The Abs Diet Workout has been enjoying favorable reactions from many users, and it's easy to see why, as "host" and fitness trainer Tom Holland has designed a regimen that's brisk, efficient, thorough, and fun. Disregard the hype that calls it "a way of life" instead of simply a diet or exercise program. On the other hand, Holland's claim that The Abs Diet Workout will increase metabolism and help lose fat and build muscle is very likely true, assuming one dutifully does the exercises and follows the diet guidelines and menus as directed. The exercise portion offers a brief warmup (running in place, jumping jacks, simulated jump rope), followed by a choice of three abdominal routines; the latter vary in difficulty from beginner to advanced, but all three are designed to work the upper, lower, and oblique abs, as well as the transverse abdominis muscle and the lower back. The "circuit training" portion also has three options, each including squats, lunges, quad and hamstring stretches, pushups, and various exercises for the arms (the use of dumbbells is recommended). Add to that an extensive list of recipes for a diet plan that includes three meals and three snacks per day, and you've got pretty much everything you need for a comprehensive program designed to yield noticeable results in a matter of weeks. --Sam Graham

ABS WORKOUT.......2007-09-13
My life is changing- I do this 3 times a week! EASY to follow, and takes 30 minutes for AB workout and cross training! GET READY!
Money down the drain!.......2007-05-07
I can't believe I wasted my money on this workout video. It was not at all what I expected it to be. I barely got a workout. Its slow and definitely not for those who crave intense workouts. I say its a waste of money unless you enjoy easy, slow workouts that you can't benefit from. It sat on my shelves for months until I finally gave it away.
Abs Workout.......2007-02-15
The Abs Diet Workout is fantastic. Simple, easy and effective! I enjoy doing the exercises and find it a realistic and achievable program. I am starting to feel a change in my body after only two weeks. I believe that if I continue doing these exercises I should notice an improvement to my physique. I feel like I'm doing something positive when I do the Abs exercises and therefore don't mind making the effort to perform the exercises. It's great!
The second dvd is much better!.......2006-11-07
I purchased this dvd because I own the 2nd one and like it so much. Boy, was I disappointed! The abs diet people must have decided to create the second dvd because this one needed a good edit. The second dvd covers basically the same exercises but with better instruction and form. Skip this one and buy the Abs Diet Workout 2!
It really works!.......2006-08-23
I'm not keen on workout tapes or DVDs but I bought this because I got a deal when I bought the book, too. But this is a great workout DVD with 3 levels, one right for everyone. It doesn't take long to work out with it and the music that accompanies the action really gets you going. I've lost 15 pounds in 6 weeks by using the Abs Diet book (it shouldn't be called a diet - more of a lifestyle change in a positive way that anyone can stick with) and the DVD.

John Badham's family-oriented adventure comedy, though obviously hatched in the wake of E.T. and Star Wars, manages to create its own identity through a sweet tone and an affectionate sense of fun. Military robot Number 5, a well-armed killing machine, is zapped by lightning during a test and emerges with a consciousness, curiosity, a wacky sense of humor, and a new peace-loving philosophy. Ally Sheedy (who debuted in Badham's hit WarGames) is the animal lover whose home is sanctuary for a zoo-full of strays and who adopts the adolescent robot. Steve Guttenberg is the goofy but reclusive robotics designer who goes off in search of his creation to save him from the gun-happy army. The mix of gentle slapstick and innocent romance makes for a harmless family comedy. It veers toward the terminally cute, what with 5's hyperactive antics and E.T.-ish voice, and the mangled grammar of Guttenberg's East Indian sidekick (Fisher Stevens) threatens to become offensive, but Badham's breezy direction keeps the film on track. Sheedy and Guttenberg deliver spirited and engaging performances, but most importantly the robot emerges as a real person. Give credit to designer Syd Mead, an army of puppeteers and robotics operators, and the cartoony voice of Tim Blaney: Number 5 is alive. --Sean Axmaker
Description
Something wonderful has happened--Number Five is alive! Steve Guttenberg and Ally Sheedy co-star in this high tech comedy adventure about Number Five, a robot who escapes into the real world after he short circuits in an electrical storm and decides that he's human. Because he's carrying destructive weapons, the Defense Department and his designer (Guttenberg) are desperate to find him. But Number Five is being protected by a young woman (Sheedy) who is teaching him a gentler way of life.

Fair Warning Before Watching:.......2007-07-07
I haven't seen this since I was a child. It came out when I was 10.
I only got one sentence to desctibe this movie! Make sure you are only a few inches from the washroom when you see this; it's that humorous!
Too much profanity for a comedy!.......2007-05-27
While the basic plot is fine and the robot is charming, the acting is weak and the addition of sexual jokes and swear words does nothing to enhance the movie. Skip this one and jump to Short Circuit 2, which is a much more entertaining movie, and the acting is better too.
Great Robot Movie All of Times.......2007-05-22
I love the movie when I watched that with closed-captioning on HBO 10+ years ago. Unfortunately, this DVD doesn't contains Closed-Captioning. I love the extra features and the quality of DVD is great! I was disappointed IMAGINE company didn't add one very important feature for Deaf - a closed captioning. Amazon did put down Closed-Captioning and I bought it, and found it doesn't contains with Closed-Captioning. Of course, I was disappointed and knowing I couldn't do much. (Short Circuit 2 has Closed-Captioning and English Subtitle with Tri-Star Columbia Company.). Hope Fox company will release this title and add this very important feature a Closed-Captioning.
preview film before showing to children.......2007-05-14
I had seen this film many years ago.
I had forgotten how much "questionable" language and the one incidence
of inappropriate "finger" humor that there was.
I would not show this film to children.
What an enjoyable movie to be ruined by gratuitous PG13 language.

FUNNY MOVIE!.......2007-09-09
I ENJOY THIS MOVIE EVERYTIME I WATCH IT. IT WAS IN GREAT CONDITION WHEN I REVIEVED IT AND IT WAS FAST SHIPPING.
Oldie but goodie.......2007-09-03
This is one of my favorite all time movies. The robot really has a funny personality and the animation of the robot is great.
best movie ever.......2007-08-28
Sort Circuit 2 is one of my favorite movies of all time, possibly my most favorite. I first saw this movie when I was around the age of 9 (I am now 26) and loved every minute of it. I reveiwed it again as an adult and still loved it. that in itself is unusual, most of the movies I liked as a child I find dreadful now. Is this movie a little corny? yes. Is the story really believable? no. But who cares!? SS2 is a great movie that explores emotional themes that almost anyone can relate to. Highly underrated movie.
Amazing .......2007-07-26
Amazing movie well at least in my opinion a must see for any one who loves 80's movies
Great Product!.......2007-03-08
Well packaged. Arrived in good condition.
Some mild language present and violence directed toward the robot. Otherwise, good children's entertainment.

Ever wish you could hire Kathy Smith--she of the amazing body and wonderful encouraging attitude--to be your own personal trainer? This new disc, which combines three earlier separate workout routines, is the next best thing. It includes one of Smith's absolute top workouts, Functionally Fit: Peak Fat-Burning, which is tailored to all levels, needs no equipment, and really works if you work it. This routine combines intense aerobic blasts with "cool-down" toning moves that keep the body moving but work it out in different ways, to maximize fat-burning long after the workout is done. Two earlier workouts are also included. Secrets of a Great Body: Upper Body Workout focuses on arms, back, chest, and shoulders, and includes some serious ab work (do as many as you can with good form, and work up to the full routine). Hint: people with shoulder and neck issues should take it easy on the overhead reaches, which Smith does with ease, but which can exacerbate problems in those with computer- and posture-related issues. The Secrets of a Great Body: Lower Body Workout focuses on the squats, lunges, and lifts that will give you lean body mass in your glutes, hips, thighs, and calves (one thing we appreciate about Smith's workouts is that she doesn't neglect the calves, which some exercise mavens do, but which are so important to strengthen and keep flexible for walking and supporting the rest of the body). Alternate among these three workouts to keep yourself interested and engaged, and you'll see some serious results. Ready? Let's kick it up! --A.T. Hurley

Pretty good.......2007-08-06
The toning really burns. I don't like the circuit, because the toning in between the aerobic doesn't feel like it's doing anything. The cardio bursts are tough, though.
Compilation of 3 well-done workouts perfect for beginning home exercisers.......2007-07-11
If you are new to exercising at home and are looking to make a single purchase to meet virtually all of your exercise needs, this DVD set by veteran instructor Kathy Smith just might fit the bill. You get three complete workouts: an interval-style cardio workout, a weighted upper body work, and a lower body workout. Brief descriptions of each are listed below.
Functionally Fit Peak Fat Burning. A well-done, 42-minute aerobic workout for advanced beginner to intermediate exercisers. It uses an interval training strategy, which involves alternating high intensity cardio bursts with slower recovery periods. It offers lower-impact options and plus toning work for the lower body.
Secrets of a Great Upper Body. A solid workout targeting all of the major muscle groups in the entire upper body. Includes detailed instructional portions between each exercise as well as helpful form cues. The entire workout is about 32 minutes long, which includes a 6-minute abs/back portion.
Secrets of a Great Lower Body. This 40-minute workout targets all of the muscles of the lower body using the low-rep overload principle. A chair is used for some of the moves, and ankle weights are optional. As with the upper body workout, there are detailed instructional portions between each exercise as well as helpful form cues.
In all three of the above workouts, the moves are pretty basic, so more experienced exercisers might find them to be boring. However, Kathy is an enthusiastic instructor who is perfect for motivating beginners, and thus I would definitely recommend this DVD set to anyone who is just starting out.
Great Workout.......2007-03-08
I think this is the best workout I have used and I have tried plenty.
I would recommend it for intermediate users.
Challenging and Effective Workouts.......2007-02-11
I'm an intermediate/advanced exerciser, and this set of workouts from Kathy Smith is one of my favorites. As everyone always says, Kathy is a great instructor. She's upbeat and encouraging but never insincere or annoying, and her cues and explanations are helpful and to the point. I'm no expert on weight training, but from my point of view the upper and lower body workouts are incredibly thorough -- I worked muscles I'd never thought about working -- and the format (an explanation and demonstration precede each new move) makes it easier to get the correct form. The 40-minute cardio workout alternates 6 higher intensity intervals with segments of "active recovery" and lower body moves, but my heart rate stays elevated the entire time, and I finish feeling like I've had a good day's worth of exercise, especially if I use the "advanced modifiers" Kathy presents. The moves are very simple and easy to pick up, but never too boring. Overall, if you can get past the eighties fashion and production values, this is a very effective set of workouts, and a great deal.
LOve It!.......2006-11-06
I really enjoy this dvd I have most of Kathy Smith's excercise tapes. this one they demonstrate the proper technique on each excercise, And you can "break" up the segments too. You Don't have to do the whole dvd in one day if you don't feel like it. Each segment works different Muscle groups and she explains along the way. You can't miss with Kathys excercise videos/DVD's!

Until you've seen NASCAR: The IMAX Experience, you haven't really seen NASCAR. Even without the advantage of a gigantic IMAX screen and 70-millimeter 3-D projection, this 48-minute IMAX film is a perfect primer for newcomers to the sport of stock-car racing. Like all IMAX films it's aimed at a mainstream audience (hardcore NASCAR fans won't learn anything new here), so it covers a broad spectrum of general history, technical information, and pure high-speed adrenaline, from NASCAR's origins in 1947 to the oval-track highlights of the 2003 season. While Lonesome Dove director Simon Wincer captures the action (including some amazing mid-pack and cockpit footage during actual races), Kiefer Sutherland narrates an informative survey of season-long activities, from car building and safety measures at Mooresville, North Carolina, to pit-crew practice, transportation logistics, constant danger and its effect on drivers' wives and families, and the aerodynamics of drafting. Interesting trivia (each tire costs $389!) is included along with driver profiles and a compilation of memorable race finishes, but it's the IMAX footage that makes this a thrill-a-minute DVD, perfect for anyone who's just beginning to enjoy the world's fastest (and fastest-growing) sport. --Jeff Shannon

COOL DVD.......2007-08-16
This is a wonderful DVD for Nascar fans, but you don't even have to like Nascar to enjoy this.
Make sure you have your home theater system cranked-up for this.
All I have to say is WOW!
Loud and proud.......2007-04-18
The NASCAR world was one completely foreign to me a year ago. Then my son (who was then 5) got hooked on the racing scenes in the Cars movie, and suddenly he discovered NASCAR... and now all our Sunday afternoons are booked watching races.
I bought this DVD for my son for his birthday a couple of weeks ago. It's really interesting and well done. I watch it having already been brought up to speed on the sport; I know nearly all the drivers, their sponsors, and their car numbers. But I imagine this documentary would be nearly as fascinating to newbies, mostly because of the IMAX treatment -- cameras putting you "right there," in this case right down on the track as cars whip by.
The DVD includes a good history lesson and great explanations of how a track functions on race day. The pit crews get proper treatment, too. One criticism is that few individual races or drivers are highlighted; perhaps the filmmakers simply wanted to emphasize the "experience."
I wish I had seen this on an IMAX screen!
An Aussie Review.......2007-02-08
NASCAR - The Imax Experience was an interesting documentary giving an insight into NASCAR. It could have been a little longer, but was enjoyable.

Customer Reviews:
Overall effective and challenging.......2007-08-20
This DVD is very similar to Karen Voight's "Burn & Firm: Circuit Training" video content-wise, except the cardio segments in these routines involve a step. I actually prefer the cardio portions of this workout to those on Burn & Firm, as the use of the step offers a greater challenge which actually elevates my heart rate.
The toning segments on this DVD deliver an overall body-toning workout using one set of lighter (3-5 lb) weights and one set of heavier (5-8 lb.) weights, which includes several combination moves (such as doing a bicep curl with one arm while doing a triceps kickback in the other). The lower body toning exercises mostly involves some squats and lunges off the step. However, the abdominal section includes raising the step bench on one side as to create an incline, and while this is supposed to offer a greater challenge by working the lower abdominals against the increased gravity of the legs, I feel it places unnecessary strain on the back. There are just as effective and less strenuous ways of working the lower abdominals than this. The accompanying music and look of the set is nice, but as with a lot of Karen's other exercise DVDs, it somewhat lacks the fun factor in my opinion (her personality doesn't really click with me for some reason). Her cuing also isn't the best (she's already on to the next step before instructing you to follow her lead), and you may have to practice doing the cardio routines several times before finally catching on. However, I do like how you can pick-and-choose which exercise routine, or which combination of exercise routines suites your needs.
Despite a few flaws, I'd recommend "Ultimate Step Circuit" as an effective total body cardio & strength workout overall, though personally I prefer Cathe Friedrich workouts for this sort of routine.
Rating: Good
Fun cardio workout.......2007-07-05
I love this step workout! It took me a few times to get the hang of all the steps, but now I feel like I know it by heart. As other reviewers have noted, there are a few times where Karen starts a step before she cues the viewer in, but after just a couple times of doing this workout, you get the hang of it.
Personally, I'm not as crazy about the weight segments. The great thing about this DVD, though, is you can select which segments to do. I usually just do the three cardio circuits in a row and then do my own free weights. I also own Elle MacPherson's "Your Personal Best" video which features Karen. I'm familiar with her style of exercises and enjoy her coaching and fun, upbeat workouts.
A little more cardio, please.......2007-07-02
You can always count on Karen Voight to give you a well-developed workout and Ultimate Step Circuit is no exception. I bought it because I was hoping that I'd get a great step workout from an instructor that brings a lot of positives to the field of video exercise. Unfortunately, there's only about 30 minutes of stepping and even when I chose the option where you do all the step segments at once, I couldn't hit my target heart rate for long enough to make it worthwhile. Likewise when I chose the combo (step segments alternating with toning) option on the DVD. But it's still a good overall workout option (vs. sitting on your couch and eating Cheetos) from one of the best instructors out there.
Excellent workout.......2007-06-07
This workout is excellent to move, tone, sweat it all. You feel every muscle working, and Karen is very good explaining the moves.
I have a complete collection (taebo, zumba, step) and this is one of my favorites because I know I'm working everything with it.
good overall.......2007-05-15
Its was good overall workout. It was easy to follow not alot of complicated dance moves. I liked the weight segments throughout, was a nice variation. Some of the positions on the bench for stretching I didnt care for, position bothered my knee. So I did it on the floor. I enjoyed it.

Fun Total Body Aerobic Weight Training Workout.......2007-09-09
I would rate this workout as a solid intermediate to low advanced. I would rate a Cathe Friedrich strength workout as an Advanced. This is a very fun with no dread factor true AWT workout. Emily is very personable and cues quite well. The pace of the workout allows for the exerciser to up the weights. The reason I find this workout so fun and effective is because it includes a little of everything and at the end I feel as though I've had a good total body workout. This workout includes some step routines, hi-lo, strength and floorwork. The variety is very motivating to reach for this time and again. The music is good. While the set is not as elaborate as The Firm Classics it doesn't take away from the workout. Everyone looks as if they are enjoying working out and this adds to motivate you to do the same. Of this series the other workout I also enjoy is Allie's Maximum Cardio Burn. Both of these are a favorite of mine.
Great Workout!.......2007-08-23
I am startled that some people find this video to easy. I am an advanced cardio exerciser (5 days/ week 40-60 minute sessions) and I follow the advanced Firm rotations. I consider myself to be at an intermediate-advanced shape.
I do NOT have a sculpting stick, I have the TransFIRMer, and I found this video to be very challenging and HEART PUMPING! The trick to any FIRM workout is to really push yourself. Do you think the girls in the videos got so fit and sculpted using 3-8 pound weights? I don't! I busted out this video using 5-20 pound weights.
The heavy 4-limb at the beginning of this workout is 4-limb work at its best. I was truly huffing and puffing. Throughout the workout, any time the instructors used the stick for "balance" and held one dumbbell in their hand, I grabbed both dumbbells and really felt the burn.
I loved Emily as an instructor; I thought her cueing in cardio segments was right on. I found her cardio segments to be more fun than other FIRM instructors (I am a huge kickboxing fan). I did find the transitioning to be tough to keep up with, but there is a tiny little button on the DVD played labeled "pause" and I am not afraid to use it! I think that being challenged from quickly going from segment to segment when learning a new workout is a good sign, so when you are comfortable with it, there will be less waiting around for explanations.
My only problem with this video is doing chest work on the ground. I usually pull out a stability ball for other FIRM workouts, but Emily combines the chest exercises w/ tricep pushups, which need to be done on the ground.
All in all, this is so far my favorite Cardio + Sculpt workout!
Still a winner!.......2007-08-07
I bought this DVD over a year ago and I still use it at least once a week, as part of a 4 - 5 day exercise program. I consider it to be low impact but I am dripping with sweat when I'm finished. There is very little jumping involved but the workout comes via the step and sculpting stick. Even the equipment is worth the money. Emily Welsh does mix up her left and right cues at times, but it's really no big deal. This Firm workout is one of four that I own and I like all of them. I sweat hard with all of them and they make me feel like my hour was well spent. Keep your water bottle and sweat towel close by because you'll barely have time for a sip or a wipe between routines. The music matches the routine and it all flows perfectly, in my opinion.
Too easy.......2007-07-08
I purchased the fanny lifter and a combination Firm dvd that I loved. I was using them for a while and then thought I'd try this one. I found this one way too easy for some of the exercises, particularly the lower body. The upper body portion was good though. I didn't see the usefullness of the "pole" that she was using, so I'm glad I didn't go out and purchase that. Overall, I think it's an okay workout, but not one of the Firm's best.
Great body workout.......2007-04-11
Great workout, you cover every area of your body with intensity. No body part is left alone. Most workouts sometimes you feel as though a body part was neglected, not this one. A great buy that converted me to the Firm Series.

If you buy just ONE workout, make it this one...........2007-08-15
I have alot of workout DVDs from many different instructors and this is one of the best workouts I have ever done! The above reviewer did a great job of breaking down and explaining the workout so I won't repeat it.
Michelle Dozois is a true professional, her cuing is excellent, the production is beautiful and the music very upbeat and motivating. The Express feature is wonderful for time crunched days. The ladies in the workout are busy moms,'real' people, their stories are very inspiring. There is simply no way that, combined with a sensible, portion controlled eating plan, you will not get great results doing this workout.
This is the first workout in The Your Body Breakthru series with two additional titles to be released in September. I will definitely be the first in line to purchase them when they are released.
I can't say enough great things about this workout! It's so much fun, very refreshing with new moves I have not seen in any other workout, the cardio steps are easy to learn. It's PERFECT! I highly recommend this workout, perfect for beginners to advanced exercisers, you advance simply by increasing your weights. Michelle uses BOTH dumbbells and a resistance band in this workout, which I loved, you truly get the benefits of both types of training. AWESOME!!
Fun and fantastic ;-P.......2007-08-09
I really love Michelle Dozois as an instructor. She's friendly, encouraging, a good cuer and easy to listen to. She leads a group of four exercisers in this circuit routine. You can start by watching a small introduction and then can either do the full workout or an express one.
It's high energy all the way and with good music and a fun set, it's motivating. She uses intervals of intense aerobics alternating with body sculpting in 7 circuits. Each circuit targets a different area of the body and almost no muscle is left untouched. This is an easy workout to follow as she lets you know in good time, what's coming up next. All the equipment you need is some weights and the dynaband that comes with this (mine is a great purple band). I have to say that it's nice for a change to see 'real' people working out on the dvd. Not all are size 0's which is great to see.
I really love this new workout and I've done it three times already and found it challenging but fun and as long as you are somewhat fit already, you'll find it easy to do but still feel the burn the next day. I really love this and highly recommend it.
A fun circuit workout with plenty of unique moves!.......2007-06-27
Your Best Body Circuit is part of the Your Body Breakthru series by instructor Michelle Dozois. This was my first video in the series, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed it. The DVD Main Menu offers the following options: Full Workout, Express Workout, Chapters, Testimonials, More on Your Body Breakthru, Michelle's personal message, and Contact. The Full Workout is 58-minute workout consisting of a warm-up, seven cardio/strength circuits, and a cool-down, while the Express Workout provides a shorter (35 minutes) version of this. Equipment used includes 2 sets of dumbbells (medium and heavy) and a resistance band (Michelle and crew use a straight band, but my handled one worked fine).
Here are the chapter breakdowns:
Warm-Up
Circuit 1 (Back and Biceps 1)
Circuit 2 (Chest and Triceps 1)
Circuit 3 (Back and Biceps 2)
Circuit 4 (Chest and Triceps 2)
Circuit 5 (Shoulders w/Legs)
Circuit 6 (Legs)
Circuit 7 (Abdominals)
Cool-Down
The warm-up is just under 5 minutes long and is consists of some light aerobics plus moving stretches. Each circuit begins with a short (2-3 minutes) cardio segment consisting of a simple series that is repeated 3 times. The cardio sequences are performed first on 1 side of the body, then the other (ie, you do the same cardio moves for Circuits 1 and 2, but your start on your right leg for 1 and then move to your left leg for 2). The cardio is fairly basic, with moves such as jacks, lunges, and knee lifts, but the addition of some punches and kicks adds a kickboxing flavor. Although there is a bit of impact to some of the exercises plus a few plyometric moves such as power jacks, one of the four background exercisers always shows a low-impact option (I chose to follow the modifier at times and still had no problems keeping my HR in my target zone).
I especially enjoyed the strength work for assorted reasons. First of all, the exercises were quite varied and different, especially the band work. However, Michelle also offered new twists on more traditional exercises, such as lowering into a squat, pulsing while lifting one foot, and then raising back up. For further variety, Michelle varied the count of the exercises, doing 2-2, 4-1, 1-4, etc. (similar to Jari Love's Ripped workouts). Furthermore, I liked that there was a functional fitness component to many of the moves, with twisting exercises like the wood chop as well as balance work. I also appreciated the strong emphasis on back work, as this is an area that is often overlooked. The only complaints I had about the weight segments were that 1) Michelle moves very quickly, sometimes making it difficult to set up the next move in time (particularly when working with the band), and 2) in Circuit 2, there was a push-up series that was extremely challenging--although a modification was shown, the difficulty level of this exercise seemed out of proportion with the rest of the workout.
I consider myself to be an advanced intermediate exerciser, and I found this workout to be perfect for both my level and my preferences. However, given both that modifications are shown and that you can always vary the amount of weights used (I used mainly 8# and 10# dumbbells), I think that this DVD would appeal to a wide range of exercisers, from advanced beginners to intermediates to those at a full advanced level. Michelle has done an excellent job in creating a challenging workout that is both interesting and fun to do; highly recommended!

Great for someone who is busy and wants to stay fit like me. .......2007-09-09
I have been doing Billy Blanks kick boxing tapes for 5 years and I recently got the cardio circuit routine. I like the emphasis on the abdominals and sideline. I love all the twists. Throughout the workout, he brings you back to toning and trimming your sidelines. I enjoy doing his workouts because I feel like they get right to it. I always break a sweat and can have a gratifying workout in 35 minutes. Great for someone who is busy and wants to stay fit like me.
Towel please!.......2007-05-20
I had the original Tae Bo videos which helped me lose 50 lbs. In the past month I lost one pants size. sooo excited!!! : ) This video is good if you need a small step up in your intensity. Even though it is 35 min, in the end I am sweating buckets. I feel like someone dunked my head in a pool full of water. Not something I would recommend for beginners. I love what he says at the end. You got to give some to get some! so true. Good luck eveyrone.
Great Workout!.......2007-05-14
I've had this video for a month now and you can really tell a difference. I feel so much better and I now have to wear belts to keep my pants from falling down. The first few times you do the video, it is very hard but it gets easier as you go and I love how it is only 35 minutes so it is easy to make time for. I am out of shape and can do it so I think this workout is good for anybody wanting to loose weight. Definitely recommend this video to everyone.
SHUT UP BILLY!!!.......2006-12-07
Don't get me wrong, the workouts are great and they really work. Billy is just sooooo annoying in the videos. He just doesn't shut up. He constantly repeats the same thing over and over again. Just demonstrate the different moves and close your yap. His constant talking even affects the balance of the workouts - sometimes your are doing 5 reps on the left side and only 3 on the right because he is constantly talking and loses track of the workout.
Thank the lord for the MUTE button!!
Love it!!.......2006-10-25
Great for your abs! I love it that it is only 30 minutes and you get a great workout. This DVD is more organized than some of the other past tae bo tapes. Billy Blanks is inspiring and since the rest of the crew is keeping count, he doesn't get off when he goes back to working out after some instruction. I have slimmed down my abs and made my legs leaner and stronger. This workout doesn't bulk you up - it does a nice job of toning and making you look leaner. I turned to tae bo after having my second baby and am thinner now than before I had my first. Great workout and short enough to keep with it regularly.

Somewhat disappointed.......2007-08-08
I felt I needed a change from Denise Austin and The Firm DVD's, so I bought this item. It was a nice change for a brief while then became boring and not a very intense work-out. I also thought that some of the cardio routines were awkward and didn't seem to "flow" well. Needless to say, it has gone to the bottom of the pile and I seldom use this DVD anymore. On the positive side, Karen isn't obnoxious (like other exercise instructors)with chitchat or forced enthusiasm during the DVD.
A Great Little Workout :-).......2007-06-21
So Karen is one of my favorite instructors because I love the fact that she produces efficient, graceful, and fun workouts that can be done in less than an hour. This video is just over 45 minutes, including warm-up/cool-down, and I felt that it was the perfect blend of low-impact cardio and strength.
No, this isn't the hardest workout I've ever done...but during the cardio intervals your heartrate will get in the fat-burning zone, and it will stay there if you push yourself during the strength segments. It is an easily modifiable workout, you can make it harder or easier just by changing your weights (all you need are hand weights and optional mat/stool).
It is an especially good workout (in my opinion) for people with knee or hip problems who can't take a lot of jumping around/high-impact movement. It is a great workout to use on your cross-training days if you are training for a race, or just run a lot. This is my 3rd dvd of Karen's, and I am very happy with it-I think you will be too!
Great addition to your rotation!.......2007-06-13
At first, I didn't think the cardio portion of this dvd was that effective until I mastered the steps.. then I was able to really put forth the energy and PUSH myself, adding more flair and bounce to the movements. The moves are graceful and fun, and I love her no-nonsense instruction. This dvd really has it all... the toning is excellent, I use 8 lb weights for the upper body segments, and I can really feel the burn. I also love the lower body section, as it fires up my glutes big time (just make sure and squeeze them full force in order to get the full benefits!) This dvd has been in my rotation for awhile now, and I don't see getting tired of it, as it moves along quickly with different and interesting body movements. Give this one a try!!
Great workout.......2007-05-23
I like to do the double circuit and it is a great workout! Would highly recommend.
Solid workout, staple in my routine.......2007-04-09
I'm a fan of all of Karen's work. This is another solid workout, excellent cuing including cuing on form and modifications. I always break a good sweat with her workouts. I usually just do the cardio but it's all good.
