Description
This vibrant documentary follows concert promoter Chang Weisberg and his Guerilla Union promotion team as they work furiously to ensure that what would turn out to be the last performance of notorious no-shows the Wu-Tang Clan actually takes place. Weisberg puts everything on the line to achieve the seemingly impossible: reuniting the 10 members of the Grammy-winning Wu-Tang Clan, including Method Man ("Garden State," TV's "The Wire"), RZA (composer for "Blade: Trinity" and "Kill Bill" vols. 1 and 2), and founding member, the late Ol' Dirty Bastard to perform at the 2004 "Rock the Bells" hip-hop concert. As if each Wu-Tang member is not difficult enough to work with, the venue's incompetent security, malfunctioning equipment, and riotous crowd all work in tandem to try keeping the history making show from going on. But Weisberg and his team come through to deliver a concert, and a Wu-Tang Clan performance, of a lifetime! Also featuring performances by Redman, Dilated Peoples, MC Supernatural, Sage Francis, Eyedea & Abilities, and more!

Great Documentary.......2007-08-27
I saw this documentary for the first time at the Midwest Film Festival in Chicago and I loved it! It gripped me from the beginning and took me for a ride the entire show. I've never been caught up so emotionally with a documentary in my life! I think I held my breath until the very end. I had to buy it when it became available. I highly recommend it even if you're not a hip-hop fan (which I'm not really)
what's not to like?.......2007-08-23
This is a great film. I was lucky enough to catch it at the Midwest Independent Film Festival in Chicago on a Tuesday night. There were parts so touching that a tear came to the eye. I wondered if it was the crowd in the theater that was contributing to the emotional impact...but even now, several months later, watching the DVD in my living room...it has the same effect.
I'm not sure what else to say; the film speaks for itself. If you appreciate hard work, you will probably enjoy this film. Also, I would not suggest watching it late at night because you may get too excited to fall asleep.
In Depth Look At Booking The Wu-Tang Clan for a Show.......2007-08-06
Warner Bros. Home Video has released the documentary film "Rock The Bells" on DVD. The film is a must see for fans of the legendary hip-hop group The Wu-Tang Clan. The Wu-Tang Clan is known to be one of the most followed hip-hop groups in the short history of the music form and they have a very dedicated fan base. The group members are as well known for their solo work and side projects as they are as a group. Method Man, Ghostface Killah, GZA, the late Old Dirty Bastard and the various other members of The Wu-Tang Clan have been making an impact on hip-hop for over a decade.
"Rock The Bells" is a documentary film directed by Chang Weisberg which chronicles his dream of reuniting all 9 members of the Wu-Tang Clan for a performance. Using guerilla tactics he sets out to reunite the group. It's a well known fact its not easy getting all of the members of the Wu-Tang Clan together for a performance and the director gives the fans a front seat ticket to what it takes just to pull off reuniting the Wu-Tang Clan from broken equipment, over zealous fans, it's a must see music documentary.
The film includes guest appearances by the members of the Wu-Tang Clan, Redman, Dilated Peoples, and other hip-hop artists. "Rock The Bells" also features several featurettes. Featurettes included in the DVD are "Dirty's Last Days," "R.I.P. O.D.B.," "Who Is Wu-Tang," and a alternate opening. Outspoken and loud Wu-Tang member Old Dirty Bastard passed away suddenly in 2005. The DVD includes an interview with Old Dirty's mother and former bodyguard. The two-sided discs includes musical performances, artist profiles, and much more.
visceral and honest and - a terrific RIDE!.......2007-07-27
At the end of a day, after the mayhem of the absolute craziness that goes into putting on this Wu-Tang Clan show -- this is a film about human integrity and unbridled passion. I barely knew anything about Wu-Tang before I went to see this movie, and it didn't matter because the heart and soul of all the characters in this doc explode from the screen and I was hooked for every single second. The concert promoter even has his mother help him at the ticket counter! I was smiling the whole time watching this. Guys, girls, Wu-Tang fans, non-Wu-tang fans -- everyone should see this film to learn the power of getting anything done if you set your mind to it! Directors Denis Hennelly and Casey Suchan found an incredible human story amid the lunacy of a WuTang concert, and I admire them for that. This is one of my favorite docs I have seen! Enjoy!
one of the most serious looks at the life of a concert promoter i've ever seen.......2007-07-17
I love the Wu and came the the screening at Tribeca. I got what I wanted from Wu, but moreover, I was exposed to the rough and tumble life of the promoter of ODB's last ever concert. Boy, that guy had a LONG night.
I cant recommend RTB enough. If you love hip hop, you'll learn about what goes into putting the show on (it's frightening at times). If you're new to hip hop, it will give you a glimpse of the lives of some of the most influential early greats in the genre, as well as interviews with a newer generation of rappers.
There are some tense moments, some hillarious moments (courtesy of RZA, of course!), but in the end, it's a great watch.
I hope they release the soundtrack!

Disciples Of The 36 Chambers.......2005-12-31
Great DVD released here. Shows them live here in California. This was recorded really well, and it shows ALL the songs live. Great quality and great footage of them. For 19.99, this DVD is WORTH IT big time. Also, if you choose, while you watch them, it shows little intermissions that shows various members of Wu-Tang talking about random things, the concert etc. Good DVD for Wu-Tang fans!!!!
The best concert I ever saw.......2005-12-10
This was the greatest concert I ever saw. Everytime I watch this dvd i can almost feel like I back there front row center. Is good to final be able to concentrate on the show instead of fight for my life in that crowd. I dvd doesn't show the entire Rock the Bells concert just when Wu-tang was on. A secret was they were late, (ODB did what to leave the hotel, I know because I stayed at the same hotel, even ran into RZA in the elevator and kicked it with some of Wu-Tang and their afiliate in the bar and plaza of the hotel) but because they were late and the venue was hot, hot, hot, the croud begain to chant "Fu@#$ Wu-Tang H20". I would do just about anything to re-live that day! An added bonous to when I bought this dvd was the picture inside the dvd case. Behind the dvd there is a picture of Method Man jumping into the croud. My face is the only one in focus, how frikin great is that!!!
HIP HOP HISTORY!!!.......2005-02-14
All nine members are on this DVD. Just having ODB on stage makes this 5 stars. He wasn't at his craziest and he seemed tired and kind of depressed, but on the songs he performs you get into it. You get pumped up. This is a landmark DVD. You also get some insightful interviews. You can choose to watch the concert with the interviews or without them. There are some really funny moments with ODB too. Every Wu fan should get this, even for just the reason that all the members are here (including Cappadonna). One thing that disappointed me was that all the songs are cut short. That's fine on some songs, but the ones with ODB I would have liked to see complete. Oh well. It's still a great DVD. There is also a RZA video (Chi Kung) and a Masta Killa video (Old Man) in the extra features section. This DVD just gives a great feeling when watching it. It's not perfect but it's a piece of history. One thing that I don't understand is that it seems you are missing two songs if you watch the concert without interviews. I thought my DVD was messed up so I exchanged it for another, but the same thing happened. After the first chapter, it skips to the fourth. If you watch the concert with interviews it doesn't skip to the fourth chapter, but it pauses (like how a normal DVD pauses half way through to play the second side). I don't know why they would need to switch sides after only two minutes. Well anyway, it's a great DVD. Get it now...well what are you waiting for? Get it now! Long live the legend of Ol' Dirty Bastard, ODB, Russell Jones, Unique Ason, Big Baby Jesus, Dirt Dog, Dirt McGirt, Osirus, THE ONLY BLACK GOD WHO KEEPS PLANETS IN ORBIT!
Wu-Tang Forever!!!.......2005-01-08
The wu dvd is hot it had me hype through the whole thing I was singing along and all that. The concert overall was off the chain. This shows the power of the Wu when all the original members are on stage together. I've been a Fan since Day one.
Now they need to make a Wu-tang clan video dvd compilation with all the videos and and lots of bonus stuff.
R.I.P ODB
WUUUUUUUUUU TANGGGGGGGGGGGG!!.......2004-12-27
overall this DVD is pretty good but not worth the price. The special features only have a RZA video and a Cappadonna video with two lousy commercials added to them. The performances were pretty solid but ODB looks tired and restless as he sits on the speakers throughout the show. 34 songs were played on the setlist including the hits "Triumph", "Shimmy Shimmy Y'all", and "M.E.T.H.O.D Man", to name a few. This DVD is only intended for the hardcore Wu-Tang fan so if your expecting alot from this DVD then your best bet is to cop a used copy of this or borrow it from a friend.

Customer Reviews:
I Think There Needs To Be A Continuation To This DVD........2007-07-08
I agree with many of the other reviews that this is indeed a good add to a real hip-hop fan's dvd collection, but like also stated in another review, I think they should've added wu-tang's solo music videos, and I personally I think they should've added wu-tang's affiliate's music videos to this collection too or at least release a follow up to this dvd. Not to say that the dvd isn't good, but I think the solo videos would've made this collection even better. It's not often that you get a chance to see music videos like, "GZA's Cold War," "Raekwon's Glaciers of Ice, Incarcerated Scarfaces," "Ghostface Killah's Camay," or any of Shyheim, Gravediggaz, or Killarmy, music videos on television, the only time you get a chance to see those rare videos are on video sharing websites, like YouTube, but to me that's not as good as being able to watch on dvd. You MAY just happen to get lucky one day and see SOME of these videos on tv, but you'll most likely see videos like those on satellite, and I know not everybody has satellite, so it would be nice if everybody could see videos like those rare ones on dvd, because the majority of the music channels are playing whatever is new, even if it means it's not good. That's why I would really hope whoever's in charge of putting out these dvds could consider doing one with the videos that weren't featured on this collection and any of those other rare 90s music videos. But besides that, I think this is really a good collection, I really like the interview with the majority of the members of the group from 1994, because you learn stuff about some of them, that you may have not known. So if your a real Wu-Tang fan, than I suggest you buy this collection.
A Die Hard Wu-Tang Fan Must Have.......2007-03-09
This is definatley something I would recommend to any die hard wu-tang fan. It's got the classic videos and extra commentary and video footage!
Great DVD... Need more videos.......2006-07-27
This was a great DVD. It compiles alot of Wu-Tang's popular videos and it has some great interviews and footage from a '94 performance. There's alot more videos that we need to see on future DVD's (all their solo videos). I hope they are planning to release all of them. I remmember "All I Need" and "Brooklyn Zoo" being two of there most popular videos in terms of how much they were played on TV. Regardless, this is good DVD to have and it's at a great affordable price.
SOME OF THE BEST VIDEOS IN HIP HOP HISTORY.......2006-07-18
YOU THIS JOINT IS FIRE AND YOU CAN GET HYPE OF ANY OTHER THERE JOINTS MAN THIS IS A DVD NEEDED IN THE COLLECTION OF ANY HIP HOP FAN MAN
Legend Of The Wu-Tang - The Videos.......2006-07-14
Great DVD that just got released. This DVD gives you all of the videos just by the Wu-Tang as a group, no solo videos. Then after all those videos are done they have the other version of the "Method Man" video, and the "Masta Killa - Old Man" video.
THe best thing this DVD offers is the interviews with them back in 1994. Very rare and good they added that in the video. Then it has small interviews with each member in Wu. A good add for sure. For the price, its definately worth it.
This DVD is for WU fans!!!

Named after the MTV showcase and label, Hip Hop Video Classics plays like a mix tape for your TV. The compilation includes 13 videos remixed by DJ Spinbad live at New York City's Turntable Lab. Instead of ending, fading to black, and moving to the next, the videos blend--musically and visually--into one another. For the most part, it works, although the occasional "Lyricist Lounge" words and graphics that flash across the screen (and on the soundtrack) can be distracting. The videos span over a decade (1984-1995) and include such undisputed classics as Run-DMC and Aerosmith's genre-busting "Walk This Way," Pharcyde's sublime "Passin' Me By," and Biz Markie's "Just a Friend," featuring the inimitable rapper as a cross between Little Richard and Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (white wig, brocade jacket, and all). As was the case when they first aired on MTV, these videos have been edited for language. --Kathleen C. Fennessy

BUY THIS TODAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2006-07-08
Now if you have seen Iron Angels 1 And 2, then this is the 3rd.
I don't know what this movie was about, but man did it kick SERIOUS BOOTY. To start off, there is some very clear racism in this movie. The "el presidente" starts beating on his black military assistant. And he says "I want the whole world to know I am dangerous and powerful". When he says this from his small little office, I was laughing so hard that I had to start the whole movie all over again to see if I missed something. Nope, it is just a retarded movie. Now this isn't even as good as Midnite Angels 2 (iron angels), btu I will tell you some great parts to look out for in this flick. Moon Lee proving herself to become a bodyguard. 2 guys who have to take on moon (one beign the great Stanley Tong). Moon against everybody part 2. And there is a kickboxing match that was the best fight of the movie. Not realism like Kickboxer's tear's, but WAY BETTER. It is so fast and furious, I still can't believe that an action sequence this good is in a movie this bad.
So the picture quality ok as it is from Wutang Clan's vhs collection and is full screened, of course. More than watchable though.
And I would have given it a 4, maybe even a 5, but moon lee doesn't fight in the final fight, in fact she doesn't even show up. So I can only give it a 3, BUT A GOOD 3!!!!!!!!!

Hype Williams - The Videos, Vol. 1.......2004-06-29
These are good videos, no doubt. Hype Williams was a big influence for people like Paul Hunter and Little X. But this whole set is disappointing and predictable. Why must he give us the videos that we've all seen a million times before and can still see today on BET or MTV? How many times have we seen TLC's "No Scrubs" and Jay-Z's "Big Pimpin'"? Where's all of the lesser-known works like Jay-Z's "Can't Knock the Hustle?" Where's R. Kelly's "I Can't Sleep Baby (remix)"? Lin'Que's "Let It Fall"? Any Missy videos? I was geeked to see Wu-Tang Clan's "Can It Be All So Simple" but was upset because they cut the preview of the "Wu-Tang Clan Ain't Nuttin..." video with "coming soon" shown at the bottom. And the interview with Hype was pretty dull. You're better off taping these videos off the TV; at least then you'll get the uncensored version of "No Scrubs" (they block out the "a" and "h" words on here).
The disappointed soldier in Iraq.......2003-08-27
Im very disappointed with this company service. I have yet to recieve my product. I ordered it about 3 weeks ago and counting.
good videos, poor extras.......2002-07-23
The videos themselves are great, although I found the choice of Mase's "Feel So Good" a bit questionable. Wu-Tang's "Can It all Be So Simple" was a great pick because it is lesser known and from early in Hype's career. I would have liked a couple more videos included, especially from earlier on, in addition to Missy's "Rain" video. The extras, I thought, were poor. Hype's commentary is sometimes interesting but becomes redundant. The (quite short) interview was worse, seemingly taken in one shot, with not even enough care to keep background noises (such as laughter) from interfering. Hype really had little to say, and no questions were really posed to him. This interview could have been much better. If you like the videos themselves, get the DVD but don't expect too much from the extras.
Great videos...so so DVD production........2002-07-13
I enjoyed watching (and re-living) Hype's videos and I took special interest in hearing his commentary on each video. On a few videos you could tell in his voice that he wanted to share more with the viewers but held himself back in order to "protect the innocent". I only hope that he dishes out some of the juicy details on his next volume.
I was dissappointed in the quality of Hype's interview for the DVD. For a man who has put out some spectacular looking video productions, it looked like his intreview was shot with an old 8mm home movie camera.
AWESOME HIP-HOP COMPILATION!.......2002-07-12
Hype Williams is the greatest! I have been waiting VERY long for a DVD like this to come out and I have to say it was worth the wait! All the tracks are "Hype" and you can't go wrong for the all true hip-hop fans out there! Worth the purchase in every way!

Old "Skool" Kun Fu!!.......2006-06-10
AKA 10 Tigers Of Kwangtung.
What I have noticed about this flick,,,it has several names. The original name for this flick is " 10 tigers From Kwangtung",(SEE DETAILS IN GOOGLE.COM) "10 Tigers From Kwingtung",AKA "10 Tigers from shaolin". When this movie was reviewed under the original name," 10 tigers From Kwangtung",it got a 5 star, and when reviewed under the name "10 Tigers from Shaolin",,it only got 3 stars. Now this is a little disconcerting to me as it appears most people, SO CALLED KUNG FU LOVERS tend grade or rate movies, based on what others have to say! That is extremely sad I think, since I usually buy kung fu movies based on my Amazon colleagues!! THIS MOVIE OVER-ALL WAS AMAZING, and deserve nothing less than 5 stars. I recommend it highly!! So those who graded it 3 Stars, are all IDIOTS AND FOLLOWERS,,,,,,I never liked followers, they usually make me ill!!!
KUNG FU HUSTLE's "Beast" reigns supreme in old-school gem.......2005-05-01
There aren't many name actors in TEN TIGERS OF SHAOLIN (1979), but the performers are all quite good and the fights well staged, culminating in a final battle that takes up the last 25 minutes of an 85-minute film and involves at least two dozen principal players fighting with fists, feet, sticks, knives and swords in an open field.
The lead actor is Bruce Leung, who has fortunately been rediscovered thanks to Stephen Chow's KUNG FU HUSTLE, in which he plays an institutionalized kung fu master known as "the Beast," who is broken out of an asylum to fight the hidden masters of Pig Sty Alley. Leung was quite a busy actor and fight director in the good ol' days of old-school kung fu and it was the 2005 release of KUNG FU HUSTLE which inspired me to seek out his earlier films. In TEN TIGERS, he's one of the title group of kung fu fighters and gets to battle early and often, starting with the opening fight sequence. There are other familiar faces in the solid kung fu cast, although the only other "name" player is Jason Pai Piao (HELL'S WINDSTAFF, SHAOLIN RESCUERS).
The simple plot has to do with the Ten Tigers running afoul of a corrupt official who, at various points, kidnaps one or another of the Ten Tigers' women, prompting a series of escalating encounters culminating in the huge brawl at the end. The action is frequent and furious and certain to please hardcore kung fu fans. And it is a pleasant surprise to see the earlier work of one of the key performers from KUNG FU HUSTLE.
Ground Zero's DVD of TEN TIGERS boasts print quality and a video transfer that are much better than average for this company.

Old school kung fu flicks.......2007-09-03
If u enjoy old school kung fu flicks than getting this collection of wu-tang movies is a must.
Decent but not as impressive as I first thought.......2006-06-30
For some reason both sets comments show on this page..
Here's a list of the movies for those wanting to know:
Set 1 (1 - 5):
18 Fatal Strikes
Enter the Invincible Hero
Sleeping Fist
Fists of Legends 2
Shaolin Chastity Kung Fu
Set 2 (6 - 10):
Return of the Deadly Blade (1981)
10 Magnificent Killers
Fury in Shaolin Temple
Revenge of the Patriots
Shaolin King Boxer
While I will admit these are mostly all decent films, it's sadly telling that the movies in the "previews" included on these discs *AREN'T ON ANY OF THE WUTANG CLAN DVD SETS* (yet, at least). So if you want Liquid Swords, Master Killer, Nine Demons or any of the Venoms, well, as WuTang would say it.. you gotta buy those seperate, son.
On the other hand, if you already have all the known premium old-school fu titles and you want some good action at a decent price, then these sets (and their later 20 dvd set, also available here) may contain films you haven't seen. If so, grab 'em. If not, pass.
COULD SOMEBODY PLEASE POST WHAT MOVIES ARE IN THIS COLLECTION.......2006-03-08
I would like to know why the reviews say awesome, kungfu at it's best, and a secret gem, it would be nice to get a description of why this is so good.
BUT HEY THE CASE LOOKS COOL DOESN'T IT.
A secret gem.......2005-02-16
Outstanding compilation for true fans of the art of karate! Went back and purchased 2 more for my teenage nephews.
Kung-fu @ it's best.......2005-01-29
If anyone knows kung-fu it's wu tang. There is nothing finer than a collection of the best in fighting. If you're expecting a video music collection, then you're looking in the wrong place. This is fine kung-fu classics at their best. Remastered and just freaking amazing. Enjoy the wu tang classics. Kung Fu Fantastic.
