Description

The Russian mob. They maneuver in a world of drugs, vodka and murder. Expensive suits and cheap sex. It's a world where anything is possible and no one can be trusted. A world that is theirs for the taking until an undercover cop infiltrates their ranks with orders to bring them down. Bu this cop may be in too deep; killing fo rthe mob, seduced by the wife of their most brutal enforcer, risking his life and the entire mission. The temptation to cross the line could land him in a warm bed or a cold grave. For this undercover cop, every move could be deadly unless he stays one step ahead.

Not for everybody, but worth watching.......2005-12-21

A lot of people would say that this movie is terrible, but that's not really the case. A lot of the acting leaves something to be desired, and one doesn't have to watch too long to figure out that it's a low-budget movie, but it has a few good points.
Personally, I'm a big fan of Eric Roberts. I think he's a talented actor that doesn't get enough credit, and I think he plays his part in this movie fantastically.
Anton, the Russian Mob boss is played well...his character, played by Shawn Doyle, is funny and at the same time very easy to dislike, which I always see as a sign of good acting.
Finally, I thought it was especially amusing that the movie is set in Buffalo, NY, where I live. Amazon says that the movie was filmed in only Montreal, but I definitely recognized many of the sights and buildings.
All in all I'd recommend this movie for anyone who can handle violence and strong language, as it is quite full of both.

This is a funny, sexy, shoot em up, slice um up, flick that I really enjoyed. You can see it's low budget but it didn't really matter. Eric Roberts plays an undercover cop who has to convince a volatile Russian mobster he's on his team. I always enjoy Eric Roberts performances and I thought this role was perfect for him. He's got that cocky, calculating, could be a hitman swagger combined with a conscience. He's also sexier then ever. There is a ridiculously dramatic love scene involving him smearing the painted tattoo on the thigh of a gorgeous mobsters wife as she straddles his motorcycle. Even though the scene was utterly unbelievable I will admit, it still sizzled. I must also praise the actor who played the head of the Russian mob. He might not be Pacino but he certainly inhabits the role of the evil, bloodthirsty, testosterone spewing, woman ogling villain. He also manages to be funny without destroying the tangy, quirky maniacal lunatic he portrays. This is NOT a film for people who use the word "thespian", revere Dame Judy Dench or for individulas who wear big hats with flowers all over them. I recommend this movie to everyone else.
