Sure, Street Trash has a convoluted, ridiculous plot, but it also features bums who melt into rainbow sludge upon drinking a fermented relative of Thunderbird, Tenafly Viper. In this '80s B-movie akin to The Toxic Avenger or C.H.U.D., Fred (Mike Lackey) is the main homeless guy who distributes Viper he's lifted from the local liquor store. Once he discovers the alcohol's lethal potential, he wields it as a weapon, eventually fighting head criminal, Bronson, a psycho-killer Vietnam vet who carries a human femur bone handle knife. Side plots, such as one involving a begrudging policeman who seeks to clean up the Street Trash community housed in a junkyard, or the one featuring Wendy, the hot girl who guards runaways from the junkyard's fat, mean owner, are beside the point. Watch Street Trash for its infamous penis scene, in which a member is chopped off and tossed around in a game of keep away, or watch the film to see a man melt down into a blue pile as he's flushed down a toilet bowl. Street Trash's gore isn't so disturbing as it is comic, as are the bums' New Romantic costumes similar to Dexy's Midnight Runners in the video for their '80s hit, "Come On Eileen." Applaud Street Trash for its gaudy, horrendous splendor. Notably, this re-release contains the original Super-8 short of the film, featuring even more homemade special effects and low-grade humor.--Trinie Dalton

I'm a serious collector of horror/scifi. In fact, in about an hour I'm about to go to the bank and mail out $350 for my newest order. That said, THIS movie is way over priced. Why Amazon would think this thing deserves a $27 price tag is beyond me. What is this, FYE??? This was an OK movie, but I really don't understand why there was so much hype for this special edition DVD. Do yourself a favor and buy a $2 ex rental instead. I will say this, the guy who was stealing from the store was extremely funny.

4 out of 5 stars Street Trash Treat.......2007-07-29

I saw this movie at the New Zealand "Incredibly Strange Film Festival" a few years ago and it was my my favorite of the Festival. It has some great scenes and I bet the crew had fun with the paint charts picking the colours for the melting people. Fully recommend it to all B grade aficionados.

5 out of 5 stars Hilariously gross and very entertaining gore flick........2007-07-12

Well what can I say about Street Trash, it was gross, disgusting, bad but also one of the best and most hilarious films I've ever seen. The characters in the film really look like bums they even act that way and they happen to look very filthy, the film doesn't exactly have a storyline and it seems to go from one plot to the next but the main plotline concerns these two runaway brothers who are trying to survive living in the junkyard they're also helped by a Japanese woman who works there and gives them food meanwhile a liquor store owner finds a wooden case behind a wall in the basement and finds these cheap bottles of tenafly viper so he ends up selling it for a buck to the local bums not realising what this cheap booze does to a person when they start drinking from it they either start melting away or explode (wow talk about having a hangover), there is also a subplot about a mafia boss's girlfriend who gets raped by the bums at the junkyard and a vigilante cop who is out for revenge cause hes sick and tired of this psychotic Vietnam vet named Bronson who also happens to be the main villain, you get to see him beat up a mafia hitman to death then proceed to vomit on him yes very nice and just when I thought I had seen it all the bums at the junkyard start playing catch with a severed penis, not only is this film very sick and twisted but its also very over the top in a humorous way. The film has some very nice and gory special fx where lots of bums end up melting into a slimy and gooey pile of flesh and Bronson has a love interest thats guaranteed to make you barf. If you enjoy films like Deadalive or Bad Taste then you're going to love this, this film is definitely not for the squeamish but if you enjoy some gory 80's low budget comedy/horror films then I highly recommend this plus it has James Lorinz from Frankenhooker he probably has some of the most hilarious lines in the entire film this guy should seriously do stand up comedy.

5 out of 5 stars My new favorite.......2007-06-16

Street Trash has got to be the best movie I've seen in a long time. It's cheesy, gory, and funny. The fx in this movie are great also. I mean a bottle of booze that makes people explode? How could you not enjoy this movie!?

5 out of 5 stars "What's The Matter? Can't Hold Yer Liquor?".......2007-04-26

In just the first two minutes of the awesomely awful Street Trash, we are treated to instances of bad acting, shaky editing, implausible plot, garish title credits, and horribly hokey, electronic music. And none of it matters, because Street Trash is the most unapologetically glorious and ghoulish film the good folks at Troma never made (but probably wish they did).

With a diabolical sense of humor and hilariously hard-boiled (and highly quotable) dialog, Street Trash is also quite possibly the dirtiest movie ever made - and I'm talking about dirt in the "dug out of the earth" sense, not dirty in a sexual sense (although there is a bunch of nudity, a dash of necrophilia, and a touch of wiener-tossing for good (or bad) measure (the last of which brings a more literal meaning to the word "dismemberment")).

Featuring fantastic sets (including quite possibly the greatest junkyard hideout in cinematic history) and authentic Skid Row New York locations, the grime is so gratuitously applied and supplied to places and faces that some of the actors' lips seem glow-in-the-dark bright by comparison. The grossout effects are also surprisingly good for such a low budget filth fest (they were realistic enough to make me cringe, anyway). For sure, a lot of this film's fun comes from watching each person having their, shall we say, colorful meltdowns...

Street Trash features the first work of such eventual cinematic luminaries as Jim Muro, the cinematographer of Crash (as well as The Last Mimzy!) and X-Men and Usual Suspects director Bryan Singer. Equally notable is James Lorinz' hysterical first acting outing as the outrageously disrespectful doorman. Plus one of the greatest end credits songs of all time, performed by Sopranos' stalwart Tony Darrow.

Stay away from this film if you're weak of stomach, but definitely feel free to use this delightful piece of cinematic grotesquery as a dieting aid, as this movie will do such a good job of making you lose your appetite that you'll be looking for it for days! Ultimately, I think the best indication of the raunchy, sleazy ride you're in for with this flick is expressed by one of the last acknowledgements in the end credits, which reads: "Thanks, Anita, for taking me to see 'I Drink Your Blood' when I was six."

Yup, that about sums it up. Thanks, Anita!

1 out of 5 stars Cheaply made garbage!.......2007-03-11

With a title like "Bizarre lust of a sexual deviant" you would think this movie would be creepy and edgy but what you get is a very soft core B-movie. I won't bother you by talking about the so called plot because there isn't much of one. Here's the overview. A guy knocks women out, takes pictures of them naked and then goes home...thats it. Oh yeah, he also likes to touch the womens necks and shoulders while they are knocked out. He is very careful not to actually touch the womens private areas because that would cross the line from being a bizarre sexual deviant to being just a sexual deviant. This movie is so bad i actually threw it away. Avoid at all cost!

5 out of 5 stars Alice Trashes On DVD.......2006-04-22

When I first got into Alice this concert (on VHS) was pretty much hard to find. I had heard the live tracks from this concert on Alices CLASSICKS album. On the inside jacket it said tracks 9-14 taken from Alice Trashes the world. At first, hearing these tracks on a cd I thought that Trashes the World was a live album cd. Anyway I am glad that this DVD is available and was so impressed by this mans talent and showmanship on the stage after seeing it. So colorful, so great to listen to. All the songs were good. DESPERADO was incredibly well done with the modern (1990) guitar style. Love him breaking out of the big trash can at the beginning; always has a new entrance. Such good quality and so reasonably priced. I'm so glad they released The Nightmare Returns on DVD as well.

4 out of 5 stars Trashes The World.......2006-01-03

Alice Cooper, after having poor album sales for years, released the album Trash. This album was his comeback. Alice changed his sound to 80s hair metal and released on the biggest and best albums of his 37 year career.

This DVD has all the songs from Trash, except "Hell Is Living Without You" and "Trash". It also includes his hits like "I'm Eighteen", "Schools Out", and "Billion Dollar Babies".

The preformance is very good, but features band members that would be there only for that tour.

There are two reasons I gave this 4 stars:
1. There are no bonus feature or commentary, just the concert
2. He ends the show with "Only My Heart Talkin'". (What was he thinking).

I recommend this to any Alice fan. The concert is superb.

4 out of 5 stars Great Live Performance.......2004-12-14

My favorite era of Alice was the late 80's and Early 90's, so I had to get this DVD for myself come hell or highwater.

I dont know if I have a faulty disk, or if it's actualy supposed to be in 1.0 sound. Meaning audio is only coming out of one speaker, i've played other DVD's in my machine to check, it's only this disc thats doing that.

Even tho I could not enjoy this in surround sound, it is quite a good performance, I gotta say, I expected to be let down by the songs not sounding any good live, but it quite suprised me how they actualy sounded quite like the original recordings, the backing vocals are not as strong as like on the TRASH album, but I thought they sounded pretty darn good actualy! Especialy on POISON, every live version I have heard prior to this performance on this DVD sounded horrible, but this one actualy sounds very good!

The stage show itself is not anywhere near as good as "Welcom To My Nightmare" there is not a lot of stage show, theatrics at all on this, there is the gillotine and nurses, staright jackets ect... but nothing spectacular, but that does not take anythign away from this great live show! I could possibly be wrong, but I'm pretty sure this is the show that the live tracks off "Alice Coooper Classics" are from. I'm 90% sure on that, so if you have heard that album, and liked what you hear, then this is the stuff!

There are no bonus features, no subtitles, no extras... there is just your main menu with song selection (Chapter index) and Play/Resume.

The set list is...

1. TRASH
2. BILLION DOLLAR BABIES
3. I'M EIGHTEEN
4. I'M YOUR GUN
5. DESPERADO
6. HOUSE OF FIRE
7. NO MORE, MR. NICE GUY
8. THIS MANIAC'S IN LOVE WITH YOU
9. STEVEN
10. WELCOME TO MY NIGHTMARE
11. BALLED OF DWIGHT FRY
12. GUTTER CATS VS THE JETS
13. ONLY WOMEN BLEED
14. I LOVE THE DEAD
15. POISON
16. MUSCLE OF LOVE
17. SPARK IN THE DARK
18. BED OF NAILS
19. SCHOOLS OUT
20. UNDER MY WHEELS
21. ONLY MY HEART TALKING (not live, it's audio of the actualy song played during the credits)

VOCALS: Alice Cooper
GUITARS: Al Pitrelli & Pete Freezen
BASS: T-Bone Caradonna
KEYBOARDS: Derek Sheriniann
DRUMS: Jonathan Mover

Almost the entire TRASH album is in the set list, except "why Trust You", "Hell Is Living Without You" and "Only My Heart Talking" but the songs that are on here all go well in the same set list, they sound terrific, and get better as the show rolls on... A lot of people where asking on web sites if Slash, Bon Jovi, Steven Tyler and Joe Perry where on this show? No, it wouldve been nice to see them, but no, they are not on the show, there are no guests at all, there is a female who comes on later in the show to add some pretty good backing vocals tho, she really lifts the sound of the vocals.

Even tho it seems to be in 1.0, and there is no bonus features, for it's price, i'm happy with it. If you like the TRASH album, you'll love this DVD, if you didnt like that album, you might wanna check it out for the songs that are performed that havent been brought out on any DVD yet... they do sound great, but they are played in the metal/hard rock style of the trash album!

UPDATE: It turned out my speakers where faulty, it is in 2.0 sound, might even be 3.0... i'm really not sure, but 2 channels work and it sounds awsome!! Just wish it was louder!

5 out of 5 stars awesome DVD!.......2004-11-25

Great concert, great transfur and a great performance by the king of shock rock!! A must have im glad it's finally on DVD

Independent producer and author John Pierson (Spike, Mike, Slackers and Dykes) defines the 1970s American indie scene as "the three Johns: John Cassavetes, John Sayles, and John Waters." John Waters, Baltimore's king of sleaze, in such classy company? According to Pierson in this 1998 documentary, Waters had an even more profound impact on American cinema. Director Steve Yeager, a Waters intimate for decades (he plays a bit part in Pink Flamingos), gathers the surviving members of his stock company for a portrait of the director, from backyard puppet show impresario to the transgressive underground and exploitation director who grossed out America in the 1970s. A generous array of film clips is enriched with archival interviews with Divine, David Lochary, and Edith Massey, and a chorus of film critics and underground and independent directors.

Fully half of the film chronicles the making of Pink Flamingos, with actual behind-the-scenes footage from the shoot (including the most priceless direction ever captured on film: "David, act some more"). A plentiful portion pays tribute to Divine ("the Godzilla of drag queens"), whom Waters calls "my Elizabeth Taylor." The only real disappointment in this rich and highly entertaining documentary is that it ends with Flamingos, as if his entire career since is a mere coda to this cultural touchstone. But this portrait is so rich and detailed that it's a forgivable directorial choice. --Sean Axmaker

5 out of 5 stars The Story Behind The Most Bizzare But Undeniably Influential Director Of All Time!!.......2007-09-03

This is a great documentary DVD for fans of the over-the-top
cult director John Waters! I didn't discover his movies until
the early 80's when I was bored with whatever selection
of VHS that the video store had that week and came across a
title called "Female Trouble" with an interesting-looking
group of characters on the cover! I took it home, popped it in
and was shocked, horrified and laughing uncontrollably throughout!
It was everything that your mother tried to protect you from,
your clergy warned you about, and it tickled my darkest funny bone
and need for the new & exciting in a way nothing had before!
I was transported past the shotty sets and cinematography
and drawn in by "Dawn Davenport", played masterfully by the
one and only late-great DIVINE, a 300-pound drag queen that was
doing her own kamikaze anti-drag/drag thing in her unique
larger-than-life way, as well as the rest of the purient
sicko cast of zanies like Mink Stole, the great-late Edith Massey,
    etc. etc.!!--I was forever changed!
I went out the next day and rented the infamous but crucial
"Pink Flamingos", "Desperate Living", "Polyester" and even
"Lust In The Dust", which was not a John Waters vehicle,
but was just as hysterical anywayz!
This is a very in-depth back story behind John Waters,
DIVINE, and his cast of zanies that is definitive!--
    I enjoyed it immensely!

5 out of 5 stars The "Brain" behind the "Beauty!".......2007-04-14

All freaks and weird people have experienced, by now, the absolute beauty and glamor if the 300 lb monstrosity, "Divine!" But what kind of Frankenstein could have created "HIr?" This little movie provides the answer!

Of course, the answer is: the deliciously hillarious perverted mind of John Waters! William S. Burroughs coined him as "The Pope Of Trash!" Yet Waters was raised normally in an upper class Baltimore family! Is it his fault that he became as a child obsessed with car accidents, trials of murderers and sleasy "B" movies? How could such environmental influences create the most tastefully outrageous antics depicted in his earlier films? This movie provides the answer!

There is a difference between mere shocking bad taste and bad taste that is so good that it generates a cult following! Here we see the delicious Divine give interviews that are as shocking as HIr films! We see the deliciously ugly Edith Massey glory in her new roles of glamor and stardom in John's movies. We see the hours and hours of rehearsals that Divine and the Dreamlanders did in front of the perfectionist Waters' cameras. There was a lot of work and planning that went on in even the most notorious scene of "Pink Flamingos:" the infamous Dog-Spoor scene!

John Waters.... we all await the day that you can once again release the tiger in you that created your early works! We all are getting too old to be "pattycaked" by your newer works! SHOCK US AGAIN!

5 out of 5 stars Behind the Greatest Movie Ever Made.......2006-10-30

If your mind withstood "Pink Flamingoes", this is the movie for you. More than you ever wanted to know about John Waters and Divine (Peace Be Unto Him/Her).

5 out of 5 stars DIVINE Trash is another mans treasure.......2005-10-02

This is a gr8 documentary on John Waters & DIVINE. Very informative & well put together. Talks about how John got his start in his insane flicks, has a mini interview with Edith Massey, behind the scenes footage & of course this DVD would not be complete without "DIVINE". DIVINE Trash is simply the best garbage i've seen in years. Loaded with unseen video footage & surprises. DIVINE Trash is a MUST 4 any Waters/DIVINE fan. Check it out, U won't regret it!! Schroeder (DJ WACK "O") (ORBITAL TRAXX RECORDS & Cult Movies Magazine).

5 out of 5 stars Yeager is genius.......2005-06-29

I am a growing film maker, and currently belong to a film session, that is directed by this film's director, Mr. Steve Yeager, and he is a good friend of mine. All I'd like to say is that this movie is a great documentary, and if you havent seen it yet, i highly consider it. Steve also mentioned to me that it won "best documentary" in 1998 for the Maryland Film Fest. Pretty impressive! I also think that it is a great film that basically tells the story of the Baltimore-native film maker, John Waters. It includes so great early footage when John's film making was beginning to spark. Interviews with Water's parents, Steve Buschemi, and many more. Mr yeager is a great man, and this documentary is a great film.

    2 out of 5 stars Overrated.......2007-07-30

The other nuns, however, are jealous and angry, they want Susanna for themselves, and accuse her of being possessed by the Devil.

    1 out of 5 stars Pretty Disappointing.......2007-07-15

I bought this based on Joe D'Amato making "Images in a Convent" which has to be the HOTTEST movie ever made. "Convent of Sinners" completely misses the mark. It starts off on the wrong foot with a stepfather raping his daughter and that is why she ends up in the convent. (I don't get it either.) She wants to leave, but they won't let her because she is possessed by the devil. (I don't get it either.) It tries to appeal to Catholics, but there is too much nudity and implied sex for that, and shows priests lying to save their careers and nuns conspiring. It tries to appeal to porn addicts, but there is too much history and religious overtones to satisfy us. The one good scene of a group bath is brought down by a ranting Mother Superior. I keep thinking I got the wrong movie. If you're still watching at the end this is about some real person who is not a Saint yet. (I don't get it either) I wish I had not got this one. Don't waste your time or money on this one. It's such a disappointment after Images in a Convent.

2 out of 5 stars Fast forward review.......2006-07-13

A proper wic (women in convent) flick should at least contain lots of nudity of course, plenty of nun-to-nun action, flagellation to drive those bad stains on the soul away, and then something extra, maybe a nice inquisition scene, with a nubile nun stretched on the rack while some robed dude sits at a bench with a feather pen taking down her confession. Oh yes, and I haven't met a nun yet that didn't enjoy taking a long soapy bath with another nun, and maybe helping each other out in cleaning those hard to get places. And since the nuns can hardly walk around in skimpy clothes like in a wip (women in prison) movie, there needs to be a minimum of plot so they can dispose of those bulky penguin costumes as frequently as possible to keep the NTRL factor up (nudity to total running length).

So how does this awful (in any other context) film stack up? Well, it starts with a bang, an R rated semi-rape with carpet grabbing, and then swings right into a nude convent entry scene of the "victim", who's apparently been told, "get thee to a nunnery", I guess, I had the sound off. Can't say much for the underwear, I'd have preferred some thorns, but you can't have everything.

A wasted putting the new girl to bed scene follows, a little self-examination in the hall, and then we're right into a bathing scene, but hey! It's a dude, that's not right. Never mind, because for some reason two young topless nuns get their backs striped, and it's not bad, but could have been more graphic. Then we get a proper bathing scene, although the darn nun hood she's wearing kinda spoils it if you ask me. Well, let's go to bed, eh? Only, another lez scene is wasted in the young girl's room, no fair.

A scene of penguin kissing follows - is it just me, or would you prefer nun lez scenes to have less clothes? - but it's wasted when one of the lezzer nuns gets sick, or something. Darn it, that's three wasted opportunities for action. We get a self-flagellation scene, but it's kinda short and not graphic enough (at least it's mono topless), and then one of the nuns (with the darn hoods it's hard to tell which one) cops a self-feel while sniffing a stable boy's clothes, but even though he's in the next room, another sex opportunity is let go.

Finally we get a really proper multi-nun bathing scene, fine except for those darn hoods, don't they ever wash their hair? Must get kind of greasy under there. Another bedroom lez scene comes up short, a little foaming at the mouth follows (no, I don't know why) and another self-flaggelation scene that's also too short and doesn't show the back, that's breaking the rules in my book.

A decent multi-nun whipping scene follows, but again no back shots, and then . . . nobody expects the Spanish inquisition! Some church dudes show up and let the torture begin. They inject her with holy water, somewhere down there, and . . . hey, where's the confession? There's a brief nude apre-lez scene, also not fair, and then some trial plot, wherein the young nun takes off her clothes, flops on the ground in front of the judges and it ends! Dang, no marshmallow roast.

They should re-title this film "Interruptus", the whole thing is a series of lost opportunites. All the basic wic ingredients were there, and it failed miserably to take advantage of them. The best I can come up with is three sleaze stars for nudity, abuse and lezzing, with one redacted in revenge for ending up with blue stones. In spite of the multiple sleaze scenes, it just never kept you interested long enough. It's also kind of expensive for what you get, not sure I can recommend it at all.

    Description

An icon of the Andy Warhol Factory and one of the most famous figures of the late 1960s and 1970s, Joe Dallesandro shot to fame in this landmark trilogy of underground filmmaking from acclaimed director Paul Morrissey. Raw, charismatic, and unabashed, his performances anchor these unflinching and often hilarious looks at life on the streets where hustling, conning, shooting up, loving, and bickering make up every memorable day.

In Flesh, Joe stars as a dim and sweet-natured hustler who journeys from one client to the next in a quirky odyssey that goes from the clutches of an amorous artist to a pair of beauties including a young Patti D'Arbanville.

In Trash, Joe struggles to provide a living for his demanding girlfriend (Warhol favorite Holly Woodlawn), crossing back and forth between the gutter and the high life in a quest for happiness.

Then Joe hits Los Angeles as an unemployed former child star in Heat, a fast and funny look at fleeting fame where an affair with fallen star Sylvia Miles (Midnight Cowboy) results in hilarious complications.

Now restored and remastered with all-new extras, these masterworks of true independent cinema burn brighter than ever in these sensational new special editions, with an exclusive fourth bonus disc of additional extras!

Paul Morrissey was Andy Warhol's resident in house filmmaker and prime mover on his non art related activities, as The Vevet Underground's John Cale said "Paul was the muscle-he made things happen.." His films were the most successful to appear under the Warhol moniker and launched Joe Dellasandro as an international sex symbol and pop culture icon.

The doco 'Factory Days' is a fascinating look back at Morrissey's time with Warhol. It's full of never before seen photo's and entertaining anecdotes and info. Much has been said of the filmmakers bitterness and distancing of himself from Warhol over the years, and it's hinted at in the by the cumugeonly New Yorker's narration, But it's still a must see for Warhol fans.

    5 out of 5 stars great.......2007-05-12

For a fan of the Factory-era works of the artists of the Warhol Underground this is a great item. The movies all speak for themselves and to Paul Morrissey's avant-garde(for its time) film-making. They also speak to Joe Dallesandro's talent for getting points across with little dialogue and mostly action.

5 out of 5 stars Classic Paul Morrissey.......2007-04-04

These films are classics of the Paul Morrissey/Andy Warhol era. A great set. Get them before they go out of print again!

1 out of 5 stars Let the buyer beware.......2007-03-09

Perhaps I should have done some research before I bought the 4 disc set, but I was surprised to find these to be so disappointing. I had read Holly Woodlawn's book, "A Low Life in High Heels", and thought I would get more of a feel for all of the book's hype about Paul Morrissey and Andy Warhol and the movies they made. I just didn't know what I was getting. I wasn't misled by anyone. I suppose if you are a cult fan of PM & AW, you should have these for your collection. I'll make you a really good deal.

    Customer Reviews:

4 out of 5 stars I found Sean Young's commentary track very refreshing...and I liked the movie too........2007-07-24

I'd give the movie 3 stars on it's own, but due to the refreshing criticism by both Sean Young and the writer/director on the single commentary track, I'm adding an extra star to the overall grade.

This movie suffers from absolutely awful cinematography (Dir. of Photog.'s first film). Although, because this is a movie about poor white trash, it is almost fitting. Regardless, I still enjoyed the movie right from the very beginning.

However, to help get you into the right mood to watch this movie, I would suggest that you listen to a bit of the Sean Young and writer/director's commentary track, before you begin watching, so that you can hear how relaxed and frank the two of them are. They are having fun eating and drinking while they do the commentary (eventually, you hear bottles being opened, etc.). In less than a minute you should be relaxed, so just jump back to the beginning of the movie and watch it without the commentary (the first time).

In the commentary track, both the director and Sean Young quite often comment on the bad lighting and low budget they had to put up with, and I was shocked to hear Sean Young talk about how Jason London didn't get along with her, and how he basically berated her on the set. She also criticized the cinematographer (his first film) and the director, in a friendly, yet, educational way. I found it to be both entertaining and informative.

One great side effect about having a low budget, is that you often have just one take to do most of the scenes. This allows for the inclusion of many scenes that include actor errors or mishaps that would normally be edited out or reshot. One such great scene occurs when Jaime Pressly is trashing a hospital room. Shortly after she kicks a small television across the room, she loses her balance after bumping into a table, slips, and then takes a hard fall. Without missing a beat, she gets up immediately and continues on with the scene. Both Sean and the director get a nice laugh out of it, on the commentary track.

I also believe that if this Dvd was handed out for free, to 100 random people in a major city, 80 of them would probably stop watching it after 20 minutes or less. Ten of them would just fast forward scan to see all of Jaimie Pressly's scenes, and the final ten people would enjoy it as much as the majority of the Amazon reviewers here seem to.

I think the low budget look to the movie would turn most people off. It also takes awhile until the entertaining William Devane or Jaime Pressly appear (no, Jaime is never naked-a bikini is as close as she gets). Also, surprisingly, there's no nudity at all in the film- just one very partial side breast of a girl is quickly shown, but nothing else I remember.

So, even though there's probably a 60%-80% chance you won't want to watch the whole movie, or even bother listening to the commentary track, I would still suggest that you at least rent it, to see if it becomes one of your guilty pleasures. It's certainly one of mine.

Like one of the menu choices on the Dvd states..."Play the Damn Movie".

See ya at the trailer park!

    5 out of 5 stars =] *****.......2006-06-30

Michael Addis once again presents the audience with entertainment like no other. PWT, finally a dvd worth buying. The storyline is riveting, unlike most of the trash that floods your local Blockbuster. Do yourself a favor, don't listen to these tools who criticized it like they've never left their mothers basement. They obviously don't know what they're talking about!... This movie f-ing rocks, so check out this movie, yeah. It's worth it. =]

    4 out of 5 stars Painfully Funny.......2005-09-23

Saw this once on video and couldn't wait to buy the DVD. It's the kind of comedy like the work of Christopher Guest where the characters seem painfully real. I recommend this to anyone who appreciates off-the-wall slightly depraved humor.

4 out of 5 stars Don't Kick This 'Trash' to the Curb..........2004-11-22

Once upon a time in a trailer park to close to say lived two boys who are bored and decide to score some 'Near Beer" from the local quickie mart. This turns bad and the two are arrested. They meet the grandfather attorney who gets them off.. for a price. A chain reaction of hillarity insues. Sean Young is effective as the white trash mother who will do anything to make sure her son gets into college, and doesn't have to live in a trailer the rest of his life. Not as stupid as it appears to be. The screenplay is smart, even with such lines as "You're hot as doughnut grease, babe." That line is a gem. Bound to be a redneck classic, Jeff Foxworthy would be proud. The only thing missing was Jerry Springer.

Once, when I watched this film with my best friend, we rewound the same scene over and over again, laughing harder and harder each time!!!
