Snow and the winter holidays mean fun to children everywhere--and that includes Kipper and his friends Tiger, Pig, and Arnold. In "Christmas Eve," Kipper touts the feeling of anticipation on Christmas Eve as equally as wonderful as the joy of Christmas Day itself. Kipper also finds that the best parts of the holidays are warm feelings of giving and thankfulness. Kipper and Tiger get creative when they attempt to construct and maintain an igloo in "The Igloo" and enjoy a day of togetherness and taking turns in "Tiger's Sled." "The Big Freeze" shows Kipper at his compassionate best and "Snowy Day" charges along with laughter, animal-stuffed snowballs, and an impressive snow dog. Based on the Kipper books by Mick Inkpen, this 40-minute quintet of wintertime episodes is a celebration of friendship, compassion, generosity, thankfulness, and good old-fashioned winter fun. (Ages 3 to 7) --Tami Horiuchi

5 out of 5 stars Wonderful winter adventures.......2007-01-21

You can't go wrong buying any of the Kipper video series. The characters are unique, the artwork is beautiful, the stories are charming, and the lovely sophisticated jazz music is catchy, original, and provides the perfect emphasis to whatever is happening on the screen. My 3 year old watches a Kipper story every night at bedtime, and I enjoy them as much as she does ! This is the perfect winter addition to your Kipper collection.

5 out of 5 stars Kipper - Let it Snow.......2007-01-18

My boys, ages 3 and 6, love watching Kipper. They are even trying to speak with an accent like Kipper. They watch it at least once a day but more often than not, 2 or 3 times.

5 out of 5 stars Kipper is a favorite.......2006-06-21

This was our first Kipper DVD; purchased when my children were nineteen months old. This was also the first DVD in which my son showed any interest. (My daughter already loved Clifford.) Since then we've purchased several Kipper DVD's and love them all. The Kipper series does not over stimulate, offers sweet short stories and nice background music.

5 out of 5 stars What a wonderful Cartoon.......2006-04-14

I'm so surprised that this little gem of toddler's cartoon is not as widely shown like Dora or Teletubbies. Such a wonderful show with great drawing, good morals, catchy music, and the best of all: It's Not Noisy! You leave it on and go about the house doing your chores and soon forget that it's even running. All you know is that instead of jumping or flailing with the TV, your baby is sitting quietly completely absorbed. Defintely a must-have for any parents with small children. Even my wife likes to watch it on her own time.

4 out of 5 stars kipper is a preschool favorite, simple and funny.......2005-01-07

kipper does lots of things that apply to the everyday life of toddlers and preschool aged kids. my son is 3.5 and he loves this dvd. the dvd contain several small episodes and the character are polite and helpful and will help your child learn proper manners. characters in kipper videos have an english or brittish accent, yet are easy to understand.

3 out of 5 stars closing song title, please?.......2005-04-04

5 out of 5 stars Let It Snow.......2003-05-16

I stumbled upon this movie that was showing on HBO and decided to give a chance. I was nursing a rather severe hangover at the time, so i had nothing better to do. Surprising, I ended up really enjoying this movie. Normally I'm not a big fan of love stories but this one just worked. Plain and simple, it was just one of those movies that makes you feel good after u watch it. It's a bit sappy at times but it doesnt go overboard with it. I don't think i could sit around with the guys and watch this movie, but it would be a damn good date movie. Anyways, i was wondering if the movie was really as good as i thought it was or if i was just still drunk from the night before. it seems like im not the only one that liked it.

4 out of 5 stars I Saw This!.......2003-04-13

I liked this movie enough to come to Amazon and see what everybody else thought about it. The general consensus was satisfying enough, but the stuffy professional reviewers totally miss the point of the story. And you know what? They are supposed to take a mint of pride in their abilities to see a movie for what it is. Yeah, it is low budget and quirky. OK, even a little "contrived", but it hits home anyway. Whose youth wasn't quirky? Everybody has those "remember that time......." flashes of total wierdness we love to revisit. The story does a great job of letting us get to know the characters. On point, it is totally appropriate to invest the portrayal of immature, indecisive roles to our youngest, starting actors. For me, as a total experience, Kleenex saved the day.

4 out of 5 stars A LOW BUDGET "SERENDIPITY" OR MALE "BRIDGET JONES DIARY".......2002-10-14

This romantic comedy centers around James Ellis (Kipp Marcus) and Sarah Milson (Alice Dylan). James is eighteen years old when he first falls in love with Sarah. He attends the CIA, the Cooking Institute of America (I guess so that the Culinary Institue of America doesn't get upset). He wants to become a chef and own his own restaurant someday. She is a college girl. They ultimately end up having a date, and when they kiss it is magical. He is head over heels in love. She, while very much attracted to him, listens to her parents, and the romance goes nowhere. The kiss off scene, which takes place over the phone while he is cooking at the CIA, works very well.

Shattered by losing the girl of his dreams, he forsakes his own personal dream and drops out of the CIA six months before graduating. Living in Manhattan, he is a lost soul without his Sarah, and he aimlessly drifts. Sarah, meanwhile, has gone abroad to finish college. When she returns, he finds out. Their paths cross a few times, as she, too, lives in Manhattan. Meanwhile, years go by. She gets engaged to a man of whom her parents approve. He, meanwhile, is still scraping along, his dream of being a chef on hold. He dates a series of nutjobs, while he moons over his lost love. Neither he nor Sarah are happy. There are, however, some very funny scenes involving these nut jobs that he dated.

Of course, their paths again cross, and que sera, sera! This being a romantic comedy, there has to be a happy ending. To discover how it comes about, however, requires you to watch this movie. It is a little quirky film, but occassionally quite funny. Kipp Marcus is not particularly attractive, looking cadaverously thin and drawn, while Alice Dylan, though pleasant looking, is no beauty queen. They seem to be almost an odd couple. Still, Kipp Marcus has a sort of ingratiating charm that works, a sort of poor man's Ben Affleck. Alice Dylan gives a credible performance as Sarah. Look for Bernadette Peters in the role of Elise Ellis, mother to James.

4 out of 5 stars Let it Snow.......2002-06-19

I thought this was a formula movie that worked....I thought the characters were likable. I thought they were quirky,( but extremely likable. I though the characters had some great lines. This is a nice sweet movie to watch with your significant other on a Saturday night. The movie doesn't try to be anything other than entertainment.
