their home in the South, the Stouffer boys embark on a cross-country trek to the West, where they hope to get rare footage from inside the dreaded Cave of the Sleeping Bears. Along the way they encounter cute British tourist girls, deadly alligators, a rampaging moose, and an Air Force fighter on a bombing range. In other words, Wild America is about as contrived as it could possibly be and still claim to be based on reality, but it is harmless enough for young viewers with its wholesome message about bravery, hard work, and family togetherness. Jonathan Taylor Thomas (from television's Home Improvement) leads the young cast of adventurers. --Jeff Shannon

4 out of 5 stars Wild America.......2007-05-25

Kids love this movie. As an adult I can nit-pick all I want, but the simple truth, is that kids love this movie.

5 out of 5 stars Great adventure.......2007-05-07

I found this movie to be thoroughly entertaining. I loved the spirit of life and nature shared by the experience of the 3 brothers. It was also refreshing to see their hopes and dreams come to life. Well acted and a well told story. Loved the relationship of the parents and children - the support and nurturing by all was very positive. Then you find it is based on a true story and that makes the tale even better. Great movie to watch with your family and friends.

5 out of 5 stars Pleasant surprise.......2007-04-03

My husband and I were trying to keep from dozing off on the couch one Sunday afternoon when we came upon this movie. It wasn't what the local station had promised they would show, but within minutes we were hooked. It quickly became clear that you have to keep your tongue in cheek while watching this. The main character is being fanciful as he tells the story through reminicing. Don't let that bother you. It is a dear, warmly-told story. I plan to get it so I can sit down and see it again.

5 out of 5 stars Wild.......2007-03-21

This is the best movie to watch with a teenager to bring your family together. Laugh, cry & laugh some more! Get it!

Darker than its popular comic-book predecessor Spider-Man, the $80 million extravaganza Daredevil was packaged for maximum global appeal, its juvenile plot beginning when 12-year-old Matt Murdock is accidentally blinded shortly before his father is murdered. Later an adult attorney in New York's Hell's Kitchen, Murdock (Ben Affleck) uses his remaining, superenhanced senses to battle crime as Daredevil, the masked and vengeful "man without fear," pitted against dominant criminal Kingpin (Michael Clarke Duncan) and the psychotic Bullseye (Colin Farrell), who can turn almost anything into a deadly projectile. Daredevil is well matched with the dynamic Elektra (Jennifer Garner), but their teaming is as shallow as the movie itself, which is peppered with Marvel trivia and cameo appearances (creator Stan Lee, Clerks director and Daredevil devotee Kevin Smith) and enough computer-assisted stuntwork to give Spidey a run for his money. This is Hollywood product at its most lavishly vacuous; die-hard fans will argue its merits while its red-leathered hero swoops and zooms toward a sequel. --Jeff Shannon

4 out of 5 stars Things Can Only Get Better.......2007-09-07

This was a pretty good comic adaption. I was very satisfied with the story line. Ben Affleck did a good job playing Matt Murdock. Duncan was also a good pick for the Kingpin. Only part I didn't like was the Character Bullseye. Ferrel was a good choice of an actor to play him, but they made his character to dumb and nothing like the comic book character. The Bullseye branded on his forehead looked retarded. Besides that and Daredevil's super healing factor, the movie was pretty awesome.

3 out of 5 stars MST3K Fans Rejoice -- Rifftrax is Here!.......2007-08-24

Several years ago, it is quite likely that you were one of the millions who bought a ticket to see X-Men or Spiderman in the theater. The massive success of these two movies convinced studio execs that the public was desperate for any and all things Superhero. In short, it is because of you, yes you, that the film Daredevil darkens our world.

Daredevil tells the story of lawyer Matt Murdock (Ben Affleck), who due to a childhood accident involving toxic chemicals has no fear. He is thus able to leap off of skyscrapers and land on the ground without shattering his tibias. Along the way he encounters Elektra (Jennifer Garner), who he fights on a teeter-totter, Bullseye (Colin Farrell), who embraces every stereotype about the Irish, (namely that they have really good aim) and Michael Clarke Duncan, who plays against character for once, in his groundbreaking role as A Really Big Guy.

Only a fool would choose to leap headfirst into such a world of second tier heroes on his own, and Mike, despite voluntarily spending hours of his time watching Daredevil, is no fool. So his good friends Bill Corbett and Kevin Murphy, (who are both also Men Without Fear) are all along for the ride. It's a trio of crime fighting Riffiness that no Riffaholic should Riff without.

2 out of 5 stars Please enter a title for your review.......2007-05-27

I assumed this movie would be generic but more than likely watchably entertaining. Turns out it's neither. It seems more british than american, the way it's edited to barely let you in on what's going on. The establishment and development of characters fits somewhere between slow and non-existant, and as if the premise of a blind superhero wasn't dumb enough the fight scenes seem specifically designed to induce laughter. By the halfway point the movie hasn't created any excitement or set up any plot points for you to anticipate the resolution of, something any decent action movie should do in the first 15 minutes.

2 out of 5 stars Superhero?.......2007-02-22

Might be a better Daredevil but not a good comic superhero. The original Batman still holds that crown.

1 out of 5 stars Shame on you,Marvel!!.......2006-12-24

The producers of this move and Marvel comics should be ashamed. They raped a perfectly good comic with this monstrosity of a movie.I think a more appropriately title comic hero movie for Ben Affleck might be the Fat Retarded Janitor.

As the story goes, the Finnish quartet of "stunt comics" known as the Dudesons (who now enjoy their own American TV series) were abusing themselves on camera long before Johnny Knoxville and the Jackass crew gained popularity on MTV, and the feature-length Dudesons Movie compiles a year's worth of their most cringe-inducing misadventures in Europe and America. In terms of sheer pain, The Dudesons clearly trump the Jackass boys by a long shot: shotgun blasts are taken to the chest, pub darts are hurled into bare skin, and a complete skeleton's worth of bones are fractured over the course of the film (and one thumb is lost in the course of a berserk bear hunt). Eventually, the Dudesons decide to take their act on the road as part of the rock festival circuit, which leads to a trip to the United States where they wreak unholy hell on the apartment of Jackass alum Steve-O. As with all stunt comedy, there's little room for anything but a polarized attitude towards The Dudesons' antics--you'll either find it hilarious or horrifying, and the extras, which include an additional 20 minutes of mayhem and their guest shot on Bam Margera's Viva La Bam series, probably won't sway your opinion one way or another. --Paul Gaita

5 out of 5 stars The Dudesons are Awesome.......2007-03-30

Hilarious movie! These guys are worse than the Jackass crew. This movie tells all about the beginning of the crew and who they all are, which was good to me because I knew nothing about them. Then, they get to the stunts. Whether it's lighting each other on fire or putting their face in a pile of ants, the pranks never end. You have to cringe at a few of the scenes and yell "Are you an idiot! Don't do that!" at the TV screen. I loved it and I love The Dudesons AND their pet pig Britney. Plus, in the extras they have great sound cuts and short bios of a few bands from Finland that play during their movie. I just hope that they come out with a second movie completely filled with crazy stunts.

5 out of 5 stars Crazier than Jackass and Wildboyz combined..........2006-10-29

It's nice to see where Johnny Knoxville and the dudes from Jackass got their ideas and inspirations from. The Dudesons are the real deal and perform many crazy and bonebreaking stunts. Beyond the stunts they all have very diverse personalities and great senses of humor. If your not too squeemish I would highly recommend this dvd.

2 out of 5 stars honestly this stunt fade is starting to suck!.......2006-09-14

i really tried to like the dudesons but i just couldnt everything just looks the same anymore but the toyko shock boys will always be number 1 when it comes to stunt films!

5 out of 5 stars The Original Jackass.......2006-09-10

Now, some of the stunts you'll remember from Jackass, but these guys are the original inventors of idiotic things to do on a saturday. really funny, documentary style. great addition to the jackess/steve-o/cky collection. the ending alone is worth the costs.

5 out of 5 stars Pretty Good.......2006-08-29

The Dudesons r very funny all the stunts we hilarious, but i wish they did more stunts instead of the Jarp and Juk...introductions but all and all it's a good dvd

Anchor Bay's Incredible Hulk double-disc set offers The Incredible Hulk Returns (1988) and The Trial of the Incredible Hulk (1989), the first two of three made-for-TV movies featuring the Marvel Comics monster hero that aired after the CBS series' demise in 1982. Both discs also include a considerable amount of supplemental material, including interviews with star Lou Ferrigno and comic book legend Stan Lee. Bill Bixby returns as tormented scientist David Banner (in addition to executive producing Returns and directing Trial), as does Ferrigno as his green-skinned alter ego. In both titles, they are paired with other Marvel creations; in Returns, Banner is joined by the Mighty Thor to thwart industrial espionage, and in Trial, he's defended by blind lawyer Matt Murdock (Rex Smith), a.k.a. Daredevil. Bixby's always-credible presence brings believability to the fanciful storylines, and both features have the right mix of drama and action that should satisfy fans of the series and its graphic origins alike. --Paul Gaita

3 out of 5 stars Bring Back the Series!.......2006-12-04

I haven't actually watched these movies since they were on t.v., but I remember enough to wonder two things.

1. Why didn't they bring out all three movies in one boxset? (There was 'Death of the Incredible Hulk' as well) and

2. Where's the original series?

I mean, I *love* the Incredible Hulk. Bill Bixby does a fabulous job as the tortured David Banner. Everytime I watch the scene where Elana caresses the Hulk's cheek and says, "My poor David. I have loved you for so very long..." it brings tears to my eyes. Lou Ferrigno is the exception to the rule that musclemen can't act.

I've only got the pilot on DVD and I want more. Bring back the series! Bring back the haunting title music that almost makes your cry in of itself, and the angst and drama and action.

Not to mention, I was a kid in the eighties and I have a fondness for those wonderful eighties t.v. shows. I own Dukes of Hazzard, Knight Rider, The A-Team and Magnum P.I. I would buy Incredible Hulk in a flash if they came out. Its one of the better shows to come out of the eighties.

Come on, release it on DVD!!

5 out of 5 stars The Big Guy.......2006-11-10

What can i say The Incredible Hulk one of the best all time Tv series
that makes the movies a must have.

4 out of 5 stars The Incredible Hulk in An Incredible DVD Deal.......2006-08-03

An incredibly affordable 2 disc set with great extras highlights two TV movie adventures of the Incredible Hulk.

Bill Bixby & Lou Ferrigno's hit TV series set a milestone for comic book characters. Before that, arguably the only superhero who had a hit was Batman & Superman in the movies. TV movies and TV shows of everyone from Spiderman to Captain America to Dr. Strange had all either failed outright or fizzled quickly. With Kenneth Johnson's drama of the Hulk, the creator turned Stan Lee's green pulp hero into something even grandmothers could love - and mine LOVED the Hulk TV series.

Purists might object to the way the two guest star superheroes are treated and portrayed here. I have no problems with either. Both Eric Kramer (Thor) and Rex Smith (Daredevil) manage their respective roles nicely and have pure fun all the while - especially Kramer who turned an almost stiff, stodgy comic book Thor into a CA beefcake surfer dude with a love of mead and bar brawls. Rex Smith turns in a three dimensional performance and honestly I like his portrayal of Daredevil much more than Ben Affleck's big screen turn. Bill Bixby realizes his tortured Jeckyl & Hyde David Banner character as poignantly as he did in the TV series and the production values for both flicks are top notch all around.

Comic fans must make concessions when their beloved heroes play up on the big or small screen. When film director Bryan Singer toned down the X-Men's costumes for the theatrical film, many a true believer cried. However when they saw the film, Singer was off the hook. These TV movies are NOT the comics we grew up on and so much the better because they've become unique interpretations of them for us to enjoy alongside the classic comics, cartoons or the video games which will be created for generations to come.

Anchor Bay has outdone themselves with excellent extras, packaging that evokes a comic book and even a booklet that at first glance makes you believe you're holding a collectible comic. Fantastic price & fantastic set - thanks Anchor Bay!

1 out of 5 stars Wrong Interpretations Of Legendary Marvel Superheroes!!!!.......2006-03-20

I have seen both films back in '88 on NBC and it was horrendus! whoever was the screenwriter must not read the history of Thor and Daredevil. First, Thor's costume was wrong and his character was putrid! and second, Daredevil's costume is red, NOT black(Ben Affleck did a more presentable version of Daredevil)! and the TV version of the Kingpin was a comic fan's nightmare! So my advice, DON'T buy this DVD, Instead, buy the 2003 Hulk movie on DVD, that will be worth your money!

5 out of 5 stars The Incredible Hulk Returns. The Trial of The Incredible Hulk........2005-12-06

HI EVERYBODY. YOU KNOW, IT IS TOTALY AMAZING THAT A REVIEWER WOULD EVEN THINK THAT THE INCREDIBLE HULK, THE ORIGINAL TV SERIES SHOULD HAVE BEEN WHAT THESE 2 MOVIES SHOULD HAVE BEEN. I WILL SAY THIS. IF KENNETH JOHNSON WOULD HAVE WENT WITH THE COMIC BOOK VERSION AND NOT AS WE KNOW THE SERIES NOW, 2 THINGS WOULD HAVE HAPPEND. BILL BIXBY WOULD HAVE TURNED DOWN THE HULK SERIES. AND OR KEN JOHNSON THE SERIES CREATOR WOULD HAVE ALSO TURNED IT DOWN. THUS... THERE WOULDN'T HAVE BEEN NO DR. DAVID BANNER, NO HULK NO TV SERIES. AND BILL BIXBY WOULD HAVE SAID NO ANYWAY. AT LEAST SOME PEOPLE DON'T EVEN KNOW, BIXBY WAS LEARY ABOUT EVEN DOING THE PILOT. BUT HIS FORMER MANAGER PAUL BRADEN SAID READ IT JUST READ IT. AND THE REST IS OFF COURSE HISTORY. AND TO THINK THAT THIS REVIEWER WOULD EVEN SAY SOMETHING LIKE THAT IS VERY NAIVE. AND BILL BIX BIXBY WOULD NOT HAVE DONE THE HULK IN THE STYLE OF THE COMIC ANYWAY. EVEN RIGHT FROM THE START HE WAS ASURED THAT WHEN HE ACCEPTED THE LEADING ROLL AS OUR HERO. DR. DAVID BANNER, HE TOLD KENNETH JOHNSON CALLING HIM THE NEXT DAY AFTER READING THE HULK PILOT SCRIPT AND SAID. ARE YOU REALLY GOING TO DO THIS. ARE YOU REALLY GOING KEEP THIS PSYCOLOGICAL AND POINEANT. REALLY... BIXBY DID NOT WANT TO DO THE INCREDIBLE HULK AT ALL. HE SAID I DON'T WANT TO BE INVOLVED IN ANYTHING CALLED THE INCREDIBLE HULK PLEASE.MILLIONS OF FANS SHOULD BE VERU SURPRISED THAT THE HULK WAS EVEN DONE TO BEGIN WITH. AND I THINK IT WAS BILL BIXBY'S GOOD KIND NATURE THAT AND ALSO AFTER READING THE HULK PILOT SCRIPT THAT WON THE CRITICS CBS AND US MILLIONS OF FANS OF THIS GREAT TV SERIES. WE ALL WILL NEVER FORGET IT. AS FOR THE FIRST 2 HULK MOVIES. I LOVE THEM ALL OVER THE PLACE. PERSONALY IN MY OPINION, I THINK BILL BIXBY AND LOU FERRIGNO WE'RE EXPERIMENTING WHEN THEY BOTH WE'RE FILMING THEM. I THINK THEY HAVE SOME VERY HUMORUS MOMENTS. IN GENERAL. i LOVE THE SERIES AND THE 2 HULK MOVIES. THE INCREDIBLE HULK RETURNS. AND THE TRIAL OF THE INCREDIBLE HULK.

5 out of 5 stars One big rush.......2006-11-04

This is not only a knee jerking, heart stopping visual treat but and educational one as well. Unbelievable footage on base jumping and a downloadable teachers guide for those who feel to learn a little deeper of what makes them tick.

5 out of 5 stars An amazing movie.......2004-10-04

I recently had the opportunity to view this film in its original IMAX format and it was quite an amazing experience. As someone who has recently taken a strong interest in the sport of skydiving, as well as BASE jumping (which I have yet to try), I found this movie as intriguing as any I have ever seen. Not only does this movie provide continuous outstanding shots of professional skydivers and BASE jumpers from around the globe, but it also takes you in great depth, into what goes on inside a person's head, and body, when they take life to the edge. Adrenaline Rush is a fun ride, and provides spectacular insight into what makes people push life to the extreme. I would recommend this DVD to anyone who as ever thrown themselves out of plane, off of a cliff, or anyone who has even the slightest bit of Adrenaline Junkie in them.

4 out of 5 stars Mediocre.......2003-08-18

As far as Imax / bigscreen films go, this was only mediocre. The resolution is not up to par (not surprising, considering the weight of a true Imax camera). This is really more of a typical PBS show for the movies. It ends well, but the content is a little thin. The air shots, though, are very good and the skydivers are talented. Seeing the da Vinci parachute is obviously unique and worth the entry price for scientific historians or parachute / skydiver aficianados.

3 out of 5 stars Nostalgia for sure, but audio and video lacking quality........2007-08-28

Agree with the other reviews on this dvd, just be prepared for some really poor quality video and not much better sound. I suppose it's all about how the original was taped, and considering the vintage perhaps to be expected. I was just a bit diappointed with both audio and video, but the band definitely showed up and rocked!

5 out of 5 stars Finally, Some OMD Exposure.......2007-07-09

Much thanks to those that taped, stored and unearthed this treasure, the only OMD video I'm aware of. The band rocks, the sound is good and although the camera is sometimes on the wrong player, there's no nauseating quick cutting, panning and worthless behind the drummer views that make so many concert videos unwatchable for me.

Enjoyed seeing so many members together, including all the primary writer-singers, plus sometimes drummer Steve Canaday plays guitar and sings an original of his. How many bands can claim four high quality singer-writers?

Terry Wilson is the primary lead guitarist at this concert and his rocking slide work especially spices up Larry Lee's Oh Darlin and Jackie Blue. Lee is on piano for those but is otherwise on drums, hidden behind a cymbal.

Certainly not much to complain about this video. More Lee songs would have been nice and another original John Dillon tune instead of his version of Porter Wagoner's Satisfied Mind. Here's hoping for a DVD of their 2006 and 2007 Wildwood concert reunions.

5 out of 5 stars What You Need To Know.......2007-06-13

The Ozark Mountain Daredevils were among the most popular mid-'70s country-rock bands. These recently discovered video tapes of their memorable reunion concert, filmed New Year's Eve, 1980 at the Uptown Theater, Kansas City, Mo., feature their original lineup, along with later supporting members.

* This was the first time in five years that the original lineup all played together.

* First time available anywhere!

* The DVD features their signature songs "Jackie Blue" and "If You Wanna Get To Heaven."

* This live reunion concert is the first official DVD by The Ozark Mountain Daredevils.

Yeah Dude! Steve-O on tour! great footage from steveo's adventures at spring break, and all across america. all the scenes with Dee rock especially hard. watching that dude get knocked the f*** out with the skateboard would make anyone want to yell "hit him again!" haha. totally awsome.

4 out of 5 stars Steve-o Vol.2 the best so far.......2003-12-19

I been a fan of Steve-o (CKY, Jackass) for sometime now and i have to say that this video dosen't disapoint. It lacks on the stunts that the first has but it dose give a good look into the life of steve-o. I personaly love this video and would say that this is a worthwhile investment for any steve-o fan

YEAH DUDE

5 out of 5 stars Better than the first!.......2003-09-28

The second Steve-O Video. This video is about Steve-O and his crazy tour around America. Performing crazy, shocking and hilarious stunts. Featuring Jackasses Wee Man, Ryan Dunn, Bam Margera, Preston Lacey and skaters like Ryan Simonetti and Preston Acuff. This has more stunts than the first and is guaranteed to shock you. This video also has tons of behind the scenes footage and more girls. Tune in to see: Ti*s on fire, Trash Cans, Steve-O's eviction party, more skating, rental vans being destroyed, lighting nuts on fire, breaking mircrowaves, the fireball stunt, and many more. If you liked the first, then you'll love the second. I never get sick of watching it.

1 out of 5 stars Waste of time and money.......2003-09-10

I bought this DVD thinking it would be funny, it's not, it lacks stunts, it's mostly behind the scenes stuff which to be honest is boring. It lacks the comedy of Jackass and what stunts it does have are just not funny. In one scene Steve-o sets a girls chest on fire, I don't find that funny, it's kind of weird.

Am a big fan of the jackass series and I bought this thinking it would be just as good, but it's a poor mans attempt at humour. Mostly Steve-o is out of his head on drugs and it shows alot. I hope the first in the series is better, this was just a waste of money.

5 out of 5 stars Interesting.......2007-06-24

If you are a pilot or aviation buff, then you have to own this one.I really enjoyed watching this movie, the scenery, the planes and James Cagney was himself, just like his other movies, fast talking and fun to watch,so if you are looking for an interesting and colorful movie with great looking airplanes, then this is for you.

4 out of 5 stars Old-Fashioned But Interesting History Lesson.......2007-06-02

This is definitely a period piece, but well-done and in color as well. It would be of most interest to film buffs but it deals with some interesting history as well.

I write this partly from the perspective of a family interest in the Commonwealth Air Training program which is the focus of the last half of the film and which has many shots of the real personnel. I hoped that I might see my father in this (but didn't). This program was the major source of aircrew for the British Allies, and since the US didn't enter the war until late 1941, and Western Europe was defeated or collaborating, that's all there were fighting the Nazis for quite some time.

It was interesting to see the real Billy Bishop, the WWI Canadian fighter ace and then Marshall of the Air Force addressing actual graduating cadets who hailed from all over the world, not just the old Commonwealth, and included many Americans who volunteered before the US entered the war. It was sobering to realize that these young men were probably in combat by the time the film was released and that some were already dead.

As a plane buff it was great to see the old planes, in large quantity on actual air bases.

This is an early technicolor film and the dvd transfer is of good visual quality. The photography over the Northern Ontario lakes is very scenic. The sound is ok but they didn't have Dolby or even stereo then, did they.

Cagne is an acquired taste which I never acquired. Still he jumps off the screen as a character actor and dominates every scene he is in. With regard to his dislike of the role, the biography of Hal Wallis, the producer, makes no mention of this in his biography and he was usually often frank about his problems with stars. I couldn't find the Yiddish part but he put on an over-the-top Irish accent as he flew near Ireland.

There are some good extras on the dvd as well.

5 out of 5 stars ......."PILOTS!!! .....MAN YOUR PLANES"...........2007-05-16

....A very rousing and patriotic movie we have here and why not...WW2 was raging across the Atlantic ocean...Canada's entry was of a great importance to win WW2 in any way shape or form...just soaking up the outdoor natural beauty of the Canadian topography in technicolor was breath/taking along with the bombastic musical score set up by Max Steiner can get you running off to the nearest recruiting station to join up, but what of the cast??...no problem there with cocky Irishman, Jimmy Cagney playing Jimmy Cagney as a bush-pilot on the loose playing it high wide and handsome all over sexy Brenda Marshall, who was finally allowed to be a sultry/teasing woman stuck in exile in the Canadian wilds....she has a real gift to get you to notice her wanton charms and to desire her beyond all propriety, no matter what it costs you along the way...she had my rapt attention every scene she was in...something about those devious eyes of hers and a very disarming smile to say the least...that's star power...I was surprised her career wasn't more spectacular by which she could project her feminine wiles...Dennis Morgan-Alan Hale-Reginald Gardiner-Geoge Tobias round out a fine supporting cast of bush pilots in the Northland....you can't go wrong on this DVD...you get more than your money's worth with this Warner Bros release....I watch this show over and over again......SSGT CHRIS SARNO-USMC FMF

5 out of 5 stars Cagney Classic.......2006-03-20

Tough, gritty, slick only Cagney could pull it off. Good story line on a man helping out his unsuspecting friend.

5 out of 5 stars One of my Favorite James Cagney Films.......2003-11-03

This is one of my favorite James Cagney films because it somehow manages to intertwine an intricate plot into a very simple and patriotic story. More important however, it relies on one of my favorite film themes, that of the protagonist (Cagney) not making the transition from one era of personal glory into the next era where he becomes a stranger in his own world which has changed all around him. This film got two Academy Awards nominations for Interior Decoration (Ted Smith - Art Direction, Casey Roberts - Interior Decoration) and Color Cinematography (Sol Polito). Director Michael Curtiz visually does an excellent job with this script. It starts off in the beautifully filmed Canadian wilderness with Cagney in his usual reckless tough guy form. These early images stand for the strong individual nature of James Cagney's character Brian MacLean that is in itself based on the Cagney mystique. Gradually, MacLean and the other two main characters Johnny Dutton (Dennis Morgan) and Emily Foster (Brenda Marshall) make gradual transitions to reveal personality growth, stagnation and hidden revelations. This is a wartime film made in 1942 and the film intertwines the plot with patriotic sentiment quite nicely but stresses the practicality of creating and maintaining a proficient and professional military force if the job is to get done. The entire cast is wonderful and includes Alan Hale, George Tobias and Gig Young. Composer Max Steiner also once again turns in an insightful and intelligent score. There are some great flying scenes full of bravado, daring do and just plain out foolhardiness with Cagney leading his cronies in and out of the doghouse. This is a very entertaining film.
