3 out of 5 stars Not their best............2005-02-02

I recently purchased this dvd and wasn't as impressed as I was after seeing Changes. The guys are a lot more rowdy in this one and although some scenes are comical (the laundry scene especially) if you are interested in their music and getting a more mature insight into the band from the band themselves....this may not be the right choice...but if you're a Godsmack fan...as I am....it won't be the worst thing you ever saw.

    3 out of 5 stars So-so Smacked.......2004-10-25

It was a bit of a disappointment in all honesty. I'm a big Godsmack fan and I thought this was a really cool DVD when I was first starting to watch it. But about halfway through I found myself to becoming a bit bored. Sure things like the signing of the topless chicks, seeing them trash the dressing room, and Sully daring a guy 200 dollars if he could eat an onion was really cool. But I found myself to be disappointed because there were several parts that I felt were unnecessary and should have been removed. I was also massively let down when I discovered that none of the songs are shown in their entirety. I would love to see an entire song and not just a couple of seconds of it. The only complete song they show is when Sully sings Pantera's Walk with all the other members of Pantera. Also the Drum Duel between Sull and Tommy is really cool. Well, it's essential if you're a Godsmack fan, but other bands have been able to release better DVD's then this. Also there is no 5.1 sound option. I hoped this helped.

    1 out of 5 stars don't bother.......2004-01-26

Why anyone would put out a music dvd in the 21st century that was not in dolby digital 5.1 is beyond me. It might be because there are more breasts than music included.

5 out of 5 stars Worth the $$$$ just to see it.......2003-11-16

This DVD absolutely cracked me up--the laundry room and backstage scenes are worth the money just for the laugh--not for the squeemish though. Gotta see it if you're a fan.

4 out of 5 stars Oh Those Crazy Metal Bands!.......2003-09-26

Yes, we've all seen it before; demolishing dressing rooms, streaking, and of course those ubiquitous topless babes. Such is the life of many a rock band on the road and Godsmack is no exception. Still, this is pretty funny stuff that shows Godsmack; primarily goateed frontman Sully Erna; are fond of touring hijinks. The video starts by showing Erna and guitarist Tony Rombola doing Erna's laundry while high. Who knew doing whites could be so much fun? Later on, Erna pretends to be a gay reporter asking bassist Robbie Merrill stupid questions and later yet beats up Merrill's brother(a roadie) after he is depants on the tour bus. The video does offer a brief history and clips of early Godsmack rehearsals and various occasions onstage where Erna indulges his unpredictable side by: using malfunctioning guitars as sledgehammers, drunkenly jumping out onstage with Pantera and noticing that a fan in the fifth row has urine in a jar. It's a good life, if you can get it.

3 out of 5 stars Darkside review of Lust for Mommy Tomb.......2005-10-17

Want to see Misty Mundae naked? Dig in. The plot, story, acting, who gives a flying fluck. If you're really looking for any kind of entertainment here other than full frontal naked Misty Mundae and big brown beaver. You're truly pathetic.

3 out of 5 stars Misty is the Greatest Special Effect of All..........2005-07-06

This ain't Khalis from the Universal movies folks and this movie is not for the kiddies. In fact, the Mummy in question is only a prop for the greatest special effect of all...the divine Misty Mundae. Misty's great, and I thoroughly enjoyed seeing her in this "movie," but good lord this is a cheapy. The starting scene of Misty luxurating around on a bed is distracting because of the dingy-looking bed she's rolling around on. Thank goodness someone had the good sense to cover up the bed with a red velvet sheet or we may have glimpsed a few Butterfinger or Heath bar pieces left over from director William Hellfire's nightly trips to DQ.

The next scene of Misty in the shower is great, but again I was distracted by the condition of the shower itself. FILTHY! I mean, good god, why not clean the freaking thing up before you put your beautiful starlet in it! I love the pan down Misty's body where you can clearly see the tiles missing from the bottom of the shower, and the weird fungus growing on the grout. I don't consider myself a clean freak, but I can only hope poor Misty didn't get a nasty case of athlete's foot by stepping in there. Yuk!

Alright, the rest of the movie isn't that bad, in fact Misty in the library looking at the books/ videos is my favorite scene. However, I had a hard time (no pun intended) believing that Misty is looking through her dad's collection of pornos when you can clearly see a collection of Harry Potter books on the bookcase in front of her. But hey, one man's porn is another man's Potter or something like that.

Anyway, Misty fools around with the Mummy and the Mummy's undead girlfriend and then heads upstairs to change her clothes. All a day at the office.

The extra short film "The Vibrating Maid" is really bad and makes little use of Ms. Mundae's extraordinary talents. You can probably guess from the title what it's about.

The extra bonuses are clips from three early films with Misty in cameos and are interesting if only to see a really young Misty with short hair (!) and a makeout scene with Misty and a guy in which Misty is sporting a really painful-looking case of sunburn. Owch! Porcelain skin does have its drawbacks...

I'd recommend this to Misty fans and completists, but at over $20 you may want to wait a while. Everyone else who might be wondering what all this "Misty Mundae" stuff is about would be better suited renting or buying "Witchbabe 3." Now that's a good movie...

    1 out of 5 stars Very disapointing.......2005-03-30

I don't know how people liked this movie... compared to other movies of the same type. Most of softcore movies don't have good stories, but this one has none. The sex scenes are boring. Most of the actress, except Misty, are bad looking.
I think I waisted my money on this one.

    2 out of 5 stars THIS IS MINDY'S BEST?.......2004-08-21

Every other review here rants about how this is the ultimate Misty Mundae film. If that's my understanding, I don't need to see any more of them. Don't get me wrong. I'm a Misty fan. But I really have some issues with Seduction Cinema.
First off, the "feature" is only about a half hour long. And the tacked on "Vibrating Maid" short is only about 20 minutes. And being Seduction Cinema, the other women in these features are both absolutely hideous. TThe fat maid has sagging breasts and nipples that are as big as dinner plates. The woman in the Mummy short just stands there in a bad harem outfit and rubs her breasts. Ooooh, I'm (yawn) getting...so...horny....
And you know, Seduction might be part of their name, but it isn't part of the execution. You see beautiful Misty climbing out of bed with a thong on. Now, I don't know about you, but I'd like to see a little thong shot. Nope, off they go. This happens all the time in SC films. Beautiful lingerie? Quick, get it off before someone enjoys it!
And whoever operates the camera must've been given the instructions "Don't bother shooting the good stuff from an angle you can see". Misty is in a short skirt writhing on the Mummy's face. Where's the camera? In front of her, not behind where you could enjoy it. And the mummy is just a joke. His "unit" is all wrapped up. And Misty goes down on it! What a waste. And anything kinky you might get out of this shot is pointless since the camera is on the other side of the room.
I must admit though, this is the first SC feature I've seen that shows women getting off on things other than their nipples being played with (a problem in all other SC films I've seen).
Whatever crappy bits of plot they come up with always end up eating up major screen time! It's obvious they know the stories are crap. They don't even try to compensate for it with good nookie! I'd be willing to pay more for this films if they promised to show some actual smut. I like soft-core stuff, but most of their films don't even qualify. The movies are so bad they would make Joe Bob Briggs puke. There's never more than a minutes worth of spankable material in ANY SC film. If you don't agree, go jack off to Animal Planet or something, because you obviously have no idea what "erotic" means.
Misty needs to leave these talentless bastards behind.

5 out of 5 stars Great dvd, LOADS of bonus featurettes and clips.......2004-06-22

This dvd feature Misty at her lustiest showing full on budity 90% of the film and even a nude upskirt(NO PANTIES), the ABSOLUTE most Misty has ever shown up previously. She tramples around in mini skirts and skimpy outfits, speaking in a society girl voice. One of the great lines in the film is when Misty says in her society rich teen girl voice "Oh, Daddy, you know I'm always a good girl"

Great stuff with a full 20 minute featurette and half a dozen featurettes(almost as much as teh entire dvd "Girl Seduction", featuring a great clip of Misty making out with some guy in a abandon house, she's a SO young here, and very PERKY!!!!!!!!!!!!!

5 out of 5 stars Another soft-core winner from John Bacchus........2005-06-27

Erotic Survivor is a hot and funny straight-to-video flick that parodies the reality t.v. program "Survivor". Not only are the women hot (Darian Caine, Esmeralda De La Rocca, Misty Mundae, Jade) but it's funny as well. The girl-on-girl scenes are smoking. I couldn't be happier. I love the videos from Seduction Cinema. You can't go wrong with their videos. John Bacchus is a genius! No bannana hammocks to spoil this one.

    Highly recommended!

1 out of 5 stars Vote it off the island!.......2004-06-21

I agree with the other reviewer...this was very lame. It tried to be funny and sexy and failed miserably on both points. Bad acting and not enough action (to make it worse, the "action" that was there was not very entertaining). I'd give it 0 stars if I could. This one definitely needs to be voted off the island and erased from memory. It was not worth the money.

    4 out of 5 stars A dead-on sexy spoof of TV's Survivor.......2003-02-02

Erotic Survivor is a pretty funny spoof of the reality show Survivor, poking great fun in particular at the whole alliance and trust aspect of the game. We see a lot of individual segments with each character, which makes the Survivor gambit play even better. We start out with 8 contestants, all of whom are stranded out in the woods a good hundred feet from civilization, and director John Bacchus stands in as the Jeff Probst-like host. The contestants are in for 3 days of roughing it, while competitions are held each day to determine what tribe loses out. On one side we have the Hey-Hu-Nanni tribe with the annoying hypocrite Christian, the weird whiskey-drinking Ward (who actually resembles Burt Ward), the doped-up hippy Bernie, and Mary the professional censor. Across the way, there is the Pu-Nanni tribe consisting of a red-headed Esmerelda Dellarocco, Jade Duboir, the enticing Misty Mundae, and the typically outgoing Darian Caine. The girls' principal weakness is their preoccupation with carnal matters of a decidedly female nature, although this preoccupation also affords them an effective means of keeping their spirits up. The prize all of these men and women are playing for is an incredible sum of twenty dollars (that's not a typo)-that kind of money can buy you a lot of beer, as Darian points out. Competitions consist of a truth-baring relay with something other than a baton, a Spam can-opening contest, and a question and answer round on the subject of sexuality.

The erotic segments of the movie aren't bad, but they're not what I would call sizzling either. Fans of both Darian Caine and Misty Mundae should not work themselves into a frenzy because there is no intense interaction between the two here; I myself found that somewhat disappointing. Actual Survivor moments are put to good use here, including a tapioca search and the discovery of a supposedly hot mud pit. If you watch this movie for the girls only, you might be disappointed to find that there is as much time spent on spoofing Survivor as there is. The erotic action is actually somewhat limited in this Seduction Cinema production, but there is a better than average amount of comedy. My particular favorite moment is Esmerelda stopping to light a cigarette while trying to start a fire by banging rocks together. Featuring a heavy-handed satirical take on Survivor, plenty of laughs, and a decent amount of Seduction Cinema girls being Seduction Cinema girls, this low-budget video is not a bad way to waste and hour and a half.

3 out of 5 stars from Fringe Video Fanzine Issue #005.......2002-06-08

Six strangers are stranded on the sweltering plains of the African Savanna. There, they must play together to survive, while "...feeling each other out, and up..." The sole survivor will walk away with an incredible $20.00. Tune in as the survivors out-kiss, out-lick, and outplay each other. Much like Indican Picture's Survivors Exposed (2000) [reviewed in Fringe Video Issue #004], except along with the naked lesbian action, this parody actually does have some watchable contests which include: A race where pennies are carried in the cleavage of a survivor team-mate; Condoms are filled blindfolded with Jello; A blow up doll race; Multiple choice sexual questions; and dirty scrabble. In between the contests the girls get to know each other better stopping for sex in the woods while searching for food. "...the girls find themselves indulging every untamed urge, erotic alliance, and lustful lesbian desire..." An enjoyable time, however the reality show thing is getting very stale, and unfortunately so is everything that goes along with it.

2 out of 5 stars why did they make this movie?.......2002-03-05

i'm a huge fan of seduction cinema's "erotic parody" movies, and of director john bacchus. the original EROTIC SURVIVOR is an exceptionally well-made goof on the popular television series, full of hilarious jokes (like all of bacchus's movies) and always fun to play when you throw a party. however, i'm having a hard time figuring out why bacchus made EROTIC SURVIVOR 2. it has none of the elements that made the first one good, it feels like no one really wanted to make this movie. even bacchus, who plays the host of EROTIC SURVIVOR 2, appears to be having one miserable time. if i didn't know better, i'd say he was somehow obligated or forced to make this. without the energetic acting and funny dialogue that always separates a john bacchus film from the hordes of other... flicks out there, you're left with an empty viewing experience. the DVD itself is also unusually spare in the extras department in comparison to past seduction cinema releases. all you get is a brief "making of" feature and a couple trailers for films that are already available. the only assumption i can make is that bacchus did EROTIC SURVIVOR 2 for the hell of it, sometime when he was working on PLAYMATE OF THE APES, his most ambitious and highly entertaining effort yet. check that one out, skip ES2.

5 out of 5 stars A Vampire Lesbian makes TITanic sinking stimulatingly enjoyable,, even laughable.......2007-03-30

this has to be the funniest Vampire movie I have ever watched, it is hillarious,, and the Vampire Lesbian babe is Hot,, and with Tina Krause,, any movie is always smoking ,,, Misty Mundae, was playing a base guitar and sporting a short wig,, but this is the first movie that Misty kept her clothes on, but her smile is priceless; the slapstick humor of egor the Vampire's sidekick is just to die for,, lol,,, If you are Vampire-a-holic, and love Vampire Lesbian babes, and if you are a Tina Krause Fan, this is a must buy for your dvd collection...I give this movie a 5 star rating for humor, a 5 star rating for beautiful women and a 5 star rating for Tina Krause's acting and bodacious body in this movie,, HOT,,, for the weak at heart it is not, The Vampire Lesbian wears a fishnet teddy that is smokin hot,, Here is one Vampire Babe that can bite my neck anytime,, ,,A++++ movie

    5 out of 5 stars Finally..theTRUE story!.......2005-11-13

At last..a recollection of the true historic facts about the demise of the luxury liner Titanic and her crew of vampires. Not many people realize that this is why so many people perished on that fateful night. You see vampires are killed by running water...that fact was established in Dracula, Prince of Darkness... and the reason so many people died that night was because there was a whole ocean of running water... what do you expect? They were vampires after all. Another all too obvious clue was the "rescue" ship Carpathia... it was named after the Carpathian Mountains where Dracula and his vampires lived. Forget all other documentaries and Titanic movies...including that historically incorrect abomination "A Night To Remember" and get this gem of a movie for the true story. People may be confused and call this movie cr*ppy only because history has even got the name of the ship wrong...it wasn't the Titanic.... it was the Sh*tanic! You see how easily it is to get confused. Buy this movie today.

When i first saw this film i thought....GREAT a paraody of Titanic and Vampire movies wrapped loosly around a porno. I was dissapointed. The humor of was poor at best and the stars looked GREAT! but there wasn't enough or varied enough. If you see it...RUN!

1 out of 5 stars One of the worst T&A flicks I've ever seen!.......2000-09-12

What more can I say about this horrible mess? Not even the luscious Tammy Parks can save this dumb, poorly made flick. Not nearly enough nudity. Geez. What's the point?

    5 out of 5 stars Fantastic!.......2007-02-26

I love this movie.I owned it on VHS for many years before buying the DVD.
I think it is a truly misunderstood and underappreciated film.
For all the people who are offended, you should look deeper and listen to the filmmakers own words and understand what the film is about.
It is a social commentary and a social criticism on how the media, schools, Parents and the community at large handles the aftermath of such a shooting.I thought it was wonderfully done. There is also another message that the film puts across. A very important one. That constant abuse and ostracism can drive people to such desperation and hopelessness that they feel the only way out is to destroy themselves and others. The film never condones such an action.Just presents an understanding of it. Bill Hellfire,Joey Smack and Misty Mundae were perfect in their roles and Smack and Hellfire did a fine job in the producing and directing aspects.
Although Misty had done other things before, this film is where her career really took off.

As far as the DVD itself, the print is some darker than the VHS, but the sound is improved over the VHS version.
A few minor characters are cut out of the DVD version (The Priest, Gun rights spokeman, ect), but that doesn't disrupt or take anything away from the story at all.
And the special features are excellent.

1 out of 5 stars LIke a bad High School play put to film.......2006-08-20

This "movie" shows what wrong with the home video market. That anyone can make a movie. There's nothing redeeming about this movie. Satire? I don't think so. Social commentary? I don't think so. The writing is awful. The direction is well, I wonder if there was one. And the acting is so bad, it makes Vin Diesel look like an Oscar winner. Do yourself a favor, if you want to see a real movie about the problems with school violence, pick up a copy of "Elephant" by Gus Van Sant.

    1 out of 5 stars Not A Review Just A Comment.......2006-04-02

Thats the thing with movies though people get so worked up over it they post messages on message boards. It is entertainment no one will force you to watch. You can't sue someone over being tasteless. It may have crossed a line but thats the thing isn't it?? It got your attention and publicity and isn't that all they are looking for?? If no one responded they would still be where they are with nothing and working at WAL-MART, but I look at it as entertainment not a learning experience. An experience horrific as it may be is still an experience which we can learn from and when we have the chance to really say something then we can say it.

1 out of 5 stars Yes, it's exploitive, but not in any good way.......2006-02-17

Made by a sort of "clique" of film folks in New York, the fact that you have even heard of this "home movie" is proof that in our culture, how you wrap something is far more important then it's actual substance. It really was shot with a cast of under 20 "actors" (maybe less)and peopled with misfits clearly working without scripts. It's just poor folks. Save your money. They pick a subject that polarizes folks, generate some free publicity, and voila, you have to read about their crappy movie on Amazon. It could have been shot in your backyard (maybe it was, are you home ALL the time?).

    4 out of 5 stars Yeah........2006-02-10

"I admire DUCK very much because it refuses to shrink back from the event itself. In fact, it is the only cinematic response to the Littleton massacre that refuses to recoil in the face of the disaster."

    ...Yeah, what he said. :)

    5 out of 5 stars If You're Just A Clown, Don't Write A Review..........2007-07-25

I don't know what this guy who wrote the review before me is on, but he's obviously an ignorant hater. This guy probably never even watched this DVD, but since he can't spell or make sense any better than that, what more could you expect? Basically, there is a reason that S.M.A.C.K. is the #1 hip hop DVD magazine in the streets: because it is raw, and always top-quality. As usual for S.M.A.C.K., in Volume 8 you can expect a solid DVD loaded with exclusive interviews, freestyles, uncut music videos and more. And forget these 30 or 40 minute long DVD's all over the place these days, this DVD is over 90 minutes long with nothing but the realest street sh--, no filler. Again, if you're just a clown, don't write a review, but if you know what the hell you're talkin' about then go for it.
