Customer Reviews:
easy to learn.......2007-07-12
This dvd is wonderful and easy to follow. It is very easy to learn because the steps are repeated and shown at different angles. I watched the electric slide portion and learned it very quickly. I have been to weddings where people are doing these dances, but never had anyone to show me how to do them--this is the perfect solution. I only wish he had actually played the electric slide song, instead of an alternate one. It's great!
This DVD was easy to follow and a lot of fun.......2007-06-01
Shawn Trautman is great in this instructional DVD. His instruction was easy to follow and a lot of fun. I recommend this DVD to anybody wanting to learn basic line dancing.
Another excellent dvd from Shawn Trautman.......2007-05-25
Shawn Trautman has done a great job of breaking the dances on this dvd down into easily remembered bite-sized chunks that don't overwhelm a person and that's quite a feat considering the sheer number of dances covered on this dvd. You definitely get your money's worth. The camera angles work well and Shawn's instruction is low key and patient without being boring.
Of course, the best part for me personally is that you can always watch the dvd again and again if that's what it takes for you to "get" a certain part of the dance and nobody's going to get worn out or impatient with you.
So if you've longed to get up and join in the fun when people start dancing, but haven't because you think you're too much of a klutz this is a perfect place to start. Most highly recommended.
Btw, my fiancee and I also own the Slow Dance dvd (for my upcoming nuptials) and we both absolutely loved it as well.
Makes line dancing really easy.......2007-05-20
My last experience with line dancing was a disaster, so I'm glad I followed through with this one. It was very easy to follow along with and I liked the fact that it wasn't overdone. I could see the instructor's feet as well as his body, and the steps were easy to follow with some good variations to throw in to make it more interesting. This is not an aerobics DVD, but if you want to learn how to do the dances to go out and get and have fun line dancing this is a really good one to learn from.
Party Line Dances.......2007-05-05
I am very pleased with Shawn's DVD. He breaks the steps down into manageable parts. I also like the steps shown from the different angles. This DVD is a must for all beginners.

Based on Eric Ormer's comic strip, The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green is an almost fluffy romantic comedy starring Ethan (Daniel Letterle), a gay man whose trials and tribulations amount to not much more than difficulties in dating and finding a rented apartment. Leo (David Monahan), Ethan's ex-boyfriend, is selling the house Ethan currently resides in, while Ethan enters a whirlwind romance with baseball fetishist, Kyle (Diego Serrano). While Ethan debates where to live, he dumps Kyle and starts dating Punch (Dean Shelton), a cute, young real estate agent who hatches a plan to sabotage Leo's intentions to sell the property. The finest moments of this situational comedy occur when the Hat Sisters (Joel Brooks and Richard Riehle), a pair of cross-dressing, older lovers, are on screen cracking jokes and looking like Erma Bombeck. Meanwhile, Ethan's mom (Meredith Baxter) advises him to seek courage in order to find the right man, as Ethan tires of the dating game. Director George Bamber's adaptation is entertaining, though the entertainment feels as if its at the expense of some characters who are the most stereotypically gay. Because of the film's employment of stereotypes, it's difficult to sympathize with Ethan's plight. Clearly not meant to challenge intellectually, Ethan Green does contain some endearing scenes that make it mostly fun to watch. --Trinie Dalton

three for the hot kisses.......2007-09-08
well, i expected better from this movie.
the plot had holes in it and at times i swore the cameraman accidentally switched the camera off. it was a tad unrealistic at a lot of places and some emotion and acting were forced.
the ending didn't have that big a resolution.
ON THE BRIGHT SIDE they were all hot guys and the kisses were GREAT, the quality of the movie was good, and unrealistic isn't always bad, right?
so here lies the dilemma. should you buy it?
after bitchin in this two minute read, i still don't regret buying it. i say rent it out and see if you're for the hot kisses or the bad plot.
three stars for The Mostly Unfabulous Social Life of Ethan Green.
Nice, Campy, Unoriginal.......2007-08-24
This movie is actually good for what it is. Ethan Greene is the sole reason i bought this movie, and he is the sole reason i actually finished it. He is a great actor, and us unbelievably hot. There are some good characters in the story, but for the most part is it merely a camp-fest. You have to really like cheesy gay-comedy to appreciate this movie. Luckily i worship Joan Crawford.
this movie............2007-08-13
i bought this movie as a recomendation of a friend, and was scheptical about the content of it, but as i saw through the movie, i realized that it was funny as hell, i definetly recommend this movie.
i give it a two thumbs up!!!
Um, Not Very Good.......2007-08-13
I think all of the other reviews were written by people associated with the film, because it is NOT GOOD. Honestly, I was very disappointed (and so was my friend who watched it with me). It's not that the story itself or the acting was entirely heinous, but is was sooooo slow moving. The movie is only 88 minutes, but it felt like an eternity. Please don't waste your life watching this.
The Fab Ethan Green.......2007-08-06
Worth watching for an interesting, comic perspective on gay relationships and their regular ups and downs. Not too tacky and very well cast. The plot flows with ease and is not the least boring. Full marks to the cast and crew, many of whom are not gay. Cheers. Looking forward to seeing more like these.

Billy Crystal plays Mickey, a basketball referee who has to accompany his estranged father's body to France, where the old man requested to be buried with the other members of his D-Day platoon. Unfortunately for Mickey, the airline loses his body. Fortunately for Mickey, this leads him to meet Ellen (Debra Winger), an airline executive who takes personal charge of the case and even joins him at the funeral. A whirlwind Paris romance leads to marriage, but that's when the complications begin... The story of Mickey and Ellen's marriage is recounted by their friends (played by Joe Mantegna, Cynthia Stevenson, Julie Kavner, Richard Masur, John Spencer, and Cathy Moriarty) as they wait for Mickey and Ellen to arrive at a dinner party. And of course these friends have their own stories, which are played out in witty shorthand as they bicker about who's going to tell the next part of the Mickey/Ellen saga. Forget Paris is uneven (unsurprisingly, Winger is stronger in the dramatic sections and Crystal in the comic parts, a schism that takes its toll on their chemistry), but its best parts hold up, even if the whole is shaky. Plus, the movie's theme (that romantic memories aren't what makes a marriage work, you have to live in the present) is explored with conviction and tenderness. --Bret Fetzer
Description
The romantic life of NBA referee Billy Crystal is on the rebound when he falls for airline employee Debra Winger. Crystal also directs this transatlantic comedy slam dunk with top-notch supporting cast of comedy pros, including Joe Mantegna, Cathy Moriarty and William Hickey.
Customer Reviews:
inspirational and encoraging for anyone struggling to keep a relationship.......2007-05-08
Over looked romantic film destined to become a classic with a grade A cast and intelligent imaginative script! Look for many director and plot misdirections to keep you interested, without being confused. GREAT date flick and a MUST WATCH for anyoneone struggling to keep the "till death do us part" FEASABLE.
An Unfortunate Lack of Chemistry Between an Ill-Used Winger and a Battery-Operated Crystal.......2006-09-12
I can see why Debra Winger went into a self-imposed exile after this tiresome 1995 studio product, as she looks ill-at-ease as a romantic comedy lead. Here is an accomplished actress who seizes roles with a palpable life force when she is in the right vehicle. However, Winger seems lost playing against the stand-up shenanigans of Billy Crystal, and consequently they never really connect in any believable way. Much of the blame has to be placed on Crystal, who not only starred but also directed and co-wrote the film with Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel. He seems intent on doing a retread of "When Harry Met Sally" but this time following a seemingly incompatible couple through marital discord.
Crystal plays Mickey Gordon, an NBA referee who tries to abide by his estranged father's wishes to be buried in France. The airline has unfortunately lost the casket, and their Paris-based customer relations executive Ellen Andrews tries to correct things for Mickey. Of course, they fall in love since it is Paris, and they get married almost immediately. Complications ensue with Mickey on the road and Ellen unable to conceive a baby. The central conceit of the film is its framing device, a dinner where a group of their friends congregate and share their remembrances of Mickey and Ellen's courtship and marital problems. How they are able to relay such intimate details is never really addressed since it's a plotting contrivance we are supposed to accept.
The other problem is that Crystal is not really acting here but performing his comedy routine as Mickey. Many of his lines sound overly familiar with many of the jokes having a forced feeling, and the role is virtually interchangeable with his Harry from the earlier film. Nevertheless, there are some truly funny bits, such as the running gag with Ellen's senile father (played by a befuddled William Hickey) repeating road signs in the car and the scene with the pigeon getting stuck to the side of Ellen's head. But it's not nearly enough. A solid supporting cast has been assembled as the friends - Joe Mantegna, Julie Kavner (particularly funny), Richard Masur, Cathy Moriarty, John Spencer, Cynthia Stevenson - though they act more like a chorus to the proceedings. The inevitable ending feels hollow since the relationship never felt that resonant. Despite some attempts at serious moments during the second half, this is the type of lightweight film that doesn't linger too long in one's memory. The 2000 DVD has no extras.
Romanticism has its own limits!.......2006-06-27
A romantic comedy, that deals with the end of the honeymoon and shows where the real marriage begins. Billy Cristal and Debra Winger add substance and spices to this classic comedy of mistakes around the figure of a Basket trainer who must leave as a modern gypsy.
To my mind one of the last original comedies in the nineties.
This is Kathy and Rich !!!.......2006-03-03
This is the best romantic comedy ever! My wife and I have watched this movie a hundred times and it never fails to make us laugh and fall in love all over again. We relate to how bad things are when we're apart and just how wonderful life is when we're together! I couldn't recommend a movie more highly. The best thing one could do is buy this movie now and share it with the one you love often.
Paging Meg Ryan..........2005-11-27
Mickey and Ellen (Billy Crystal and Debra Winger), both 40ish career people, fall in love during a dream-like week in Paris, then spend the next several years trying to make "happily ever after" work out in spite of career, family, and settled habits. There is much to enjoy here: a talented cast, a romantic soundtrack, and some nice observations on the difficulties of reconciling career and marraige. However, the chemistry between Crystal and Winger never quite works and the dialogue is laden with one-liners that are supposed to be zingers but generally fall flat. In the end, it just didn't come together for me. It is, however, much superior to "City Slickers II," also written by Crystal in partnership with Lowell Ganz and Babaloo Mandel.

This hapless comedy may actually work a lot better on video than it did in theaters. A parody of contemporary mob movies (with a few sidebars skewering such hits as Forrest Gump and The English Patient), Mafia! most closely resembles the first two Godfather films in its generational saga of a gangster family. Lloyd Bridges plays Don Cortino, a native Sicilian who presides over a crime syndicate, and Jay Mohr plays his Michael Corleone-like son. The film is by Jim Abrahams, formerly of the Zucker-Abrahams-Zucker directing team (Airplane!, The Naked Gun), single- handedly trotting out the old dumb-joke aesthetic that worked wonderfully a lifetime ago but looks a little creaky in the era of There's Something About Mary. Silly allusions to every crime film (GoodFellas, Casino) produced in the last three decades and featuring at least one wise guy or made man find their way into Mafia!'s gags, but most are arbitrary and shrugged off. The film tanked in theaters for good reason; on the other hand, Mafia! might have a lot more to offer if you're slumped on your own couch at the end of a long day, ready for brain-dead entertainment and absolutely apathetic about comic integrity. Even a film this instantly stale on the big screen might have its place in video posterity. -- Tom Keogh
Description
Taking aim at Hollywood's greatest gangster films, MAFIA! is the hilarious comedy spoof that packs all the laughs you'd expect from the hit-making director of AIRPLANE! and HOT SHOTS! In this sidesplitting saga of disorganized crime's most dysfunctional family, legendary star Lloyd Bridges rules the underworld as the ruthless, powerful ... and ceaselessly clumsy ... Godfather Vincenzo Cortino. When the time comes to choose the next Don Cortino, however, a riotous rivalry breaks out between his two sons: one a war hero (handsome Jay Mohr -- JERRY MAGUIRE) and the other a raving psychotic! Also starring sexy Christina Applegate (JUST VISITING) in an outrageously funny cast -- you'll happily die laughing with this dead-on mobster movie parody that offers entertainment you can't refuse!
Customer Reviews:
You'll never look at the Godfather the same way again!.......2007-06-11
Another absolute "must-have" if you love the spoofs of Abrams/Zucker fame. Lloyd Bridges as the Godfather is priceless. Get ready to laugh until your sides hurt and get this movie!!
Mafia!.......2007-01-15
This is one incredible and loveable movie. I've watched it 3 times so far and each time I laugh until my sides hurt.
If you are a fan of spoof movies ...........2006-07-23
If you enjoy movies like Airplane and Scary Movie (and let's not forget Attack of the Killer Tomatos), this one is for you.
GOD BLESS LLOYD BRIDGES.......2005-09-27
Everyone knows this movie is funny, but what some people might not know (unless you read the credits)is that this was Lloyd Bridges last movie. He died shortly after completeing his work on his last movie, Meeting Daddy, which was released in 2000. He died on March 10, 1998. This was an extremely funny man and that is more than evident in all the films he made throughout his life. This movie is just an example of how brilliant he was as an actor. He is still missed.
Warning: Watching this may cause you to laugh to death!.......2005-08-12
I would say this is the greatest parody-type comedy ever without Leslie Neilson. The story about Vincenzo Cortino, who flees Sicily in 1901 for safety by swimming across the Atlantic, and the life of himself and his family. The plot may be a little confusing, as the movie is changing between past and present, but it does become clear after a while. Plenty of nonsense, slapstick comedy, with plenty of parodies from the Godfather movies and Casino. A great movie that you can watch again and again, a must buy for those who love this type of movie.

Alan Alda wrote, directed, and starred in this lightweight comedy about a wedding and the havoc it causes in one family. Dad (Alda) wants it big and splashy; Betsy (Molly Ringwald), the one who's actually getting married, wants something small and personal (and is even considering eloping). As the momentum shifts back and forth between lavish and intimate, other comic tussles are played out in the background--such as how Dad is going to pay for all this. The best moments belong to the odd couple of Ally Sheedy and Anthony LaPaglia: She's a cop and the bride's sister and he's a Mafia underling who discovers he has a thing for a woman in uniform. Even if it doesn't add up to much, it's painlessly entertaining nonetheless. --Marshall Fine
Description
Like PARENTHOOD and MOONSTRUCK, BETSY'S WEDDING is a funny, feel-good movie about a wonderfully eccentric family and their hilarious trials and tribulations -- it's about everything but their daughter's wedding! Anything can and does happen when the funky bride-to-be casually announces her engagement, setting off a series of crazy events, including accidental meetings with the mob, oddball romances, and riotous revenge schemes! BETSY'S WEDDING is the perfect comedy hit, featuring an all-star cast and an irreverent story filled with all the warmth, wackiness, and humor you won't want to miss!

UNDERRATED COMEDY.......2006-06-04
Loved it, and have for a long time. For some reason most people either haven't watched it, or didn't get it. Obviously from the reviews here you can see I am not alone in my rating. Joe Pesci is HILARIOUS, and the movie is filled with other great characters and funny moments. Just keeps you interested with witty dialogue and universal life experiences. Like 29TH STREET this is another underrated movie, which should after watching it cacth your attention if you like romantic comedies, like WHEN HARRY MET SALLY etc. Enjoy...
What a find!.......2005-03-12
I did not expect much from this movie, perhaps because I had just finished watching 20 Dates, one of the worst movies I have ever seen. Betsy's Wedding was a delight, very sweet, and incredibly funny. I have seen movies about wedding disasters before, but this one had me laughing until it hurt. Alan Alda and Madeline Kahn were outstanding as Betsy's parents.
Light hearted and funny!.......2004-11-25
Alan Alda, Ally Sheedy, Molly Ringwold, Joe Pesci and the late Madeline Kahn star in this funny wedding movie. Everyone knows Alda as a funny man who has been turning in some more serious performances latley but who knew Joe Pesci could be funny? Naturally, there is trouble over putting Eddie Hopper's (Alda) daughter's (Ringwold) wedding together.
Hopper's family is comfortable but not rich but the other family is rolling in dough and wants to take over the wedding. Oscar Henner (Pesci) is in construction but has ties to organized crime. Oscar is having an affair with his secretary but his wife (Catherine O'Hara) knows all about it. Hopper's other daughter (Sheedy) falls for the nephew (Anthony LaPaglia as Stevie Dee) of Oscar's not so honest associate (Burt Young). She's a cop and he's connected to the mob. Eddie borrows money from Oscar to pay for the wedding but Oscar charges him interest. Oscar involves Eddie in a deal with his associate but to get out of the deal might get him killed. Oscar offers to find a tent for the wedding but cuts a deal with someone and gets the wrong kind of tent. By the way, Oscar rents an apartment to the newlyweds in one of his tenament slum buildings!
The wedding turns out to be a disaster of course. The tent leaks and then a hole is opened in the roof of the tent and the rain pours in. The food gets ruined and Eddie has to send out for pizza and everyone has to take their shoes off because the tent gets flooded.
By the way, look for Samuel Jackson (unknown then) in a very small bit part in the taxi depot scene.
It's lots of fun. No nudity, sex, violence. There is some foul language. I suggest a viewing of of at least 13.
One of 1990's most popular films.......2003-12-31
In Alan Alda's "Betsy's Wedding",he is Eddie Hopper,a construction foreman and architect. His daughter Betsy(Molly Ringwald) and her boyfriend Jake Lovell(Dylan Walsh) announce their engagement at a family gathering. Betsy's sister Connie(Ally Sheedy) is happy herself but jealously upset because she can't find herself a man. The late Madeline Kahn is Lola,Eddie's wife. At the gathering Lola's sister Gloria Henner(Catherine O'Hara) tells her she plans to get even with her husband Oscar(Oscar winner Joe Pesci) for all his inept schemes. Gloria says "Someday, when I have my nice little nestegg,I can take a walk and he can go f--- himself." Anthony LaPaglia is Stevie Dee,a guy who would later in the film become Connie's boyfriend. Stevie Dee's uncle Georgie(Burt Young) is a business associate of Oscar's. There's once scene where when Betsy and Jake meet with the man performing their wedding ceremony, the Dixie Cups' CHAPEL OF LOVE is played. They want to be pronounced "husband and wife" instead of "man and wife" and they have "obey" omitted from "love, honor and obey". The late Julie Bovasso plays Rose,Eddie's mother and Joey Bishop is Eddie's deceased father. The father,as a ghost,is seen and heard only by Eddie. The wedding was somewhat disasterous. It took place in a rented tent on a rainy evening. The tent was made of cheap,not-too-strong materials so a hole in the roof where the rain fell into increased to the point where it caved in. After a heated argument between Gloria and Oscar at the reception also in the tent,Gloria pulls a loose thread causing the growing hole and the dowse of fallen rain. So Connie and Stevie Dee can be together more often,Stevie Dee applies to the police academy, since Connie's a cop. Unbelievably, the wedding dinner was pizza! By the way,Oscar planned to divorce Gloria and become romantically involved with his secretary, who also attended Betsy's and Jake's wedding. That was one of the things that led to the argument. The wedding ceremony was performed in the Jewish style. Jake stepped on a wine glass wrapped in a cloth napkin. This film was Alan Alda's most successful and not a minor hit like "A New Life",another one of his personally scripted films.

Description
How far will you go for true love? After pledging their undying love for one another, happy newlyweds Danny (Graham Sibley) and Denise (Tracy Coogan) head to the Jersey Shore for their honeymoon. The romantic start to their new life is cut short when Danny is attacked on the beach and Denise discovers that her new husband has become a flesh eating zombie! As he tries to contain his cannibalistic behavior for the sake of their marriage, Denise decides to stand by her man "for better or worse". But will Danny's decay eventually cause Denise to forsake her true love? One part horror flick and one part romantic comedy, Zombie Honeymoon is guaranteed to first melt your heart, and then tear it out! Written and Directed by Dave Gebroe.

Keep Away From This!!!.......2007-07-29
This movie was horrible flat-out. And I watch alot of low budget horror and zombie movies. I own movies like premutos, evil, darkness: the vampire version and have seen many other zombie flicks that critics and others say are horrible. But this movie I can tell you was garbage and theres nothin good about it at all
A completely original low budget masterpiece.......2007-05-14
"All I am trying to do is kill as few people as possible before we get on the plane tomorrow!"
This movie is a riot! It is a clever low-budget blend of humor and horror. Unlike other attempts at mixing laughs and screams, this is truly a zombie romantic comedy. Imagine Brad and Janet (yes, from Rocky Horror) leaving the church as the wedding couple instead of just friends, and instead of ending up at a castle inhabited by alien sex-fiends on a dark stormy night - they go to their uncle's beach house and "Brad" gets turned into a zombie. Yeah, it's just like that, except it's not the 1970's anymore (thank god!). Just as cheesy, just as fun, but no sing-along musical numbers. The wife (Tracy Coogan) is the kind of woman every man wants to marry. Sexy, supportive, and loyal enough to (without provocation) punch the [...] out whose arm you are munching on (in public), just to make sure that she doesn't attract a crowd. The acting varies from mediocre to reasonably good, depending on the actor.
This movie has a realism that belies the fact that it is a zombie movie. In the sense that it is entitled "Zombie Honeymoon," that is precisely what it is, despite some previous reviews feeling cheated by the title. It is a really f'ed up honeymoon: Your new husband is now a zombie and you have to deal with the circumstances and consequences of his new eating habits, decaying flesh, and what that does to your plans to skip own forever.
Tracy Coogan really holds the entire movie together, and Graham Sibley as Danny ["Brad" in my earlier analogy]) is occasionally hilarious as he ever-so-casually gallivants around with his face covered in fresh blood, often munching on various body parts. The make-up is pretty good considering the low budget, and the soundtrack rocks. Both of the lead female characters overtly possess psychic powers, which seems to be an allegory for something that escapes me due to my limited mental acuity, but who cares anyway? Psychic chicks are hot. In the final analysis I came away with this realization: Loyal women are by far the best, and the biggest problem with having a zombie husband is that it really screws up your relationships with your friends. Stay for the ending. True love does exist in zombie movies after all.
So close to greatness, and yet so far........2007-02-28
Zombie Honeymoon (Dave Gebroe, 2005)
How great is a movie going to be when the box informs you that, in the movie's opening scene, a newlywed couple head for the Jersey shore to begin their honeymoon? You see that and, unless you're from New Jersey (I guess), you assume you're going to get stupid slapstick that can either be brilliant (viz. Return of the Living Dead) or worthless (viz. anything Troma made after Surf Nazis Must Die). And the movie starts off looking like it's going to head in that direction (with, of course, a bit of gratuitous nudity; after all, this is a honeymoon). It's dumb, but it's funny. Then, however, the movie takes a turn down a very dark side street just when you expect it to hit the real heights of hilarity. A zombie stumbles out of the waves while the happy couple are lazing on the beach, and vomits a sticky black goo all over Danny (Love Thy Neighbor's Graham Sidley), the groom. Needless to say, this turns him into one of the living dead, and we can prepare ourselves for all sorts of silly jokes about marriage and living death. But, um... no. Suddenly the film decides it wants to be a bleak, ugly allegory for addiction, as Denise (Six Tulips's Tracy Coogan), the bride, tries to adjust to, well, life with a husband who has to consume flesh to survive. And as a parable of addiction and its fallout, Gebroe (who also wrote the screenplay) has come up with a brilliantly nuanced script. If it had been played straight throughout, I'd probably be calling this one of the great underrated movies of our time, a fantastic new take on The Man with the Golden Arm. Except that, well, it's not, because it's never sure it wants to be that movie instead of the genre slapstick it starts out as.
This is even more depressing because for a microbudget indie horror flick, it's practically Oscar material. Sibley doesn't really have to do much after the first half hour but growl and go after cute travel agents, but come the last half-hour of the movie. Coogan shines more brightly than any actor I can remember seeing in a recent microbudget (save Dennis Hopper in House of 9, but hey, that's Dennis Hopper). Tonya Cornelisse and David Wallace, as friends of the couple, and Neal Jones, as a cop who's suspicious of the mysterious disappearances surrounding Danny, are more than competent (compare Jones to Joey Lawrence in Rest Stop and you'll see where I'm coming from here). And while no one's going to be confusing Dave Gebroe for David Lean any time soon, this is good, solid work for a second movie. If only the movie could have decided what it wanted to be and stuck with it. **
A New Cult Classic!!!.......2006-10-03
I loved this movie! It's a great relationship movie for the zombie set. The characters are never unconvincing and the plot works very well. There's not one moment in the film where I wasn't wondering how this was going to end. When the ending came, it was well thought out and acted to perfection. This is a cool movie. If you've ever been in any type of relationship, then you will want to see this movie. Boys and girls, the name of the game is commitment, and these two characters have that. Bravo Mr. Gebroe!
Great Zombie Movie!!.......2006-10-01
I got this movie to have a good laugh at a B zombie movie. When I started to watch it, it was more serious than I intended. I really liked this movie!! It does have it's funny parts but also has it's very serious side as well. I really recommend it.

Sometimes you are better on your own!!.......2001-09-21
Rented this before on a whim. I've rented it several times since (am now buying it to save money!). It is one of my favorite indy films. A fun story about three roommates who head to Vegas in search of Mr. Right Now, and what they learn about themselves along the way. I highly recommend it!
A very entertaining and funny film..........2000-02-11
This was actually a movie I caught on cable half way through, and then I rented it. It was worth the rental fee! This is a story of three single women all hoping and wishing to be married before they are old and gray. Ileana Douglas is my fave in the movie, and the other women are charming too. a good cast, some interesting insights into marriage, relationships, and sex. Also, good writing! a very well rounded film, which was never released widely. catch it on video if you like romantic comedies with an attractive cast.

Enjoyable...3 1/2 stars.......2006-09-11
Even though this movie is predictable and contains one of the worst lines ever written for a film, "cab service on this island leaves something to be desired" it's fun to watch and has some funny moments. Laurel Holloman fans will enjoy it.
Feel Good Summer Romance Movie.......2001-05-09
For anyone for enjoys taking a Summer extended weekend trip with some of the guys just to drink, get some sun and hope to hook up, this is a great movie. A group of guys go away to some Hamptons style island in the hopes of meeting the perfect woman, while making sure they have a beer in there hands at all times. The idea is to "derail" one of their friends weeding plans. A feel good movie that makes you want to plan a Labor Day weekend getaway to an island somewhere!
Must-See This Movie.......2001-02-03
A witty charming hilarious romantic farce. (it could have been the story of my life). You really ought to check it out. Great cast. While she is planning the wedding, his buddies are planning the divorce.... get it when it comes down in price.
Funniest movie ever!.......2000-09-16
The movie was hilarious. It was about a guy who's fianceed to this wonderful woman but his friends (like good buddies are) try to scare her off this marriage by challanging her to tennis matches, and trying to seduce her to make sure she's the perfect girl for him. Unlike other girls they've scared away, their games backfire and they realize too late that she's the perfect girl for their friend. So now, they're on a mission to set things right.
