bad kids.......2007-08-24
just glad my kids never acted this way but is a very good movie for whold family
Funniest movie from my childhood.......2007-08-05
This movie brought back so many memories. I love it. I Have waited for ever for this to come on DVD and its packed with part 2 as well!!!! Only downside they only have Full screen if you care about it, I didn't! Recommend this to everyone. I don't know how I never noticed though, if you have kids pre-screen the movie. There is a decent amount of cursing and foul language in it, I'm 22 so I don't care but I wouldn't let kids under 13 watch this.
Problem Child Tantrum Pack.......2007-07-31
this movie is the frickin funny you have to have it in your dvd libery
Very funny!!.......2007-07-16
My favortie scene in the series of films is when the little kid drives the mini-van into Big Ben Healey's Sporting Goods Store hahaha. That was great. The little baby didn't even care that he trashed the place. Jack Tripper was good too. Michael Richards was pathetic in the first movie. He should go to jail permanently for that performance.
Funny movie...........2007-05-14
This is a good pack to get if you have boys aged 10+.
I'm sure girls may enjoy it, too, but my boys laugh alot when
they see these movies!

Ice Cube has turned his frown upside down with the family-friendly screwball road movie Are We There Yet? We know the actor/rapper can use his trademark scowl to be funny (the Friday and Barbershop series), or to be mean (Boyz in the Hood)--but can he use it to melt kids' hearts? That's the question Are We There Yet? answers with a resounding yes for youngsters in the audience (which will be the lions' share), but it'll probably be an emphatic shrug for the grownups. The contrived plot has Cube playing a wannabe-player (as in ladies' man) and ex-player (as in washed-up minor league baseball star) who now owns a sports memorabilia business. His partner, played by Jay Mohr is just a throwaway, as is the talented Nia Long, the single mom that Cube sets his blinged-out sights on. To try to get in her good graces, he offers to transport her two bratty kids in his pride-and-joy Lincoln Navigator for a joy ride to a distant city where she's attending an emergency business meeting so they can have a New Year's Eve celebration together. This kiddies version of Road Trip and Planes, Trains and Automobiles has its cute moments, but plenty more gross-out moments which will please the kids no end, especially as the Navigator gets more and more trashed. Suffice it to say they all learn about each others' good sides and hearts are suitably melted all around--until after the credits roll, then you'll probably forget about the whole thing.--Ted Fry

Funny and Family-Friendly, But Nothing Special.......2007-09-10
Nick Persons (Ice Cube) is a swinging bachelor that lives in Portland, Oregon. He runs a successful and highly profitable sports hobby shop. One day Nick sees a beautiful woman that he almost immediately falls for. Her name is Suzanne Kingston (Nia Long) and she has all the characteristics of a mate that Nick has been looking for. However, Nick soon learns that Suzanne is divorced and has two children. Nick is terrified of children, but he likes Suzanne and is determined to make their relationship work. The kids, daughter Lindsey (Aleisha Allen) and Kevin (Philip Daniel Bolden), still desperately want their parents to get back together and have done everything in their power to prevent their mom from having a successful relationship with anyone else. Even though Nick is nicer and more loveable than some of the other prospects, he is NOT an exception to the kids' dislike and they use their full measure of ingenuity to get rid of him. But it doesn't work because Nick has fallen for Suzanne and vice versa. Then Suzanne is forced to stay in Vancouver for New Years and asks Nick to bring her the kids so they can be together for the holiday. The journey becomes a test for the relationship between Nick and Suzanne as well as the turning point between Nick and Lindsey and Kevin.
Other than being set in the beautiful Pacific Northwest, ARE WE THERE YET? is a highly derivative film and doesn't really offer anything new to the family road trip subgenre. There are scenes in the movie that are slightly altered, but have been used before in such films as NATIONAL LAMPOON'S FAMILY VACATION, HOME ALONE, and TOMMY BOY. Also, it takes awhile for the audience to feel empathetic towards Lindsey and Kevin and the abuse they pour on Nick. For half of the movie, the children seem completely selfish, uncaring, and downright cruel.
Still, even with a fairly weak and derivative script and a couple of self-centered kids, ARE WE THERE YET? works as a family movie. The movie only has some comical violence, hardly any foul language, and contains an important message about the importance of family, sticking together, and the power of unconditional love. It may not be a great movie, but ARE WE THERE YET? is a decent one that children and their parents can safely enjoy watching together.
A Very Good Funny Family Movie.......2007-08-12
I absolutely loved this movie. I kind of had my doubts when I saw Ice Cube's name because I didn't know if it would be okay for family viewing, but after watching this DVD I must say I was pleasantly surprised. It's a DVD that I will watch over and over. Ice Cube's character, Nick becomes infatuated with Nia Long's character, and is disappointed to learn that she has two kids. The little girl is especially sassy, and neither of the children trust Nick who has the task of driving them across the country during the Christmas holidays. The children put Nick through hell, and try to run him away from their mother.
All in all the movie ends well, and they all learn to like each other.
lacked something.......2007-08-01
like depth! The story line was great. A single guy doing a favor for a female he wants to get to know better. The favor turns out to be more than he bargined for. This is not a family movie. Too bad!
It's an okay movie.......2007-05-12
Not a bad movie. Not a great movie, but not bad either.
Not What I Expected.......2007-05-07
We saw the move, "Are We There Yet?" in the theater and really enjoyed it, so we decided to purchase this DVD. It would be a good movie for kids if not for the swearing and bad attitudes of the children in the movie. We probabbly will not watch the DVD again (at least not with kids).

Autobiographical movies rarely get more truthfully moving than Antwone Fisher. The title is also the name of this fine drama's first-time screenwriter, a former Navy seaman who was working as a film-studio security guard when his life-inspired script was developed as Denzel Washington's directorial debut. This Hollywood dream gets better: unbeknownst to the filmmakers, Derek Luke--a newcomer who won the title role over a throng of famous contenders--was also a friend of Fisher's, and the whole film seems blessed by this fortunate coincidence. Washington's sharp instincts as an actor serve him well, as both a subtle-handed director and Luke's costar playing Jerome Davenport, a Navy psychologist assigned to assess Fisher's chronic violent temper. Their therapy sessions prove mutually beneficial, as this touching true story addresses painful memories, broken desires, and heartfelt reunions without resorting to a contrived happy ending. Fisher's good life is worth celebrating, and Washington brings a delicate touch to the party. --Jeff Shannon

Forgiveness.......2007-09-07
"Regard without ill will despite an offense." That's Webster's definition of forgiveness. -Denzel Washington as Jerome Davenport
One of my all-time favorites. It never gets old. You just need to watch it. Either you'll like it or you won't.
Powerful Story.......2007-09-07
Emotionally charged. Story of a troubled young man early in a Naval Career and the Counselor (Denzel)who sees potential in him and gives his all to help him. This is a journey through a tough life. Great performances by all. Surprising ending, that will bring more than a few tears to your eyes.
A deeply moving experience that captivates as well as tames the heart..........2007-06-22
Derek Luke is so brilliant in his breakout role as troubled Navy-man Antwone Fisher that I'm stunned, utterly stunned at his Oscar omission. Then again, it was a strong year for leading actors and the veterans really clogged up the race, but still, you can't watch this film without embracing his screen presence and acting bravado. He embellishes every scene with the right amount of truth, sincerity and emotion and commands his scenes, stealing thunder from co-star and first time director Denzel Washington who is known for his ability to steal scenes as it were. Here though, Denzel his own acted by his young co-star and that, my friends, is a blessing to watch.
Written by the real life Antwone Fisher, this biopic tells the struggles Antwone had within the Navy. A man prone to violence and anger he's finally sent to see Jerome Davenport, a Navy psychologist played by Washington. At first Antwone is reluctant to entertain the idea of seeing a shrink but he soon begins to warm to the idea, and its here that his character starts to unravel and his life begins to make sense. The therapy sessions are done tastefully and prove engaging and informative. As some have mentioned, they do come across Hollywoodized if you so chose to label, but they are still heartwarming and sincere.
The power this movie has is as strong as its title character, and as Luke manages to unravel his character before our very eyes we are brought into his life and into his very plight. As past abuse comes to the surface, physical, mental and sexual, we begin to understand his bursts of anger, his flurries of discontent and his utter lack of trust. The events surrounding his childhood, from abandonment to betrayal, as well as those surrounding his early adulthood, like the death of a close friend, all help mold the man sitting before Davenport, but with a sound mind and patience he is able to help Fisher become a stronger and overall better man for it.
Washington makes a great first impression in the director's seat, delicately handling the material, and while some scenes may be hard to witness and the events themselves are enough to bring forth tears, Washington elegantly maneuvers our thoughts to the positive amidst the negative. Our tear ducts will be set on overdrive, but they will be happy tears cried for the boy who finally becomes the man and is welcomed back home, to the real home he's only seen in his dreams. In fact, I'm tempted to say that I prefer Washington behind the camera as apposed to in front of it, but then again he's always been give or take for me.
Alongside Washington there is another supporting performance that shines, and that is of young Joy Bryant who plays Antwone's love interest. Now while her role in the film is not the longest she has one of the most powerful, that of the supportive woman who truly teaches Antwone how to love again, how to trust and how to put others before himself. It's another great breakthrough performance that only adds more reasons to see this film.
Fisher's life was hard to get through but in the end he found something that all of us are looking for, contentment and loyalty not with others but with himself. He made such emotional growth in his lifetime and while he was only stunted by the ones closest to him, he was able to rise above the pain and the suffering to reveal the real person of the heart, the man that he always knew he needed to be. Thanks in large part to Derek Luke's commanding performance Antwone Fisher becomes more than just a character but he becomes a real person to the audience, a friend, a relative, a loved one and so when we watch him finally embrace his dreams our cheeks are red and soar and wet with this tears of admiration.
Powerful story about surviving child abuse, abandonment and finding one's self........2007-04-30
Nuff said. Check it out!

great.......2007-04-02
This is a great movie for any teen and parent to watch because it deals with all related problems teens today deal with! =]
"She's Too Young" review.......2007-04-01
I ordered this video to show to my 7th graders. We were covering the unit on STD's and it was perfect for them to see the reality. There were some scenes I blocked out but I think a letter home prior would be fine to use. I had my students write out a little blurb about their opinions on the movie and they thought it was good!
The price of ignorance.......2006-07-06
This movie once again shows that ignorance can hurt those we are trying to potrect the most. This sad story of a girl ignorance about sexual acts and their consequences are shown in this movie with insight and caring, and I think with the desired to teach our teens to be more respectful of their bodies and what their careless behavior might bring into their lives. My daughter recommends this movie with great enthusiasm.
Great movie for Pre-teens!.......2006-06-26
This movie is really good for the pre-teen who is struggling to make the right choices. I thought this movie was great! Im hearing that now girls as young as 8 are having oral sex because they want to be popular/cool and I like this movie because it shows the consequences of doing the wrong thing just to be popular. Every young girl needs to see this one!
Great...........2006-03-13
This was really a good movie dealing with what many teens go through... pressure. A good girl gets into this world... by the most popular guy at her school.. Nick Hartman. He pressures her but to her knowledge he's been with many other girls. Including her two friends which includes Miriam Mcdondlad which stars on the hit tv show Degrassi.[..]. All of the girls that were with Nick have it but does this good little girl Hannah have it as well? I thought it was really great becuase it deals what teens go through. Pressure, sex, popularity, and trying to fit in. This was really great so buy it.

Description
Now on DVD the riveting miniseries that shocked the world and broke our hearts! Based on Andrew Morton's bestselling book, the film traces Diana's transformation from shy young girl to public icon and sophisticated princess whose fairy tale marriage to Prince Charles soon turned into a nightmare well hidden outside the walls of Buckingham Palace. Until the book and this film revealed Diana's side of the story: her marital troubles, her loneliness inside the royal family, her suicide attempts and her struggles with bulimia. With this critically acclaimed film, the world reached a new understanding of this complex, fascinating woman.
Customer Reviews:
great story - bad actress.......2006-02-08
The woman they picked to play the role was all wrong, I lived in England for most of Diana's royal life and this woman did not capture Diana, her hair was (I won't use the word), her demeanor was false and she was absolutely the worst 'Diana' I have ever seen, but then again, maybe I am biased >>>>>> could anyone ever really capture the truly delightful spirit that was Diana, Princess of Wales? She was a magical woman, that will FOREVER be young, beautiful inside & out and missed so dearly.
Diana death was so unexpected and tragic (& TOO MANY UNEXPLAINED DETAILS FOR MY GUT FEELINGS; STILL TO DATE) - this movie seemed to try to cash-in on her memory, without much thought of trying to truly match Diana's true essence & spirit and more thought of which 'B' actress they could get to 'fill' the role & how cheap she would work for!
To anyone who 'knows' anything about Diana, the Patron of so many charities, the woman, the mother - the misunderstood; will see this movie is a JOKE - Just another attempt to make money from her memory (without being willing to pay a 'A' actress to play the part (more money for the film maker I guess)!
Well-Rounded Portrait of Princess Diana.......2005-12-05
This is an excellent movie, depicting all facets of Princess Diana, good and bad. The actors do an excellent job. The movie starts with a significant event in young Diana's life, (her mother leaving), then moves on to her years as a Sloane Ranger, then to the courtship between her and the prince, the wedding, and problems she endured during her marriage. It goes up to the point where she and Charles decide to live in separate residences (around 1992 or so.)
The actress portraying the Queen bears an uncanny likeness to Her Majesty. The only thing that I disliked was the way the hair was styled on Serena Scott Thomas, who portrays Princess Diana. Di was known for her famous feathered haircut during her courtship and wedding; it was copied a lot, especially in Great Britain. Ms. Thomas looks like she is wearing a big, poufy wig. The hair does not at all resemble the way the Princess wore hers.
Other than this hair gaffe, I thought this film was well-done. I recommend it highly.

Fragmentation and reconstruction!.......2007-08-30
The main virtues of this film reside in the solidity of its script, superb edition and the formidable cast. The story is very simple; a mid-class family, a bored couple and their two sons, she is teenager at the eve of her 18 and he is frustrated adolescent, a loser who at the first glance is incapable to establish a normal relationship , on the other hand she is a glamorous and alluring girl, in search of her bliss, to be accepted and being acclaimed due her dancing abilities.
This couple is experiencing a serious conflict of mutual interests that surmount by far, a simple issue of lack of communication, he is successful executive, who never could finish his pretended project, a book that has not ben ended due random barriers, here and there, she is a very sensitive and talented human being, a frustrated actress , now focused into the formation of her children.
But soon, this fragile equilibrium will be catalyzed when a sudden encounter with a fevered love of the past ignites and accelerates the boiling point in this family.
The work of direction is impeccable, and the struggling atmosphere in which these personages exist, will push them to find out a reencounter with each one of them when an unexpected accident happens.
Laura Morante is terrific in her role (do you remember her as the dance teacher in dancing upstairs of John Malkovioch?) and Monica Belluci gives a fine performance (although her alluring and spelling beauty obligates us to refocus ourselves with her acting).
The secondary dramatic lines are handled with secure hand, but told with such conviction that we leave the hall with a bitter taste in our memories , in spite of the pleasant finale.
A must-see.
worst movie made by italian.......2007-05-13
Save your money and don't even think to purchase this movie. This is one of the worst movies I've ever seen. Take my words.
A good italian wine.......2005-11-05
... and as such an acceptable entertainment, but the after-taste is missing. The story tries to depict a normal family of four, living each its own separate life and pursuing their own individual dreams. The tension between their own routines and realities and what they would like to be makes them explode, one by one, and hit the wall, to come back again to reality and family unity at the end.
Some sort of fairy tale, actors and scenography are very good, emotions are openly ventilated - as in any good italian movie worth its name -, and a lot of scenes have real credibility.
But when the film is over, without the emotions, the scenography, the great looks of Valentina and the uncertain end of each of the four little stories, very little is left, and the whole exercise shows its superficiality. Just a good italian wine ...
Looking For Sountrack.......2005-09-18
Can anyone tell me where I can get a soundtrack of the Italian film: Remember Me, My Love. Please respond.
Simple, honest and beautiful movie.......2005-06-20
It could be that the the bottle of Pinot that I had along with the movie that me biased, but I don't think so.
Keeping up with the best traditions of Italian cinema, this movie engrosses the viewer with its simple, yet very realistic dialog, characters and plot.
Through the scenes we experience the characters longing for the very basic human happiness. Each of them, is different and seeks a happiness of different form. But ultimately, they all are looking for the same thing.

Brainy Baby - Laugh & Learn.......2007-02-22
I gave this 4 stars simply because it's a Brainy Baby DVD and I expect to love it as much as I do others when my son gets a little older. My 13mos old son absolutely loves and is oddly mesmorized by the Brainy Baby - Right Brain, but this one he didn't seem to be too interested in after about 10 minutes. I still love the Brainy Baby line and will try him again with it when he is a few months older.
My girls love it!.......2006-12-29
I love the Brainy Baby series. My girls really love it to. This is a very fun one that shows all types of emotions. My girls are just 13 months, so I am sure they don't really know what is going on, but it does keep their attention and they do enjoy it. We also own Left Brain and it keeps their attention as well. I may not fully understand what they love about it so much, but I love the fact that they are learning while having a good time.
A Must Have To Your Child's DVD Collection!!.......2006-12-29
My child is 14 months and has been watching this for a few days. Now this is her absolute favorite! She laughs, dances, and repeats the many words and objects displayed throughout the show.
She has Brainy Baby Left and Right Brain, English, Art, and a few Baby Einstein DVDs, but this has truly kept her attention. Her favorite part is the underwater adventure with all the colorful fish and the silly faces the children make.
I always interact with her when she watches these shows and we both have lots of fun with this one! I more than satisfied with this one and look forward to purchasing more Brainy Baby DVDs.
Overtly educational.......2005-08-17
Our daughter (20 months) will sit and watch it, but she doesn't enjoy it as much as the Baby Einstein DVD's. It is more overtly educational than BE, so she may enjoy more when she is a little older and she understands a little more.
BEST EDUCATIONAL MOVIE... A+++++.......2005-07-20
I started putting the Laugh & Learn movie when my son was 20 months old. I would even put the movie in the car DVD when we would go out for drives or road trips. It caught his attention immediately. He would repeat everything they would say, whether it was the alphabet, numbers, colors and even the shapes/opposites. He started singing his alphabet as of 21 months and he just gets better and better. He is now 24 months and he still loves this movie. It is much more educational than the Baby Einstein series. The best movie yet.

From Hell.......2007-08-20
This film looks at the McMartin trial of the 1980s from the point of view of one afflicted family and assumes that the children were telling the truth. Although the names have been changed to protect the "innocent" this movie uses so much of what those trials were about. Seen in this light the movie is more than a horror story because it does not bring into account the interrogations of the children by Kee McFarlane. There is a therapist mentioned numerous times in this movie but his storyline only implies to the fact that Kee McFarlane had planted false memories into the minds of the children, essentially brain-washing them into believing the McMartins had commited various child-abuse crimes. Where the actual horror of this movie comes in is the descriptions of the abuse taking place at the preschool.
After fleeing justice two of the young teachers actually manage to set up residence in another community and attempt to continue forcing their sickness on children.
From this point of view, if you believe the children, the movie is angering because it tells to much of the horrific allegations brought against the McMartins.
Since this movie is a fictionalized account of the so-called "witch-hunts" of the 1980s I would not take much of this as the truth about the McMartin trial.
However as an account of the allegations of that era and the power these types of allegations wield due nothing more to than rumor it is a horror story of a justice system no longer in control of itself.
This movie rules........2007-04-21
This is best Lifetime movie ever made. Satanism? Check. Child abuse? Roger that. Animal sacrifice? You bet. Overprotective, but semi-abusive parents? You know it.
I have been waiting for this movie to hit DVD for 6 years. This is perhaps the single greatest piece of television camp that has ever been produced. If you want an afternoon on pure television schlock, you MUST get this movie TODAY.
P.S. Hi christine! Don't worry, your copy is in the mail.
One of the most important movies of our time.......2007-04-12
This is one of the most important movies of our time, and it was very difficult for me to get my hands on - in spite of the affordable price today. I had to wait a long time for it to come out on DVD.
For those who have ever heard of the McMartin pre-school case and/or the movie "Indictment" based on same, this movie is also based on McMartin but not as if it were a hoax - which it was not. The preschool has another name, but the general facts of the case are all present. This movie was put out in 1989 and pretty much disappeared after that. I caught it once on the Lifetime channel and went looking all over the Internet for it, including the Lifetime channel itself. No dice.
I'm thrilled to have it today. If this topic interests you at all, this is a movie to have in your collection.Indictment - The McMartin Trial

Description
Denzel Washington makes his triumphant directorial debut and Derek Luke shines in his first big-screen role in "one of the most touching, heartwarming films of the year." (Jeffrey Lyons, WNBC-TV) Inspired by the true life experiences of its title character, Antwone Fisher tells the dramatic story of a troubled sailer (Luke) who is ordered to see a naval psychiatrist (Washington) about his volatile temper. Little does he know that his first step into the doctor's office will lead him on a remarkable emotional journey to confront his painful past--and connect with the family he never knew.

Denzel & me........2007-02-08
My oldest boy Bobby bought me thjis movie. we call him Bubby but he's a nice boy anyway.I wanted this dvd for ages and was very glad to get it, its all about this boy Antowne Fisher. He's in the military andyou can tell right away that this poor boy has been thru a lotta stuff. Poor kid. he starts working with that dreamy Denzel and i think id go see a doctor if it was Denzel to! Denzel really helps this boy Antwone and the ending is all sad but gave me a hopeful kinda feeling to.This movie is GOOD y'all! if you watch it your gonna cry and cray!

The film was/is good but "splicey". I was a bit disappointed but considering the age of the movie I suppose it can't be expected to be up to par with today's movies on DVD. The music is excellent and worth the price of the DVD but the audio could have been just a little bit better.
