Product Description

Two 18-year-old Kung fu trainees, each of whom was raised apart from the other by different teachers, whose intent is to have the boys fight to determine which teachers were better. The Boys father had been sworn brothers, but an attack by Chin Troops, when the boys were infants had left one father dead and the other in hiding. This plot thread is dropped when one of the boys, Kuo Ching(Fu Sheng) meets a young girl, Yong(Tein Niu), whose father is a celebrated teacher whose disciple had been killed earier in the film by Kuo in defense of his own teacher. Things get really complicated and involve families reuniting, priests, rival teachers, a two-part kung fu manual and a madman who knows the manual. It all comes down to a contest for the hand of Yong between Kuo and a rival suitor.

Don't waste time.......2002-07-13

Originally called "Kung Fu Warlords", this
movie was the beginning of a classic four part (!)
movie series which is absolutely worth seeing if
you are an old school / Shaw bros. fan. However,
despite a great cast and an interesting story, this version
is indeed swiped off the telly (you see a break for commercial
2 or 3 times), looks terrible, and - worse than all the rest-
is missing about an hour's worth of footage. Rent if you
must see it, the Ground Zero edition was not worth their releasing it.

The Worst Shaw Brothers Movie I have ever seen........2002-04-15

This movie is quite lame considering the cast and crew. It was definately recorded from tv. You can easily see where the recorder stopped for commercials. At one point you can almost make out the station identification at the break. Despite the great cast the kung fu is quite bland, and the acting is hideous. I believe the person recording this movie forgot to hit record after one of the commercials. There is way to much important information missing when names and events are mentioned.

Completely Uncut! I would like to see more Shaw Brother Classics rereleased By Celestial Pictures! The Brave Archer series is one of the most Bizzare and amazing Kung-Fu movies of all time.
