good, but had potential to easily be more.......2006-10-20

I'll start off by being honest and saying I have not seen part 1 yet. There were some clips at the beginning of this film from part 1, and they looked somewhat decent...mostly the Bolo Young character in some fight scenes. At first I was not expecting much from this movie, and really bought it cause it had one of my favorite B-movie martial arts villains, Bolo Young. I realized that the overall cast list was pretty good, consisting of Bolo, Jalal Merhi, Cynthia Rothrock, Eric Lee, Evan Lurie, and Ong Soo Han. There are even plenty of other extra guys, with great physicall build and abilities for the martial arts tournament in the film. I was prepared for some great fights among some great movie martial artists.

Most of the movie has a pretty good feel to it, and I think the music helps a lot - it almost sound like similar music used in Terminator 3. Pacing was good and I actually never realized that there wasn't too much action taking place. By the end of the film I longed for the action, and was pleased to see there was a tournament. The fights were short though, and only a few were decent. Bolo gets to fight too, but only in a couple of very short fights. The biggest dissapointment was the use of Ong Soo Han and Eric Lee, yet without little to no fighting from the 2 and both usually have excellent fights in most of their movies. Ong Soo Han's character's fate was a huge disappointment. The other big dissapointment was the finale with Bolo - I was hoping for a great fight scene with him and Jalal or Cynthia - didn't happen. He uses a few seconds of Tiger Claws on some guys, but its pretty stupid when each time he executes, the sound of a roaring tiger follows.

The plus is the final fights between the Cynthia Rothrock charcater and a couple of bad guys, and the Jalal Merhi charcater vs the bad guy character played by Evan Lurie, which ended up being the best fight of the movie - more evenly matched and longer.

Tiger Claws 2 ends up being average overall. The decent list of characters should have provided an extremely great action movie, but the best guys don't get to fight much. Hopefully Tiger Claws 3 will have a great fight with Bolo...oh wait he isn't in part 3....major doh!

Hey Where Is Part 1 !!!!!.......2002-02-09

A good Martial Arts B movie. This is one of my Bolo Yeung Favorites, he is just dirty in this flick. Both 1 & 2 are good, 1 is better. Why is Tiger Claws 1 not on DVD but 2&3 are? I don't know what they are thinking but I like to see my movies in order! Wait for part one on DVD First(on Widscreen) before buying two.

Save your money and your valuable time........2001-04-17

Even if you don't think your time is valuable, it would be better spent and enjoyed if you stared at the off-white wall in your bedroom. At least your wall has texture. This movie is total trash. A big waste. And the martial arts, if you can call them that, are a joke.

no Bolo...doh...barely Cynthia...doh doh.......2006-12-01

What started out as a decent movie, ended up in dissapointment and just an ok flick. Cynthia Rothrock is indeed only in the beginning of the movie, and the rest focuses on Jalal Mehri, who sorry to say, can not impress me very much. Loren Avedon (No Retreat, No Surrender 2 & 3, King of the Kickboxers) plays the bad guy in the movie. His acting actually seemed to improve over his cheesy acting in his other films, but I spoke up too soon by about mid-way through the film. The 3 ancient evil masters he calls upon are nothing spectacualr in the film, in fact they never speak. Their skills are alright and they consume most of the fight scenes in the movie. The final fights in the film are about average, involving Jalal Merhi versus the masters and the Loren Avedon character against his old master, who has now taught the Jalal Merhi character how to fight.

The ending of Tiger Claws 3 is a twist that is almost ridiculous. It kinda made me mad cause it allowed the movie to leave out Cynthia Rothrock when it really shouldn't have. Oh well, this is an average flick, basically good to complete the Tiger Claws trilogy, nothing more. Oh, and yes, No Bolo Young in this one, doh.

Not a CR movie !!!!!!.......2004-05-19

Well if you're looking for Cynthia Rothrock action in this movie, there is none. It is not a CR movie, but pure Jalal Merhi!
If you like him sure, go ahead and grab this one.

Tiger Claws III (DVD).......2001-08-31

This movie was good, but it was not what I expected. I assumed that Cynthia Rothrock would be one of the main characters throughout the whole movie, instead she had a small part. I was very disappointed because I am a Cynthia Rothrock fan. Otherwise, since I am a martial artist and I like martial art movies I recommend this movie. It contains good fighting scenes as well as a good plot, and an interesting kung fu style.

No need to learn German or Russian.......2001-08-17

This title has been available only in German and Russian language versions until now. This release has gotta be way easier to understand. So she`s not on screen every second. Anybody have CR competition video?

Tiger Claws 3.......2001-08-11

For anyone hoping to see Cynthia Rothrock reprise her roles in Tiger Claws One and Two, this movie will be disappointing. Ms. Rothrock makes only a cameo appearance in this film. One gets the definite impression that her appearance was more about box office than about improving the film. The movie itself is not the worst of its genre. Although there is some woefully sad acting in the non-fighting segments. The action is pretty good with Jalal Merhi serving as the protagonist. Cynthia fans would only want this video to complete their collection, not for the pitiful amount of time she appears in this film.
