5 out of 5 stars Excellent romance and fantasy, with lots of funniest jokes!.......2007-07-26

It is absolutely awesome in watching this anime. At first, I thought it was all about sexy bodies and cute girls. But it is not only with the 2 ideas. Instead, its romantic story is perfectly mixed with lots of funniest jokes. The character design is very pretty and cute. I was so excited about how the princess's body (she is turned into a little girl) and her live with Kazuto (another main character) and all kinds of things in the story ended up. I have finished watching season one and I will keep watching the other seasons.

Description

Since 1990 David Icke has been on an amazing journey of self and collective discovery to establish the real power behind apparently "random" world events like 9/11 and the "war on terrorism".

Here he reveals that a network of interbreeding bloodlines manipulating through their web of interconnecting secret societies have been pursuing an agenda for thousands of years to impose a globally centralized fascist state with total control and surveillance of the population.

The attacks of September 11th - not the work of "bin Laden" - and the subsequent "war on terrorism" are a means through which this is designed to be achieved.

Over more than six hours and with hundreds of illustrations, David Icke also reveals the illusion that is life in this "physical" reality. How is the "world" a provable illusion - just a lucid dream? How do we create it and how can we change the dream to one that we would like to experience?

All is revealed by David Icke, live before almost 2000 people at one of London's most famous venues, the Brixton Academy.

5 out of 5 stars Secret Societys that control America, masons and the Illuminati.......2007-09-10

Everything you want to know about the secret societys that control
america and have since the country was born. Almost every
president since George Washington has been blood line Illuminati and
Free masonic secret society members. All the presidential elections are rigged and only members of the occult groups can be elected for a high office. The secret societys are occult in nature & worship satanic idols. Put this info together with the info on www.thewatcherfiles.com and you will have much of the puzzle figured out.
6 hours live at the Brixton academy in London, England tons of
photos and graphics about how Capitol hill is laid out on the
pentagon and occult symbols everywhere. how to recognize occult
symbols that are in your face daily. the statue of Libery is a replica of the occult sumerian babylonian princess donated to america by Illuminati members in France. shows how the secret societys started way back with the sumerian civilization 6000 years ago and progressed thru europe to america and how the Illuminati pyramid structure controls the world.
David Inke rants away for 6 hours but the guy is very talented
personable and knows how to educate and entertain folks.
shocking stuff every american citizen should watch.
6 hours live at the brixton academy in London. Take the red pill, leave the occult matrix that engulfs America and get a taste of the truth. The truth will set your Free if you are brave enough to explore it and have the ability to open your mind and understand the truth. Life will never be the same again.

5 out of 5 stars Fascinating!.......2006-03-27

David is energetic and personable, it's hard not to like him. He has put together a powerful, well researched presentation and there's never a dull moment. It was riveting enough to sit through the whole six hours the first time I watched. I've watched it twice again and keep seeing things I missed before. There is a lot of information here and it will get the old brain cells fired up. (Things that make you go, 'hmmmm'.) The first two parts he talks about the state of the world today, then goes into history. As he talks there are continuous graphics behind him that show what he's talking about. As he goes along, he weaves together information in a very compelling way that is both powerful and amusing. He talks about Sept 11th, about the US Gov't, and yes, about reptiles. The last two hours were hard for me at first, I wasn't ready to go along with him after he'd gotten me so interested with facts and brilliant analysis. I forced myself to just sit and listen and I'm glad I did, it wasn't too weird for too long. I think of this DVD like a grand buffet table with hundreds of plates of delectable goodies, and some plates I'd rather not partake of. Just because a few items offered don't appeal to me doesn't mean I have to toss the whole thing out. There is definitely something worth experiencing here for people who are self thinkers as opposed to cookie cutter sameness addicts. I like his energy and intelligence, and hope to see more of him on DVD in the future.

3 out of 5 stars Not Too Many Secrets Revealed Here.......2006-01-05

It's difficult what to make of David Icke.

On the one hand, he's written a handful of very insightful and interesting books about the clandestine history of the world from a perspective rarely (if ever) seen by the masses on any continent. He forms cohesive arguments built on a plethora of substantiated (or, at least, very well researched) facts, arguments, and theories. But, on the other hand, he gravitates toward the unconventional premise ... the "way out there" idea that occasionally is predicated on the idea itself and has very little substance in cold hard data. When he's dealing in fact, Icke arguably has some of the best; but what do you do when he's sermonizing against using them?

SECRETS OF THE MATRIX is a production with equal flaws as it has strengths. This videotaped presentation from a 2003 speech in England really should've employed more than two cameras in order to capture a better picture. Much of it has been shot in the dark, largely due to Icke's reliance on basic audiovisual equipment for his show, and the unavailability of alternative angles becomes increasingly obvious as he walks almost non-stop around the stage, sometimes becoming difficult to stay in focus. Icke's main premise is to argue against the mainstream presentation of facts (i.e. George Bush is not what he seems, Tony Blair is not what he seems, the various national governments are not what they seem, etc.); however, his point of view is almost spot-on for how the mainstream media pundits lampoon each of these public figures and institutions on a regular basis ... so how is it off-base? As always, Icke rises from the ashes of any "weird" idea when he relies on facts ... precisely what he is arguing against ... so what can you make of his premise?

This is definitely a program intended for those familiar with his writing; the unitiated might be more than a bit lost here ... and more than a bit disappointed. Enthusiasts should find enough fuel for water-cooler chat to last a year.

UFO was Gerry Anderson's first live-action TV series after a decade of producing such children's animated classics as Stingray (1963) and Thunderbirds (1964). The premise of UFO, which ran for a single season of 26 episodes in 1970, was like a more serious version of Anderson's Captain Scarlet (1967): in the near future of 1980, a high-tech secret organization, SHADO, waged covert war against mysterious alien attackers. Ed Bishop played the American head of SHADO--he had been previously featured in Captain Scarlet and Anderson's Doppelganger (1969)--though in all other respects this was a thoroughly British production. As with all Anderson series, UFO evidenced remarkable technological inventiveness and groundbreaking production values, coupled with startling lapses in fundamental logic too numerous to list.

Much more adult in story and content than earlier Anderson productions, and surprisingly dark with its pragmatic view of human nature and downbeat endings, the show now seems like a forerunner of The X-Files and the equally short-lived Dark Skies (1996). Barry Gray's memorable theme and atmospheric music greatly enhanced the overall impact. Stylishly made, though terribly sexist by current standards and featuring eye-catching costumes more fitted for a campy dress party than the front line of a futuristic war, this cult classic eventually evolved into Space 1999 (1975).

The UFO DVDs have been beautifully designed and produced. The mono sound is exceptionally strong, and the restored and remastered picture is almost unbelievably good for a 1970 TV show. With barely a flaw anywhere, the episodes look so clear, colorful, and detailed that they could have been filmed last week. This four-disc box features the first 13 episodes: "Identified," "Computer Affair," "Flight Path," "Exposed," "Survival," "Conflict," "The Dalotek Affair," "A Question of Priorities," "Ordeal," "The Square Triangle," "Court Martial," "Close Up," and "Confetti Check A-OK." --Gary S Dalkin

Description

Head back to the future with SHADO! The year is 1980, and earth is under attack from a mysterious race of aliens. Their origins are unknown, their goals unclear. But they are capturing humans to harvest their organs. In a lead-lined bunker 80 feet beneath a London film studio, the members of SHADO (Supreme Headquarters Alien Defence Organization) strive to save the otherwise helpless planet. Led by the dedicated Commander Ed Straker, SHADO recruits the finest agents from every nation. From a secret moon base and a fleet of submarine interceptors, they deploy an incredible arsenal of high-tech weapons to stop the extra-terrestrial invaders.

The first live-action series from legendary producer Gerry Anderson (Thunderbirds, Space: 1999), UFO features the same innovative sci-fi sensibility and extraordinary special effects as his cult-classic "super-marionation" shows. This set includes the following episodes: Identified, Computer Affair, Flight Path, Exposed, Survival, Conflict, The Dalotek Affair, A Question of Priorities, Ordeal, The Square Triangle, Court Martial, Close Up, Confetti Check A-OK.

5 out of 5 stars Classic sci-fi.......2007-06-11

As before, the acting is not so good, and the stories are weak, but I love this show!! First saw it in 1970 right after seeing Apollo 11 land on the moon the year before! I never thought that I would see it again as so few channels run foreign sci-fi TV programs!! If you like Space 1999, then this will be enjoyed as well! I'm glad I got it!!

5 out of 5 stars THIS SHOW IS STILL COOL.......2005-09-24

This show is a taste of the 60's fantasy TV. I love it. My 10 year old daughter watches some of this shows with me. Great special efects, for 1969, if you consider they didn't use any CG scenes at all. It even looks good on my 51" wide screen TV; on "wide zoom" it gets a little distorted but that is how I watch it now. When I saw it as a kid I must have been really stupid because I don't remember all the hotties, just the doom, doom, doom, doom, toorurum...theme. The bad thing is, my wife doesn't believe me...I don't care, I am keeping these DVD's. I found some UFO diecast models on EBAY. This is cool stuff...

5 out of 5 stars One of the finest SF series ever made........2005-08-25

I looked for 30 years to see these again. Just simply awesome.

5 out of 5 stars A beautiful DVD set.... brings back alot of memories........2005-08-19

I was in the 2nd grade back in 1973 when this show came out, but like everyone else here this show had a HUGE impact on me. I remember it used to come on late at night, way past my bedtime, so it was a thrill to stay up and watch it. And my little UFO lunchbox was my pride and joy! LOL (I was the only kid that had it and I still have it to this day). During lunch in the cafeteria I remember my friends and I gawking at the big-boobed submarine girl in the fishnet top just as intently as the fighter jets and stuff. For a 7-year-old everything about it was awesome. Yes, it WAS a cool show, but even back then I knew it was weird -- and creepy, too -- yet it was unforgettable.

So today, in 2005, when I just happened to see the box sets in the bookstore I just HAD to get it -- and I'm glad I did, too. Like every other guy of my generation who's posted on here, watching UFO again after 35 years brought back tons of fond memories. Sure the acting is terrible and the plots make no more sense to me now than they did way back when, but I love it. The DVD's themselves are impeccably clean and bright -- I am VERY impressed with the whole ensemble. Great job.

5 out of 5 stars It doesn't get any better than this!.......2003-10-24

If you look up "cool" in the dictionary, you will find a cast photo from Gerry Anderson's 1969-1970 cult classic TV series "UFO." It's too bad this series lasted only one season. It's an unusual mix of American and British ideas, something that doesn't happen much in British or American TV.

At first I thought the series (especially the pilot episode) was like watching Austin Powers played straight, but it soon became evident that there was much more to the series than that. Sure, it has the Sixties look with clothes and decor and cool cars, but the overall storyline contains depth. And as it progresses, the stories become darker and more multi-layered.

Set 2, which contains the last 13 episodes, deals with more kidnappings and multilations by the aliens who are out to harvest the organs of earthlings, but all this just proves the point of how important SHADO was (is?) to the protection of planet Earth and to the human race.

So buy Set 1 and give yourself some time to get into the characters and it won't take long before you find yourself on a roller coaster ride enjoying some first class sci-fi adventures. I have a feeling that by the time you get to episode 13 in Set 1, you will have to have Set 2 of "UFO" in your collection so you can see the whole ball of wax.

Long live Commander Straker (Ed Bishop), sci-fi guru Gerry Anderson and all the other talented people who brought "UFO" to life in the distant future of... 1980. Yep, you heard right, 1980!
