Product Description
In this exclusive 83 minute DVD premiere, featuring brand new, never before seen content, Stewie, the maniacal baby genius, is distracted from his plans for world domination when he sees a man who looks just like him on television. Convinced that this man must be his real father (after all, how could he possibly share genetic material with the dimwitted Peter?), Stewie sets off on a cross-country road trip to find him. But his incredible journey leads him to discoveries far more vile and shocking that anything found in his diaper.

For Family Guy fans, there are no freakin' sweeter words than "Never Before Seen." A triumphant homecoming for the Griffins, Stewie Griffin is not so much a movie as it is a not-yet-aired three-episode story arc enhanced with a home-video-exclusive "red carpet premiere" prologue and an epilogue (capped, of course, with a fart joke). Family Guy's resurrection is a television miracle, and its creators have rewarded the faithful by picking up right where they left off, offending any and all sensibilities (recasting Jesus as comic magician Art Metrano), dissing the celebrity disenfranchised (Ellen Cleghorne references, anyone?), and generally taking potshots at anyone on their enemies list (Stewie breaks the neck of a reporter for Entertainment Weekly, the magazine that once called Family Guy "the Awful Show They Just Keep Putting on the Air"). The Untold Story! is a star vehicle for Family Guy 's breakout character, in which the mega maniacal and matricidal infant has a Grinch-like change of heart after a near-death experience (and a disturbing encounter with Steve Allen in Hell) and, more life-altering, discovers a football-pated man who could be his father (the truth is more shocking!). As go the gags, so goes Family Guy, and there are enough good ones here to compensate for the many misfires. The Miller-esque (as in Dennis) penchant for channeling arcane pop culture can grow tiresome. But for those who do remember the words to the Who's the Boss theme song, know (or still care) who Steve Bartman is, and are always up for "a sexy party," this will be the greatest story ever untold. --Donald Liebenson

Unfortunately..........2007-08-15
It is 3 episodes put together faking to be like a movie, but anyways, i thought it was good, but I didn't like once it came in the mail, the cover was different from the picture on here. I wanted the one with Stewie griffin, half his face showing and him saying "NEVER BEFORE SEEN!" but instead I got a boring black cover with the griffin family on it.
For the movie itself, it was funny and awesome, family guy-must see!
i was just disappointed in the cover art and how that picture lied to us all.
Um, yeah..not so much.......2007-07-30
I am a rabid Family Guy fan. I was just like you guys staying up late at night watching Adult Swim watching re-runs and laughing at each joke as if they were new. When I heard the movie was coming come I was one of the first to order. I was completely excited, told all my friends. The movie finally came.
But then I put the DVD in.
Um, yeah..not so much. It was such a disappointment. It's like having two bad Family Guy episodes pasted together, and badly. I couldn't recommend it to anyone, but if you are a rabid fan you already have it anyway.
one of the worst movies ever........2007-07-25
A full length Family Guy movie might sound like a good idea, and definitely a good financial move, considering how popular(and overrated imo) Family Guy is nowadays. But when I saw the results of this idea, I completely realized that Family Guy is not a show to make a feature film out of. Aqua Teen Hunger Force even worked better as a movie than Family Guy did. The whole thing is just 3 modern episodes tied together. And if you read my other Family Guy review, you'd know that I'm not a fan of alot of recent Family guy episodes. And many of the great flaws and negativities of recent episodes are all present in this movie. And even worse, I did not laugh even once throughout the whole movie. I laugh occasionally in every new family guy episode, but not once in this whole movie did I laugh.
I got fooled. Content new at release time, but is a 'rerun' now.......2007-07-10
I am glad this was paid for by a gift certificate. That way I don't feel as foolish for spending money on something that has been shown on TV. This was released during a time when no new Family Guy was being shown on TV. Once it returned to TV, these episodes were aired.
Buy this if you like to 'own' what you see on TV.
I must admit, it is fun to watch them with the 'adult' language soundtrack. Cartoons that swear are worth a giggle. Don't worry, they do not swear a lot.
Funny and Kool.......2007-07-06
This movie is hilarious its like as funny as the show itself like stewie goes back into time and sees he becomes a 35 year old virgin because he tried to kill a little boy by the swimming pool that 1 day.

A visit back to my childhood.......2007-09-03
I have been waiting for Space Ghost to go to DVD. As soon as I received it I popped it into my DVD player. I could watch it over and over again! Now I am waiting for The Herculoids to go to DVD.
New Point of View.......2007-08-28
My memories of space ghost seem to be better than the actual show. While I still enjoy it, the enjoyment is less than my remembered enjoyment.
Space ghost rocks!.......2007-08-26
This was one of the cartoons that made cartoon network awesome and worth watching I miss cartoons like these. They just never make them like they use to. Cartoon network sucks now and days they changed it so much that it's no longer worth watching for me. Screw cartoon network their new cartoons suck! You want cartoons from the good old days then space ghost is one of them now if they would just release a complete DVD collections of 2 stupid dogs then thats all we would probably need.
THE ORIGINAL IS STILL THE BEST!.......2007-08-11
This is the ORIGINAL series, not that coast-to-coast crap bastardization that raped our memories. The fun's all here; monsters/aliens, power bands, cool sound efx,and Gary Owen's voice. Dino Boy is pretty cool, too, predating both VALLEY OF THE DINOSAURS and LAND OF THE LOST by nearly a decade. Watch for an homage to the pterodactyl fight in ONE MILLION YEARS B.C. (which might have inspired this series in part). And there's a cool, informative documentary on the late Alex Toth and his influence on later series like BATMAN:THE ANIMATED SERIES and SUPERMAN:THE ANIMATED SERIES.So why 4 stars? Because the DVDs are double-sided discs, which means unwanted fingerprints and scratches (which were on mine but didn't affect the playing of the DVDs). Also missing, and mentioned by another reviewer, are the linking segments showing interaction between Space Ghost and Dino Boy. Otherwise, everything is intact. A must-have for fans of vintage Saturday morning superhero action toons!
A childhood favorite cartoon.......2007-08-09
This is one of my favorite cartoons growing up in the 60's. The DVD production (visual and sound quality) was excellent. The only drawbacks are 1. Dino Boy was included in the DVD's. I didn't like it then and still don't, 2. All of the episodes are not on this 2 disc set. The episode where Space Ghost fights the giant lava monster (which is in the trailer)is not included. That just so happens to be my favorite episode. All in all, a nice trip down memory lane.

Customer Reviews:
A remarkable look behind four shows.......2007-08-22
As this film's ending makes perfectly clear, Broadway is brutal: far more shows fail than succeed. Show Business followed four musicals (Wicked, Taboo, Avenue Q, and Caroline, Or Change) through pre-production to (some would say premature) closing, unveiling the huge amount of work expended to put these productions on the stage. Not only is it a valentine to the musical, but to the art form's fans. A must-see for anyone who loves Broadway.
This Road has a few potholes.......2007-08-19
I am giving this documentary 4 stars because of the backstage access and how well the film is done. However, after hearing about the film and seeing interviews regarding the film where the makers talk about stumbling into this interesting season, it does not feel complete. The one major thing missing from this movie, and I think it was intentional, was the big campaign by Avenue Q for the Tony. We do not see the theater all bedecked in the streamers that they hung, and the acceptance speach at the Tonys where voting your heart was mentioned is nowhere to be found. For those in the theatre community and for those who follow the theatre closely, we all know about the big push Avenu Q made to win the Tony. It is interesting that they covered the problems Tonya Pinkins was having in her personal life and touching on the controversy surrounding Taboo and Rosie O'donnell, but not a word about how "aggressive" Avenue Q was at Tony time. This makes this documentary just average. it is great to be taken through the rehearsal process of these 4 shows and getting a peek at backstage life. And the inclusion of the chats between theatre critics was also good. But with the exclusion of the Avenue Q "mini controversy", this documentary could have been filmed during any season. I was so looking forward to seeing this after hearing good things about it. Will I buy the DVD? Yes. And why? because any peek behind the scenes of the theatre is worth buying to me. Just wish this one was better.
A True Valentine to One Tumultuous Broadway Season Full of Insight and Energy.......2007-07-28
The odds against a Broadway musical becoming a profitable hit make Hollywood studio film deals seem like a sure thing by comparison. However, there is a more palpable energy to live theater and arguably a genuine sense of risk. Filmmaker Dori Berinstein has captured this high-wire dynamic in spades with this enthusiastic 2007 documentary, which covers the 2003-04 Broadway season culminating in the Tony Awards held in June. There are plenty of random shots from the season's shows and even coverage of a little-known rehearsal ritual of having the most prolific cast member wear a gypsy robe before opening. Berinstein's focus is primarily on four disparate musicals - the successful $14-million Wizard of Oz-inspired extravaganza, Wicked; a socially conscious period piece, the powerful Caroline, or Change; the glam-rock Boy George autobiography, the financially stunted Taboo; and the season's underdog, the adult-oriented comic paean to Sesame Street, Avenue Q.
Bouncing between the productions in various stages of development, the filmmaker intersperses brief interviews with the producers, directors, writers and principal actors, as well as scabrous roundtable conversations about the spotlighted shows among the influential theater critics who have the power to close a show with a scathing review. The diverse combination of perspectives provides interesting fodder, even though given the wealth of material gathered here, the treatment sometimes feels truncated and cursory, for example, composer Stephen Schwartz and star Idina Menzel are given plenty of attention on "Wicked", but not nearly as much is lavished on co-star Kristin Chenoweth or the other creative forces behind the show. Intriguingly, the near-legendary backstage turmoil behind "Taboo" is mentioned, but very little of that tension is evident in the rehearsal scenes or the interviews with producer Rosie O'Donnell, Boy George or stars Euan Morton and Raúl Esparza.
Even though it is not remotely a warts-and-all type of film, there are refreshingly candid comments from O' Donnell and Boy George about the unfair press coverage "Taboo" received from the New York Post's smarmy Michael Riedel. There are also moments that are surprisingly poignant like "Caroline, or Change" star Tonya Pinkins recounting her grief-filled back story and Morton near tears as he talks about his post-close struggles. Easily the most amusing scenes spotlight the young, precocious composers of "Avenue Q", Jeff Marx and Bobby Perez, who seem to have accidentally backed into their show idea and ironically came out the season's true victors. The interviews with Marx's proud but dumbfounded father are especially hilarious. As a Broadway aficionado, I couldn't help but wish there were more musical moments included beyond the snippets shown, in particular, more of Pinkins' stirring turn in her show or the wildly talented Esparza's cross-dressing turn in "Taboo". But otherwise, this all-access peek into the Broadway theater scene is genuinely insightful and wonderfully entertaining.

Great Show.......2007-08-08
This is a great show, one of the best I have seen in a long time. I make sure it is on my Palm Treo calander for Thursday at 9:00pm. I don't move from the TV set when October Road is on. It keeps me very interested and always guessing what will happen next. I love this show and Highly recommend this to anyone. I keep hoping that they will bring another second season and that it will come very soon. I have head it is coming back.
Really is a great show........2007-07-27
There aren't many shows that can put the main character in such a place as they do in October road, and succeed. This show is wonderful. It leaves you wondering what's going to happen next and it always leaves you guessing. The book that the show is based on is great as well. I recommend that if you have seen the show that you read the book. This is defiantly worth getting if you're a true Byran Greenberg fan. It was also just announced that they're bringing October road back for a second season according to Bryan Greenberg's reps.

For Depression-era audiences, much of the fun of screwball comedies such as It Happened One Night and My Man Godfrey, was the pleasure of watching rich people act like loons or get their redemptive comeuppance from some Average Joe. The same vicarious kicks are at play in the sophomore season of The Simple Life, in which Paris Hilton and Nicole Ritchie drive from Florida to California. With no cash or credit cards, they must depend on the kindness of strangers (invariably nonplussed men whom the ladies approach for handouts at toll booths, gas stations, or fast food joints). The series takes great delight in putting the pampered and privileged duo in embarrassing situations, such as getting them jobs as maids at a nudist resort. But through it all, our uneasy riders are game for almost anything and never lose their 'tude. And just when their antics try the viewers' patience or sympathy (at the nudist resort, they shamelessly goldbrick on the job, posing as guests and calling for a maid to clean up the room for which they are responsible), they somehow redeem themselves. On a cattle drive, they pull a City Slickers and save one steer from slaughter. But comeuppance? These girls don't know the meaning of the word (insert your own joke here). They are forced to take it from several of their less-than-impressed hosts, but they also dish it out, as witness one episode in which one unwitting antagonist is served a dog food sausage courtesy of Nicole. How much of this is staged is probably beside the point. The Simple Life is unreality television at its most addictive. Fasten your seatbelts. --Donald Liebenson

Damaged.......2007-09-17
I Love the simple life and ordered numbers 3 and 4 also. However in the second last episode of series 2 the CD skips and jumps and then just stops so that is a bit dissapointing. I was going to return it or exchange it but I didn't keep my receipt.

The Simple Life Review .......2007-05-12
I enjoyed this product! The dvd was enjoyable, and funny, and in good condition!
Do I have a guilty pleasure?.......2006-10-06
This is the first season I've seen in full of the Simple Life. I've never seen the first or the fourth, and I've seen a few episodes in series 3 Interns, but otherwise that's it. I've never seen the rest of them cheap enough yet. This one was dead cheap, so I snatched it up straight away, even if I did get slated for buying it.
The thing about the Simple Life is you will rarely admit to buying it. Or admit to watching it. It's something that's meant to be kept a secret, cos it's simply not "cool".
I'm "coming out of the closet" and admitting I love watching the Simple Life. Sure, it's all scripted beyond belief, it's edited down from lots of footage to barely 20 minutes. And it stars one of the biggest self promoters you can possibly get. (Yes Paris I'm talking about you!)
But I love Nicole Richie. And despite her recent weight issues, I'll buy her biographies, and the Simple Life. She is the ultimate rock chick. And she's the true star of the show unlike Paris.
But one question is why is this show censored? The swear words are beeped out and there are some scenes where both girls are wearing low cut trousers, and it's been blurred out!!!
This will remain my one guilty pleasure, probably until I get the rest of the DVDs, but I just don't understand why it's been censored, it so stupid! That is my only quibble about this show.
Nicole + Paris = Hilarious!.......2006-05-23
Coming into the second season strong Paris and Nicole know how to take the same senerio and make it fresh. In fact, all three seasons so far have seen these two rich socialites plucked from the norm (to them) and placed in a place that seems foreign with people who just don't understand them. The fact remains though, that these two girls survive by being themselves, incapable of work, unwilling to work, and unable to work...and they drive everyone insane and then redeem themselves with their charm and sweet hearts (they really are sweet girls)...So this season sees them cross country traveling from FL to Cali and the who way there they stop and live with families getting jobs you'd never expect them to do. The funniest episodes involve the Local Police Dept. where they use their new power to harrass the locals & the Nudest Colony where they are hired as maids and end up posing as guests, charging food to the room and calling for another maid to clean the room. Every episode is hilarious. Who ever said Paris was only worth her sex tape hasn't seen 'The Simple Life'...oh and I must add that this show is a hoot MOSTLY because of Nicole Richie who is HISTERICAL!
Paris and Nicole are Devilish, Delightful and needed in this world.......2006-04-08
I am a 41 female artist who "by accident" was channeling flipping and caught the first two episodes of SIMPLE LIFE 2 on E! channel as part of a repeat promo. I started laughing so hard I was crying while watching the antics of Paris and Nicole- I am sure my neighbors thought I was insane. I was lucky to catch all of SIMPLE LIFE 1 on the weekend marathon via E! Channel and then rushed out to get the rest of SIMPLE LIFE 2 on dvd because I couldn't wait to see it. I also rented SIMPLE LIFE 3. Simple Life 2 is the best, then simple life 3 then Simple Life 1. All are good. The MUST NOT miss episodes for Simple Life 2 are working as maids at EL CALIENTE (the nudist colony )and the Sheriff Office stint in texas while the girls are staying at Click ranch. If you are in need of a spiritual lift via laughter I suggest you RUN and get SL2. Nicole is a modern day Mae West and people were making fun of me for loving this series. OF COURSE they hadn't seen any of it and saying they didn't want to watch those "dumb" girls. It is obvious anyone who judges this without watching it is an idiot. I hope Nicole and Paris can mend their rift- I hear they are filming SL4 but without interacting ( huh??????!!!!). They are a modern day Laurel & Hardy mixed with Puck from a Mid Summer Night's Dream mixed with Mae West etc. Loves it!

Margaret Cho cheers on social outcasts in the charming comedy Bam-Bam & Celeste. Dictator-obsessed punkette Celeste (stand-up comedienne Cho, who also wrote the screenplay) and her gay hairdresser "boyfriend" Bam-Bam (Bruce Daniels, Can't Stop Dancing) flee the Illinois town where they've been taunted and harassed all their lives, hoping to get on a makeover show in New York called Trading Faces. Like all cinematic road trips, this is a journey of self-discovery, in which Celeste learns to love herself for herself--but though the conclusion is no surprise, getting there is offbeat and fun, with oddball episodes featuring "the lesbian lone ranger" (Jane Lynch, The 40 Year Old Virgin), a racist convenience-store clerk (Danny Hoch, Whiteboyz), and Bam-Bam and Celeste's final confrontation with their high school nemeses turned beauty-salon moguls. The day is saved in the end by Celeste's mother, also played by Cho--basically playing her own mother, as she does in her stand-up act. Alan Cumming (The Anniversary Party) plays Celeste's e-mail pal who happens to work on Trading Faces, while John Cho (Harold & Kumar Go to White Castle) is the show's snooty host. The bubbly camp of Bam-Bam & Celeste doesn't feel forced or insular, but like an honest celebration of misfit culture and blazing one's own trail. A loose, silly, but enjoyable movie. --Bret Fetzer
Product Description
Celeste (Margaret Cho) and Bam Bam (Bruce Daniels) are best friends still stuck in the white bread Midwest hometown where they grew up. Celeste lives at home with her out-of-touch Mommy (also played by Cho) and has retained her outcast status since high school. She and Bam Bam are free-spirited rejects in a town where looking or dressing differently is perpetually uncool.
Shunned on a good day and taunted on a bad one, the only thing Bam Bam and Celeste have is each other. They both feel life is passing them by. After seeing an ad for a contestant search for TRADING FACES, a reality makeover show in N.Y., they decide to follow their dreams to New York City.
Their yellow brick road to the Big Apple is strewn with potential disasters and comical crises, as they encounter thugs, survivalists, racists and a lesbian Lone Ranger, played with ballsy charm by Jane Lynch (40-Year Old Virgin, Best in Show) and other roadside distractions before finally reaching The City. They arrive, only to find their hometown high-school nemeses, now the style dictators of the world-famous Salon Mirage, sitting in judgment at TRADING FACES.

Cho Ho.......2007-09-10
Very Cho... I saw some of her stand-up routine in the movie. I wish there would have been more. This is definitely not for children. An epilog would have been nice to complete the story.
Road Trip.......2007-08-22
"Bam Bam and Celeste"
Road Trip
Amos Lassen and Cinema Pride
"Bam Bam and Celeste" is a feel good movie loaded with lots of good camp with a great cast. The supporting cast is fantastic and just to watch the many cameos make the movie a special treat. Margaret Cho plays both Celeste and her mother and does a great job. Alan Cumming s absolutely wonderful and Elaine Hendrix is so very evil that you have to love to hate her--she is brilliant.
"Bam Bam and Celeste" moves quickly and the movie is completely enjoyable even with the poor direction. I could not help but laugh all the way through the film. . What makes this movie so special is that the movie dared to go both after and with the stereotypes and turn them upside down and inside out.
The movie is a road trip from somewhere which is really nowhere to New York City in a car that is so gay it cannot be described. Along with the wonderful comedy is Margaret Cho's unique humor replete with her brashness and brutal honesty. Racial slurs are all over the place which makes us aware as to how widespread prejudice is in our world today and even though it was sometimes painful to hear occasionally, knowing that it was meant to highlight the way we live, definitely hit home. Sometimes they slurs were so direct that I could not help but wince but this is a problem that we can no longer ignore and it just heightened awareness of a shameful part of American culture. Beneath the comedy there is a strong message that cries out to us to be caring and accepting.
This is a movie that demands a wide audience because it has so much to say to us and so many needs to hear. What a great way to teach a lesson--through comedy. Even while you laugh, you realize that your laughter is based upon a shameful practice but if you realize it, then you know that things must change. Hopefully, the movie will get to the audience that needs it so badly.
dark humor and sweet release.......2007-07-21
Antithetical to the laugh-so-hard-you'll-cry theory is comedian and activist Margaret Cho, who will have you crying, hard, before making you laugh like you've never laughed before. In her stand-up shows, she tells achingly raw stories about the torment of growing up "different" and does so in a way that makes her the only comedian who can respond to racial slurs with "f*ck you" and pull it off like the most brilliant one-liner ever. Those soul-quenching moments of sweet release don't come as often in Bam Bam and Celeste, but hey--we finally get to see Margaret dressed up as her mother, which alone makes the film worth watching.
Bam Bam and Celeste are best friends from high school who discover they've become "townies." They leave their midwestern hometown for NYC in order to face their high school nemeses on the makeover show "Trading Faces." Many encounters--pleasant and otherwise--arise along the way.
The thing about Cho's stand-up stories is that they are inherently unfunny. It's her comments about the stories that are side splitting. Seeing the stories come to visual life is painful. Hate crimes just don't translate well as "zany antics." But Margaret Cho is still damn funny.
Bruce Daniels brings a charmingly understated quality to the outrageous Bam Bam, whose gas siphoning abilities are, um, jaw droppingly good. Bam Bam adores Celeste and thinks she's beautiful. His innocent confusion as to why this assertion would be questioned is wonderfully sweet. I haven't liked Alan Cumming ever since his "little league" comment on the L-Word, but he pulls off the adorably klutzy show coordinator who has a crush on Celeste.
The evil arch-nemesis Jackie (played flawlessly by Elaine Hendrix) remains painfully static and is possibly responsible for the film's flat ending, which should be the time we stand up and cheer along with the film's TV audience. Jackie's comeuppance isn't equivalent to the torment she's distributed; furthermore, she's more psychotic than misguided and, therefore, impervious to true retribution.
Cho fans who've been waiting for a full on "Mommy Cho" impression will not be disappointed. In addition to the always wonderful Cho and Daniels, campy colors and outstanding guest stars (Jane Lynch, Kathy Najimy) make this a trip worth taking. Despite the loose narrative thread and content mishaps, Bam Bam and Celeste made me laugh out loud, which is the little black dress of comedy.
Very Fun Movie.......2007-07-19
I was lucky enough to meet the two stars and receive a copy of the screener recently, and I really enjoyed the film. It's a fun movie that makes you feel good about who you are!
If I were capable of feeling guilt...this would be a guilty pleasure........2007-07-01
There is no doubt that Celeste & Bam Bam is borderline ridiculous and often very silly. However, it is also irrepressibly likable, loaded with some great one liners, and is a refreshingly undemanding entertaining watch.
You may be familiar with the story; two small town outcasts go on a quest to find themselves and escape their present situations. After the initial set-up where we're introduced to young queen (Bam Bam) and his awkward best friend (Celeste), a zany road-trip ensues. Splashes of intermittent hilarity follows as Celeste & Bam Bam adventure their way to "the big city" in search of all of their dreams.
All in all this is a very light and funny ride. Margaret Cho & Bruce Daniels are committed to their roles, and the rest of the cast, including the always likeable Alan Cummings, are more than willing and more often than not, very funny. The whole thing feels like a wonderful 80's throwback a la John Hughes and clearly has its heart in the right place. A fun party movie and a nice discovery. Recommended.

It shows Dino at his best.......2007-07-04
have owned this DVD for three years and it is in regular rotation. It really stands up to repeated viewings.
I must confess that there are other male singers whose voices I prefer over Dean's. However, Dean's phrasing and delivery are unsurpassed. I am an amateur singer myself and Dean is is my idol. I will always strive to sing with the seemingly effortless nuance and emotion that Dean imbues his songs with. Combined with his innate charm and boyish sense of humor, Dino is truly one in a million.
About the songs, all are sung live on this DVD. Not a single one is lip-synched. Dean sings a broad repertoire and every song is a gem. It is why this DVD is in regular rotation in our house.
Extras: There are two marvelous duets in on this DVD: one with Petula Clark and another with the Great Peggy Lee. Both are extraordinary examples of the magic that can happen when two great singers work together.
I highly recommend this DVD. I've purchased copies for my parents and for friends and, as a reult, all are enthusiastic devotees of the late, great Dean Martin.
Dino at his best........2007-06-12
This DVD works very well and it is so great to see Dean Martin be so funny on his television shows.
If you don't love Dean Martin before you see this DVD you will most certainly love him after you see it........2006-02-26
Dean Martin is the "ultimate" performer! The commentary by the producer/director of the "Dean Martin Show" will touch your heart when he talks about Dean.
Fabulous Dean Martin!.......2005-10-02
This is highly recomended for all Dean Martin's fans.A compilation of songs from the Dean Martin Show give us the artist doing what he did better than anyone:Sing and act.
If you have to buy one Dean Martin DVD,don't doubt it.This is THE ONE.
DINO is Where it's At!.......2005-09-19
Dino is the coolest and hippest dude to ever walk the face of this planet and this DVD is 100 % proof of this fact. Whenever I want to get high on Dino I put this on and get stoned on Dean.
It's hard to pick my favorite song, but presently I particularly am digging Dino's version of "Young At Heart." If I could own only one item of Dean's this DVD would be it. Dino is where it's at and this DVD is too. Keep grooving on Dino pallies!

From the producer of "Anne of Green Gables":
"Family programming filled with warmth and charm...." - LOS ANGELES TIMES
This 4-Disc DVD Boxset is the complete third season of "Road to Avonlea" / "Avonlea" (as shown on the Disney channel). Olivia's (Mag Ruffman) simple wedding plans get out of hand as Hetty (Jackie Burroughs) takes over and manages to alienate everyone in the family including Sara (Sarah Polley). Felix's (Zachary Bennett) humorous attempt at making money turns tragic as his horse, Blackie, dies in an accident. Avonlea hires an effervescent and charming new schoolteacher (Christopher Lloyd), whose unorthodox approach to teaching, inspires the children, but leaves the parents suspicious. Sara trades places with Jo Pitts, a street-smart waif who passes as Sara's double. However, as Sara leaves PEI for adventure, she only finds danger and mystery alongside Gus Pike (Michael Mahonen); while Felicity (Gema Zamprogna) lies about her family background in order to gain admission into a prestigious ladies college. On a sad note, this volume ends with the death of one of Avonlea's most beloved townsfolk, Marilla Cuthbert (Colleen Dewhurst); tying this episode into "Anne of Green Gables - The Sequel" and "Anne of Green Gables - The Continuing Story."

ROAD TO AVONLEA THE 3 SEASON.......2007-05-15
GREAT MOVIE YOU JUST WANT TO CONTINUE SEE THE SERIE
Charming........2007-04-06
Charming children and adults get into fun predicaments. If you liked "Little House on the Prairie" or "Anne of Green Gables"; you should like this. Seasons 1-6 are excellent.
Beautiful scenery, farm, horses, period costumes, with women in pretty dresses, period sets, realistic characters, likeable characters, lively pace, and inviting activities, take you to a nicer place.
Christopher Reeve, from the movie "Superman", guest-stars in a melodrama, mysterious but lively episode "A Dark and Stormy Night" (Writer-Hart Hanson). Another good episode is where Sarah and Felicity babysit their little nephew who is a little terror; the "Friends & Relations" episode. Usually an episode is able to focus on just a few of the characters with depth; but in this unique episode, many of the characters interact, at a lively pace. Very creative that the writer (Heather Conkie) was able to involve everyone with depth (and I wonder if it was planned or just happened with the plot). The episode "Vows of Silence" has a scene that is very funny, and another quietly funny/charming scene (Writer-Hart Hanson).
Disney spared no expense to create warm and humorous escapades.
This series has been my best money value; dividing the 13-episodes by the cost: $51÷13 episodes = $3.92 per 46-minute episode. Sells new in Canada for $80.
great season for a great show!.......2004-05-05
Road to Avonlea is my all-time favourite television show, and I'm so pleased that it's becoming available on DVD. Season 3 is an excellent season, and in my opinion, one of the best. There is great character development as the children (especially Felicity) begin to grow up. We also get to see another side of Aunt Janet (other than as Alec's wife), as well as more episodes with Gus Pike. The focus is becoming less on Sara Stanley (although she is still a main character) and more on the rest of the King family.
My only complaint with this DVD is the lack of bonus features. I hope the next RtA DVD includes features such as cast interviews, behind-the-scenes, and bonus footage.
episodes on this DVD (I put a * next to my favourites):
*The Ties that Bind - Olivia and Jasper's wedding! very funny, and very touching
Felix and Blackie - Felix starts a delivery service with his horse, Blackie.
*Another Point of View - Aunt Hetty resigns from teaching Avonlea School, and she is replaced by Professor Dimple, who introduces the students to modern ways of learning.
When she was bad...she was horrid (2 parts) - Sara gets fed up with Aunt Hetty controlling her life, so she runs away and leaves a double (Jo Pitts) in her place.
Aunt Janet Rebels - Aunt Janet campaigns for women's rights to vote.
A Dark and Stormy Night - Gus gets a job at the White Sands hotel and falls for a mysterious guest.
*Friends and Relations - the ladies are off to an auction while the men go ice fishing. Sara and Felicity must mind their mischievous cousin "Lucky".
Vows of Silence - Felicity "borrows" her mother's valuable family heirloom and loses it. She is afraid to confess the truth until she fears it will be too late.
After the Honeymoon - Jasper entertains a (female) scientist Sidney Carver, who is researching bats. Olivia tries to support Jasper, even though she finds the work horrifying.
*The Calamitous Courting of Hetty King - Aunt Hetty is wooed by a dynamic skate salesman, Wally Higgins.
*High Society - Felicity is offered a chance at a scholarship at the prestigious Kingsport Ladies College.
Old Friends, Old Wounds - The town loses a beloved citizen.
Amazon.com essential video
Picture this: a television screen filled with an image of a mature woman's hand holding the hand of an adolescent girl. Then those hands--and their owners, Barbra Streisand and 15-year-old look-alike and singing sensation Lauren Frost--ascend a flight of stairs that leads (suggestively, at least) to destiny itself. A third of the way up, Barbra releases her surrogate child-self... and watches as the latter climbs the rest of the way, disappearing into her future of possibilities.
Wow. Who else but Streisand could still pull off such an audacious moment of sentimental psychodrama, the way that only a true star could? Yet nestled within the autobiographical meringue of the legendary singer's Millennium's-End concert, performed at the MGM Grand Hotel in Las Vegas on December 31, 1999, that scene--and many other such self-referential moments reliving the sundry chapters of Streisand's life and career--is quite moving in its laid-bare honesty. A fuller experience than listening to the double CD of the concert, this video record of a magical night (does anyone remember our collective Y2K anxieties that New Year's Eve?) provides the most bang for the buck when it comes to reliving all those special scenes: surprise guest appearances (Barry Gibb, Bryan Adams, Neil Diamond, and Streisand's son, Jason Gould), duets with Judy Garland and Frank Sinatra (via video footage, of course), an appearance by dance master Savion Glover as Brother Time, a humorous bit with Shirley MacLaine, and several collaborations with Frost. If Timeless: Live from the MGM Grand was indeed, as Streisand claimed, the first step of a short farewell tour that ended in early 2000, it was the perfect way to exit the stage forever. --Tom Keogh

Barbra at her very best.......2007-03-10
Possibly one of the greatest concerts of all time. Even non Streisand lovers have to attest to that. Contains all of her classics some with new musical arrangements. Her rendition of Somewhere is 'heavenly'. A great addition to any collection. Do yourself a favour and buy it now!
THE BEST BARBRA CONCERT EVER !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!.......2006-09-14

i first saw this concert at madison square garden on september 27 th 2000 the first night of one of barbra streisand's farwell concerts in new york. it was great seeing barbra live but i wasn't sitting in the good seats which everyone calls the blood nosed seats. i first saw the las vegas concert on valentines day of 2001 but they cut out the scene when barbra was talking to shirley mclaine but i loved it anyway bacause barbra wasn't the size of an ant this time. then i coupple of years laiter i bought it on dvd and enjoyed it even more. barbra has been my idol since i was 5 years old.
Barbra's timeless concert .......2006-03-11
It is hard to confuse Barbra Streisand's voice with someone else's. Whatever song style she sings - you can always recognize her and this is a sign of a gifted singer. Barbra Streisand is very artistic and natural on the stage, acting as if she is living it. Very good concert.
Absolutely Barbra.......2004-05-01
Barbra Streisand is my favorite actress/singer. In this "Timeless" DVD, it's as if I've met her personally! In the concert itself, she have shown some of the things that she passed through her life. Starting with the recording studio, a 15-year old Barbra was played by Lauren Frost. She even sang songs from the Broadway, such as Miss Marmelstein, Don't Rain on My Parade, and Second Hand Rose. Also her Academy-award winner song, "Evergreen". In the ActII, she had a video of the highlights in her career..."The Main Event/Fight", "People" and "Send in the Clowns". Watch this concert...and you'll experience the ABSOLUTE BARBRA ever...!
