its a really good video if you want to learn you need to watch this

4 out of 5 stars Great Detail but must see it over and over again........2007-06-27

This was a great video for a novice or wanna be drifter (you know who you are..lol), I have been drifting for fun at courses for some time and this video did not teach me much but it did help me tune my techniuqe a little better and to be smoother with my drifts, great info about under powered cars and balance transfer, I feel that his drifts are much easier because of the downhill momentum and what looks like a humid and moist track, also the fact that he is driving a turbo charged car with probably overheated tires from difting so much in one course, you can really hear that bov in the background. He makes the underpowered rwd car slide easier with junkyard tires and weight transfer with some blipping of the throttle. A lot of practice is needed to learn the style from this drifter the way he wants you to, with a great suspension setup and good tires plus a lsd comes in handy for thoes dounuts and a rwd car is of course a lot of fun if you can get one and for that you need a very large track for the errors that most likley will happen like her says. the video is all in dubbed english and no subtitles so it might take a few veiws to actualy get it all in your head. I am happy to have this in my library and for the price it was still well worth it.

5 out of 5 stars cars.......2007-04-11

This is a super fascinating and helpful addition to anyone who's interested in "racing's" collection.

5 out of 5 stars The best bang-for-the-buck drift instruction........2007-03-06

To those who haven't seen this DVD and have or haven't seen any other DVDs from Best Motoring, it should be noted right away that this is not really an entertaining DVD, it is strictly an instructional video. As long as you know that you can't be dissapointed. At $10 this is the best drift instruction you're going to get! Everything is clear, linear, and right to the point. Keiichi Tsuchiya does a great job of demonstrating all of the main drift techniques, on different types of corners, and in all different types of cars (minus front-wheel-drive). They also use a screen-in-screen feature (note: standard for the video, NOT a DVD selectable option) that shows the in-car steering, pedal movements, and (if I'm not confusing it with other BMI videos) the tachometer as well. The one thing that I thought was really thoughtful in the making of this DVD is that they put a brake light on the front of the car so that you can see the braking points and timing from an outside-front view going into a corner. Tsuchiya even gives tips and demonstrates the best path to take as you start drifting such as just starting with low speed 180 degree turns with the parking brake and where to go from there. Normally I would nitpick about how there should be a little bit in here on tuning for different types of cars, but after you see it you realize that it's just meant to be about the driving and at a beginner's level at that. So, I give it 5 stars. It's $10, what have you got to lose?...other than $10.

5 out of 5 stars Awesome Drift Viveo!.......2006-07-28

The Drift Bible is a very ecucational video for people that are serious about learning this new sport. And let's face it; it was a blast to watch!
The only negative feedback is that you don't want the video to end!
This vidoe comes with high recommendation!

Product Description

In this wildly outrageous romantic comedy, high-flying Wall Street wonder boy Ryan Turner (Charlie Sheen) has it all: a gorgeous girlfriend, a fabulous apartment, good looks and a bright career. He just can't lose- until he gets a bum stock tip and suddenly his world comes crashing down. Out of a job, and knowing a thing or two about women, Ryan secretly writes his (now) ex-girlfriend Cindy's (Denise Richards) advice column, Ask Cindy- with disastrous results. On the verge of getting fired by the newspaper editor, Page (Angie Harmon), Turner turns to his plastic surgeon buddy Barry (Jon Lovitz) for help. Once a boorish, insensitive guy, he transforms the column, and himself, into a winner of hearts and minds- including his ex-girlfriends editor, Page. A delightful romp, you'll love this romantic comedy of identity.

Fans of Denise Richards will delight in her skin-tight and belly-revealing outfits in Good Advice; fans of Charlie Sheen will enjoy his patented sleazeball-with-a-heart-of-gold performance. Richards is the author of a much-ignored advice column who's trying to drag her hotshot stockbroker boyfriend (Sheen) to the altar. When a phony tip ruins Sheen's career, Richards leaves for Brazil with the owner of a diamond mine. When the publisher of the newspaper that runs the advice column calls, Sheen grabs at the chance for a paycheck and writes for Richards. Unsurprisingly, masquerading as a woman saves his shallow male soul and his witty but insightful comments turn the column into a big hit. All seems to be going well until Richards suddenly returns and finds herself famous. Angie Harmon plays the publisher with whom--unsurprisingly--sparks fly. Jon Lovitz, Rosanna Arquette, and Estelle Harris provide helpful support. --Bret Fetzer

    Customer Reviews:

5 out of 5 stars Light romantic comedy.......2007-05-27

In three words, this is a light romantic comedy.
But it is charming and funny!
Great job by Daniel Margosis and Robert Horn.

5 out of 5 stars Worthy of 5 Stars, enjoyable as light fare.......2007-02-06

Saw this on TV last night for the 3rd time. Time to buy it for my library. Bright, lively, comedic, wrapped around a feel good love story. Angie Harmon and Charlie Sheen make a good couple. Support actors are good. I think I enjoy it most for its lightness, not a deep dark thread to follow. Kind of movie you can pop in the VCR every few months or so and still enjoy the light fare over again. My good advice is to enjoy "Good Advice".

    3 out of 5 stars Mildly entertaining.......2006-12-20

In this 2001 romantic comedy, an insensitive self-help columnist becomes famous when her out-of-work boyfriend starts writing her column for her. It's a promising setup, but falls short of it's potential. Unlike "Just Write", a starless film with a hokey set piece that somehow becomes more than the sum of its parts, "Good Advice" fails to convince. Charlie Sheen is handsome as boyfriend Ryan Turner, but although he's brought low in the setup, the defeat he suffers is shallow, entirely not his own fault. As a result, we don't root as hard for him to rise again - which the plot cleverly has him do as the surprisingly wise advice columnist of Page Hensen's (Angie Harmon) shoestring newspaper operation. Sheen is handsome and Harmon gorgeous, but where's the juice? To be honest I was more attracted to the seventy-year-old orange-haired secretary. At least she added some spark to situations.
It still could have worked, but the mechanical interaction between Sheen and Harmon killed the possibility. "Just Write" overcame its hokey set piece, but "Good Advice", while charming at times, never rises to the level of believability. High points: Roseanne Arquette and Jon Lovitz as Barry and Cathy Sherman.

2 out of 5 stars If Only Life Were That Simple.......2006-08-12

In GOOD ADVICE, director Steve Rash presents a view of upper class urban life that is supposed to be funny in a slapstick sort of way but quickly enough morphs into the world of fairy tales that is unified only by the most unlikely concatenations of events. Charley Sheen reprises his WALL STREET role as an upward bound stock broker who, in this film, has learned that humor can be the leavening agent to success that was denied him by his earlier confrontations with Gordon Gekko. Sheen has a live in girlfriend (Denise Richards) who comes across as exactly the sort of blonde bimbo airhead who has little success as a girlfriend and less as a lonelyhearts advice columnist. Richards dumps Sheen because he has lost his job in a manner that draws uncomfortable dramatic parallels with his previous WALL STREET role. He becomes boozy, depressed, and frankly not a little pathetic in his slovenliness. After Richards exits for Brazil, Sheen needs a job. Then he gets a bright idea. Why not take over hers? First, he must convince Richards' boss (Angie Harmon), who can't make up her mind whether to toss Sheen out of her office or into her bed. At this point, GOOD ADVICE has already crossed the line into a Drew Barrymore fairy tale where things and events always break exactly right for all concerned. I kept waiting for reality to intrude. When Harmon pays Sheen with a paycheck for his columns that she thinks Richards is writing, I wondered when he would ask her to write the check in his own name since he could not cash checks in Richards' name. Jon Lovitz and Roseanna Arquette are only props for Sheen to bounce off of. Estelle Harris is more amusing as an oversexed septuagenerian who saves the day. Not for one moment did I accept the plot premise that Angie Harmon might not fall for the manly charms of Charley Sheen, but then again, in light fluffy romantic comedies like GOOD ADVICE, all that is required to maintain viewer interest is for the cast to pretend that they like each other, or failing that, hate each other. GOOD ADVICE does the former to such an extent that the lack of the latter is hardly noticed. It is not likely that one would want to view GOOD ADVICE more than once. Take my good advice for what it is worth.

1 out of 5 stars Really bad movie,,,,.......2006-03-24

If you are tired of Richards and Sheen making the tabloids in divorse court, then you will not likely be in favor of this movie where the characters played by Richards and Sheen go at it like two lions ready to attack, Poor Angie Harmon is cast in a thankless role and is expected to pull Sheen's character out of the fire at the last moment, which we do not care if it happens because this film is so bad, you will throw the DVD away or return it to the DVD rental shop.

It's really not a good investment, because it's and old video, image quality it's not the best and it's not really covering much on the golf instruction. Probably only good for a person who's never played before.

that's for sure...but it's still definitely a good buy. For what it's worth, I was entertained. I actually watched most of this 3 hour program and did gain valuable insight from a european approach to life -- and how they translate that into their golf game.

The movie's age shows (made in the 80s) and the there are far better instructional golf videos on the market. Whether you are novice or expert, if you want to improve your swing, you are better off spening your money on the driving range than than purchasing this DVD.
