"Meet the Beaters" is a sick sitcom taking family dysfunctionality to a bloody extreme. "Coco the Junkie Pimp" features clown marionettes who speak like monstrous street pimps, while "Stick Girl's Guide to Sex" is, let's say, an educational film about how to behave when a condom-less male member arrives unexpectedly at one's front door. This Sick & Twisted traveling cartoon festival was an offshoot of the Spike & Mike Animation Festival, which began as filler at rock concerts twenty-five years ago and remains the leading venue for cutting-edge cartoons. Now a part of the Cannes and Sundance Film Festivals, these yearly events have a massive dedicated following that continue to fill arenas in over 50 markets nationwide. Offering new and upcoming animators a place to showcase their films, the Spike & Mike Animation Festivals have launched the careers of now-famous animators such as Matt Stone and Trey Parker (South Park), Nick Park and Peter Lord of Aardman (Creature Comforts, Chicken Run), Craig McCracken (The Powerpuff Girls), Mike Judge (Beavis and Butthead) and John Lasseter (Toy Story, Monsters Inc.) to name a few.

The tracks on 1 - 18 were correctly listed, but track 19 was WRONG... it is NOT Devil Went Down to Georgia.... fortunately I did return it and recieve credit, but it was meant to be a gift which I ended up not getting to someone on time
Sick humor...without the humor.......2005-04-19
I like sick jokes and cartoons as much as the next guy. Why else would I buy a DVD like this? Unfortunately, the toons in this collection have no wit or point to them at all.
Example:"Teach Me"- Cartoon frogs mate in unusual positions, one frog kills the other with a razor and a knife, surviving frog continues to mate with the dead frog, then he pleasures himself while staring at the sun and his eyes burst into flames, The End.
I reiterate, I'm the kind of guy who considers American Psycho a comedy. These animations are not funny or insightful at all, just unpleasant to watch.

Hi I have been a big fan of animation my whole life.I went to College very close to Cal Arts and so I knew many animators. While this DVD does contain many great films you should also check out this guys site http://www.nickgibbons.com. This is a friend of mine who just released his animation DVD. It is very funny, but he has no way of getting the word out. Check out his site and trust me, it's worth the price. He has a short on this Spike and Mike DVD, but he told me he doesn't see a dime anything they sell. Check out his site and please help support independent film making.

I am a massive spike and mike fan. When i saw this dvd i bought asap and upon watching it i must say that i got my money worth but would have like to see more TLC put into this one. The previous two sick and twisted ruled ass. This is for serrious spike and mike fans

Oh, Spike & Mike, what has happened to you?.......2006-06-18
Well, the stop-action furniture piece was somewhat amusing, beyond that, there is nothing I can really recommend here. Poor concepts, poor execution, and yes, flash animation you can get for free online (Happy Tree Friends). Don't waste your time or money friends, this is a clunker! in The early 90s, Spike & Mike used to be a must-see showcase of animation, but this...bottom of the barrel.
amateur DVD that looks like a video cassette dub.......2004-08-03
Very poor all around... the one or two cartoons on here that are actually any good are of very poor video cassette quality. I felt like I was watching an amateur VHS dub, instead of a properly authored DVD.
Thankfully the decent cartoons on here are available on other more professional DVD releases.
A word to the wise consumer: don't be fooled just because the format is DVD! DVD does not mean anything if the source materials that an amateur company uses are sub par!

The second dvd in the sick and twisted collection is one of the best dvd's i ever bought. It has it all, maakies, Happy tree friends, and the tripped out horned grandma. Clocking in under 2 Hrs this is defenaty a party dvd to show.

I can only guess the positive reviews listed here were written either by children or employees of this DVD's distributor.
I've been involved with independent animation for over thirty years and this is a very desperate "scraping the bottom of the barrel" collection indeed - only one or two of the pieces here are worthwhile, and are available on far higher quality collections elsewhere (in terms of video and audio quality).
The rest of the pieces are subpar, barely-animated Flash cartoons that most websites would be embarrassed to host for free.
The DVD is also very poorly produced and has no extras.

I don't usually like cartoons, but this one really had some very funny bits. There was some real violent skits called Happy Tree Friends that was very witty. Can't wait for the next one, Unprotected - I'll tell you all how it is.

Stupid and Unfunny.......2003-03-25
I was having a downright cheerful day until I watched this dvd. When I first saw the case I thought, "Hey, Spike and Mike! They've introduced some really cool stuff over the years." Unfortunately, almost none of it shows up on this dvd. The only short I can recommend in good conscience is the Bill Plympton short, How to Make Love To A Woman. If the dvd were about $2, Plympton would be worth it, but for a price [that's higher], I have to suggest avoiding it at all costs. Unless you find the prospect of various animals, vegetables and minerals defecating in many non-hilarious ways, stay far, far away.
Saw in theaters.......2002-07-10
I saw the first 3 episodes of Spike and Mike in San Francisco at the theaters. What an experience! It was loads of fun. Even though the video does not have Scotty the Balloon eating dog chomping on a blow up girl doll, the video is great but definately not for younger viewers. I saw the festival of animation 1-3 in the Theaters and would recommend it for younger viewers. I do think some of the *fun* was lost in the tape and not having the experience of being there but it is still worth getting and hard to come by...

I was a huge fan of the S n'T shows while I was in college. With much anticipation, I awaited the arrival of this DVD. After watching it, I immidiately put it up for auction on EBAY. I would not recommend. I have heard that vols. 1 and 2 are pretty cool. I think vols. 1 and 2 are the clips that they showed in the theatres while on tour in the early 90's.

The title says it all... This, along with part 3 was pretty damn funny. 1 ..., don't waste your money... but 2 and 3 are worth it. Haven't seen 4-6 or the DVD's so I couldn't tell ya how they compare. As somebody else already said, you have to sort through some stupid ones, but there are enough funnies to keep ya laughing.... FF through Furniture Phillangies... the worste cartoon of em all.....

Generally I enjoy all kinds of animation, hardly there is a piece that I wouldn't want to see. So I bought this disc and I've been waiting for delivery with great anticipation.. I was embarrassed in the end, that's a pity. It's not the sickness that made me sad, but sickness without any idea or a single emotion, sickness solely for the sake of sickness.
Still I think that this disc is worthy just for 2-3 titles that are great nevertheless. If you're a fan and just can't get enough of moving pictures, get it; after all it's not a mainstream and is different. On the second thought, such kind of "off-stream" exists thanks to the mainstream animation, it is provoked by domination of sweetness and family values on screen. But such an art doesn't have any value on its own and that made up my poor 2-star rating.
