Description
The incredible story begins in the New Mexico desert at the border of paranormal reality. An unlikely convergence of strange phenomenon spawns a creature with seductive feminine charms and gross mutations. With a parasitic alien inhabiting her monstrous body, Candy, the human host fights a losing battle with the beast until it's secret grip can be broken. This shocking movie breaks all the rules of filmmaking and will stay with you forever... unless you can't stay with IT!

Strange....but good.......2006-01-04
Low budget movies are a dime a dozen, but once in a while we find
a gem. Found one in this movie, yes its a strange one, but
the director took a stange direction with this one and it works.
Makes a low budget movie feel like a almost regular weird movie.
Just a bit too much of one character (the warden) but the movie
flows pretty good... hey, now that's quite a tongue on that lady.
The movie falls into the: Must be seen once Category.
No.......2005-10-21
When I saw this movie at the video store and noticed it was made by A-Pix productions, I fell down. I was so happy to have found yet another movie by A-Pix, my favorite movie group. So Iwatched it. It was everything I expected; confusing and jumping plotline, horrible effects, and no talent acting. There was a first for A-Pix in this movie; a really hot chick. But, like a slap in the face, we don't even see her lovley lady lumps bared.
No, the only reason I gave this movie one star was because it got better reviews than Grim. As you should well know, Grim was the film that took A-Pix to the top of... well, nothing, really. We should all come to pay our respect to Grim, for we no longer have Kadamba with us. She was shot in London for reasons unknown. Ok, now, type in Grim on the search engine, and bye it. You will thank me.
one of the worst of the worst.......2005-07-18
"Attack of the Killer Tomatoes" is givin credit the credit for being the worst film ever made, and rightly so. This movie may very well be a very close runner up. This film very much has the same feel as Killer Tomatoes, but if you liked that you can probably watch this. But for the rest of you there's absolutely nothing enjoyable at all about this on any level. Calling it schlock would be insulting to schlock movies. The story is so completely aimless; ridiculous and incoherent I could barely sit through it. I doubt that anyone who was in the film even puts it on their resume' it's so indescribably awful and embarrassing. I got to wonder how desperate Melinda Clarke and Robert Englund was to do such a movie? Did the director have some sort of dirt on them or something? I just cannot fathom what came over them. I honestly wish the rating systems had integers, because even zero stars is too good for this drek. Even on the cheese whiz scale I'd give it negative three stars. Plus, it has got to be one of the worst transfers to full screen I've ever seen. Often, the people speaking are only a sliver on the edge of the screen, if on screen at all. I don't think they panned at all; they just stuck it in the middle and scanned away.
Bizarre beyond belief.......2005-01-18
Although all the other reviews of this title are fair and honest, nothing anyone can say will prepare you for the bizarre-o fest that is "Killer Tongue." A worthy companion to "Brain Damage" and "Basket Case."
Fair warning to those who care about such things...the video transfer on this DVD is simply awful. It's clearly an old recycled VHS transfer with nothing done to clean it up. Scene composition is severely compromised and the image is fuzzy and soft throughout. Sound is OK, but no better than VHS Hi-Fi. There are absolutely NO extras beyond a handful of trailers for other films also available from Ardustry. In short, this DVD issue is sadly lacking, but if you're a fan of the flick it will probably do just fine until something better comes along (if ever).
Freaky flick .......2004-09-22
LOL The killer tongue I liked the movie especially the tongue he was funny and I a into these freaky like movies and the title really says it all Killer tongue and its a really good movie the killer tongue is a nice freaky flick the story could've have been better but what can you expect with a title like that

An enormous asteroid is heading towards Earth and threatens to wipe out all life on the planet! Sound familiar? Since the Cold War nuclear-threat movies played out sometime in the early Nineties, there was a spate of films that found the Earth threatened by H.R. Giger-style aliens or giant rocks from outer space. With a movie like Judgment Day, comparisons to Independence Day and Deep Impact are inevitable. Actually, this direct-to-video release is the more enjoyable, without the insultingly simplistic plot of the former or the heavy-handed chin-rubbing portent of the latter. A boulder crashes into a Peruvian village, obliterating it; it's a mere pebble compared to the whopper that will crash earthward in a couple of days. The military brass opts for a Star Wars-style weapon to destroy it, but the only man who can help make the thing work has been kidnapped by a cult led by religious head-case Mario Van Peebles. Enter the FBI and convict Ice-T, imprisoned for taking revenge on Van Peebles to settle a personal score. The film veers towards being a political thriller, a 'hood movie (with a Coolio cameo), an action film, a buddy movie and old-fashioned sci-fi along the way, but the sum total is a pretty entertaining B-movie that never quite takes itself too seriously. Fans of TV's Barney Miller should enjoy seeing Max Gail getting a migraine as the head of Air Defense Command, Van Peebles is great as the charismatic religious screwball and Ice-T is
well, Ice-T. --Jerry Renshaw
Description
A giant meteor is expected to crash into Earth in a matter of days - a crash that would cause global devastation. There is only one chance to prevent impending doom. The government must find Dr. David Corbett (Linden Ashby), the creator of the Thor Project - a "Star Wars"-type of satellite system, and use his help to annihilate the fragment. But before Corbett can be contacted, he is kidnapped by militant religious cult-leader Thomas Payne (Mario Van Peebles), a zealot who believes that judgment day is rightly upon us. The government is forced to enlist the help of Payne's archenemy Matthew Reese (Ice T), a convicted killer, who is the only man who could know Payne's whereabouts. But will they have time to find Dr. Corbett and save the world? Find out in this fast-paced, action-packed thriller.

What this movie is missing is Ice-T and Coolio in space.............2005-10-04
Ice-T (Mean Guns, New Jack City) is released from being a convict by female cop Suzy Amis (Firestorm) because religious gospel talking Mario Van Peebles (Baadasssss!, The Hebrew Hammer) has in his capture a scientist, played by Linden Ashby (Mortal Kombat) who can stop a astroied from wiping the planet out. All that's missing is Ice-T and Coolio in space, that would be cool. Seeing them in space, trying to stop the astroid...that would be cool. No, nothing of the sort in this thriller which just doesnt thrill, it gives off bad acting and kills Coolio (Batman & Robin) off in his cameo. Suzy Amis doesnt even look like's she trying, Ice-T is himself and Peebles doesnt even give off enough juice in his role though he has some moments. Also starring Tommy "Tiny" Lister Jr (The Fifth Element, Friday movies). Suffers from being just too boring.

Ice-t has done a whole lot of crappy movies but he's a cool dude so whenever he's in a movie the movie gets watchable even if it's a crappy one...
This one is a b-action movie like ice-T has done a whole lot of but this is probably one of the better ones... last ones I saw was POINT DOOM and AIR RAGE and they are ten times worse than this...
About the movie alot of good actors like tiny Lister Jr, Mario van peebles and a not so good actor: don't know her name but its the female cop who has the lead...
I'm not saying this is the best movie ever but it's enjoyable...
SHOOTING STARS.......2005-02-19
Okay, so the back of the DVD box is really misleading, since they show several asteroids hitting NYC, which is erroneous because the asteroid is one big chunk and decimates the San Francisco area. But since packaging isn't worth docking a movie, I'll focus on the film itself. JUDGMENT DAY while not big budgeted like similar DEEP IMPACT or ARMAGEDDON is nonetheless entertaining on its level. Rather than focusing on pyrotechnics involved in destroying the asteroid, we get to focus on FBI agent Suzy Amis (once married to the King of the World James Cameron) and convict Ice T (in one of his more tolerable characterizations) trying to find the one man who can stop the asteroid from obliterating manking (Linden Ashby). But enter religious fanatic Thomas Payne (played rather controlled by Mario van Peebles), who believes the asteroid is God's judgment so he kidnaps the scientist to prevent him from destroying the asteroid. It seems rather odd that there would be only one man capable of affecting such a global catastrophe, but it's Hollywood, man, so anything goes. Director (former actor John Terlesky of Deathstalker II) keeps the pace tight and delivers what you probably would expect from this straight to video release.
THIS IS A MUST SEE MOVIE.......2003-12-17

Ok, so call me shallow, but I guess I tried to watch this movie a couple years ago, and I found it again the other day on my DVD shelf. I could not figure out how it got there or why I didn't remember much of it. Well, I figured it out pretty quickly. The female lead looks like she forgot to take off ghoul makeup and put on wrinkle cream or any other makeup. I mean seriously she looks so weathered that it pretty much ruins the movie, which otherwise is generally entertaining. I would have preferred looking at a fat lady for 90 minutes to looking at the lines all over her face.

A 1976 novelty item for Jackie Chan completists only; he plays one of his rare costume roles, and his only bad guy. The star is Jimmy Wang Yu (One Armed Swordsman) as Hero Mei, a freelance warrior whose top-secret weapons are explosive projectiles known as killer meteors. Mei is hired by the so-called "Immortal Meteor," Hua Wa-bin (Chan), to eliminate his pesky wife, who (Hua claims) is plotting to kill him. There are some clever, gimmicky fight sequences and some amusingly far-fetched weaponry. A couple of glamorous sword-fighting women are also involved, as is a potion called the Pulverizing Drug, which melts people into puddles, like vampires exposed to sunlight. But there's so much plot to get through (adapted from a lengthy serial novel by Gu Long), and so many long-winded explanations to plow through that none of the characters have much free time for fighting. The movie plays both as hard-boiled (with everybody betraying everybody else) and as a medieval Chinese conspiracy yarn: kung fu Robert Ludlum. --David Chute

Wang Yu Vs. Jackie Chan.......2007-03-10
Sometimes if an actor has not had a successful run as a lead then it behooves him or her to take a supporting role. After the box office failings of New Fist of Fury and Shaolin Wooden Men, Lo Wei decided to cast Jackie Chan as a villain in a secondary position to the lead of Jimmy Wang Yu (who starred in many popular pictures as a one-arm martial artist and many not-so-popular films as a two-arm martial artist.) Wang Yu's stardom was slowly fading at the time of this picture, but he had a much more recognizable name than Jackie's. Useless tidbit: according to Jackie, he made 12,000 HK dollars to Wang Yu's 50,000. The Killer Meteors was based on a Gu Long novel and it was the first of two films to be shot in Korea (To Kill with Intrigue was the second.)
Jimmy stars as Mi Wei the Killer Meteor, a sarcastic master of Kung Fu who know no equal. He is so feared and admired that criminals will cut off there fingers in repentance rather than to face his possible wrath and master martial artists serve underneath him. I like Wang Yu's performance with his cocky panache (he even keeps track of his enemies all 491 of them) and glib humor though his character is a bit too "strong" for there to be any real conflict in this film. Also, his weakness at martial arts is very noticeable because of the direction and his slowness (Master of the Flying Guillotine is a good example of where he is choreographed well.) But who needs adroitness of movement when you carry a cool weapon like the Killer Meteor. Only three people have seen this weapon and two of them are dead. Most of the time he uses it as a club on the criminals who are undeserving to die by it's true form.
Wei is approached by Qing, the famous Blue-Robed Swordsman who must bring him to the Celestial House of Hua the Hearty (Wa Wu Bin in some translations/dubbings) before July 15 (according to subtitles) or he will die. Mi is intrigued by this, for he is always looking for a challenge worthy of him, and goes with Qing. When he meets Hua (Jackie Chan) he finds a sick man who needs the Killer Meteor's help. Hua was poisoned by his wife in his Ginseng soup (otherwise a normally healthy soup) and she gives him a yearly dose of antidote. Hua does not like this arrangement and wants his wife dead and the antidote all for himself. Wei accepts this challenge though he learns of the four feared bodyguards of his wife: Blazing Star whose weapons are the Plum Blossom Needles (always a favorite of mine, though for weapons so small they always seem to be caught), Killer Hands with fierce suction grip (like GI Joe's Kung Fu grip with vacuum power), Black Lama whose good at black magic and Taoist Ghost (Lee Man Tai) who is good at tricks. Now these characters sound good, but there use in the film is less than desirable.
Unfortunately the plot is weak. There are too many twists and turns that negate previous plot points and characters who are not whom they seem to be. Or are they? My notes on this film is huge but explaining even half of them would be tedious. Generally if plots become overburdened then you can fall back on the martial arts in the film. With Jimmy being the lead character and unless he was being doubled for flips the martial arts are too slow and the action too pedantic. Also there is not a lot of fighting. There are two main fight scenes between Jackie and Jimmy. The first fight scene is the best while the finale is a bit disappointing. It takes place on wooden poles with stakes on the ground - resembling an action scene from Jimmy's earlier film Master of the Flying Guillotine and a bit like Yuen Woo Ping's Iron Monkey, though both are much more interesting. Luckily for the viewers Mi Wei shows off his killer weapon.
The Killer Meteors was a failure at the box office and did not help either Jimmy's or Jackie's career. Along with the confusing story and mediocre action scenes there are too many problems with this film ranging from the overuse of the "lifted" King Kong score to really cheap costumes. Yet, I cannot say I wholly disliked the film. I liked Jimmy's performance, Jackie's "bad guy" performance, some of the story, the beautiful scenery and the titular weapon. Since there is a plethora of better Jimmy Wang Yu and Jackie movies there is no reason to recommend this film unless you are into watching all of Jackie's or Wang Yu's films - like me.
DVD Notes: the two editions of this film I own are the Columbia version and the Simitar Platinum Series version. There is very little difference between the two. Both versions are full-screen (with the credits running letterboxed), both have Mandarin dialogue (though for some reason the Simitar version says Cantonese which is wrong), both have the same dubbed version and both have the same running time (104m). The Columbia version does have English subtitles though.

I never would have believed it,,,but his flick turned out to be my worst kung fu experience,,,,it was painful and embarrassing to watch. A real waste of talents. The fights were average,,,but the story was nothing less than garbage. I feel really bad for Jackie Chan and Wang Yu. I would not recommend this rubish to my worst enemy!!
ORIGINAL IS BETTER.......2006-02-05
If you want UNCUT ORIGINAL version, ALWAYS look for ORIGINAL LICENSED Production. NOT US Release. Its a foreign film, it should not be US version to begin with~! HELLO!!!?? Why settle for LESS with US Version where they edit and cut so many excellent scenes especially with Jackie's Fighting Scenes. And US Release ruins the speed and sound as well. I have been collecting Jackie Chan's movies both HK and US Release Version for quite some time now. I found HK Version to be MUCH MORE in enjoyable, and HIGHER in Quality. American Market always like to "Americanize" and "Control". Regional Code Regulation thing is one of the example to CONTROL the Market. Why not let everyone enjoy the same HK Original Release move the same way ENTIRE WORLD enjoys it ?? No one makes Hollywood American movies to "French version" or "Chinese Version" ~! This what Americans are doing~! Well, enjoy the cheap "American version" then~! LOL
I like it.......2005-08-05
This is a good Kung Fu flick. I enjoyed it. Great fights and the Killer Meteors are awesome. Jackie Chan plays the bad guy which I like because I'm use to seeing him as the good guy. I don't regret buying this movie at all.

Okay hear is the deal, this movie was not a Jackie Chan movie, he was barely in it and when he was he sucked, the action overall was really poor unless Jackie was fighting and even then it was not that spectacular. even bareing in mind that this was never intended to be a jakie chan type movie and is more of a supernatural powers, Chinese folklore movie I still thought it was kind of a waste of time and money, and i got it for under ten dollars, if you want to see it once, well it's your time.

Description
A taste of hell! "Killer Tongue" is the story of Candy (Melinda Clarke) and Johnny (Jason Durr), a couple of attractive bank robbers on the run from the law. As part of their plan, Johnny turns himself in to the police and is sentenced to a couple of years in prison. All hell breaks loose when a meteor crashes near the Mexican border. A few days before Johnny's release, Candy accidentally eats a piece of meteorite and grows an incredible cannibal tongue with a mind of its own. The tongue comes face to face with Candy's enemies and punishes each one accordingly. With Candy's inability to stop the tongue's behavior, Johnny's love for Candy is the only thing that can ultimately destroy the Killer Tongue.
