The unlikeliest cult hit of 2004 was What the (Bleep) Do We Know?, a lecture on mysticism and science mixed into a sort-of narrative. Marlee Matlin stars in the dramatic thread, about a sourpuss photographer who begins to question her perceptions. Interviews with quantum physics experts and New Age authors are cut into this story, offering a vaguely convincing (and certainly mind-provoking) theory about... well, actually, it sounds a lot like the Power of Positive Thinking, when you get down to it. Talking heads (not identified until film's end) include JZ Knight, who appears in the movie channeling Ramtha, the ancient sage she claims communicates through her (other speakers are also associated with Knight's organization). What she says actually makes pretty good common sense--Ramtha's wiggier notions are not included--and would be easy to accept were it not being credited to a 35,000-year-old mystic from Atlantis. --Robert Horton
Description
WHAT THE BLEEP DO WE KNOW?! is a new type of film. It is part documentary, part story, and part elaborate and inspiring visual effects and animations. The protagonist, Amanda, played by Marlee Matlin, finds herself in a fantastic Alice in Wonderland experience when her daily, uninspired life literally begins to unravel, revealing the uncertain world of the quantum field hidden behind what we consider to be our normal, waking reality. She is literally plunged into a swirl of chaotic occurrences, while the characters she encounters on this odyssey reveal the deeper, hidden knowledge she doesn?t even realize she has asked for. Like every hero, Amanda is thrown into crisis, questioning the fundamental premises of her life ? that the reality she has believed in about how men are, how relationships with others should be, and how her emotions are affecting her work isn?t reality at all!

Great and lame.......2007-09-11
This documentary is enlightening at one level and disturbing at another. To be specific, I loved the light they shed on the difference between Newtonian physics and quantum mechanics. Furthermore, the idea that our bodies emit energy when we simply think and that we can influence our health among other things was fascinating. I take it as a challenge and a personal quest that started when I read the book The Biology of Belief. This quest is driven by the fact that my child has autism and that I want to foster a healthy subconscious in him to give him the power to choose his destiny someday. It also gives me perspective for some of the energy based treatments I am seeking such as CranioSacral therapy and why they improve behavior.
The part of the movie I hated was the spiritual propaganda in support of the Ramtha school. Nights/Ramtha contradicted her/himself. On the one hand by claiming that we are all divine, and on the other by stating that little carbon units could not sin against Almighty God. I don't think that is necessary or desirable that I stop believing in the creator of the universe to benefit from learning about energy and quantum mechanics. If anything, the possibility that our minds are so powerful just makes me feel more amazed at God's creation. It makes me feel that his creation is so perfect beyond our understanding.
The movie put down the idea of believing in a creator. It was especially offensive against the Christian God mocking the truth that your sins can be forgiven. And can anyone tell me if having the [...] girl flirt with the priest behind the scene where the obese man engages in eating is a subliminal message?
I would recommend this film to people that have a strong spiritual foundation; however if you are in an exploratory phase, please consider that the path of this movie is not the path of truth.
In the movie they talked about Emoto's water experiments focusing on how thought and intention can influence water crystals. This is a profound idea that gave me a new appreciation for Holy water and for the Eucharistic bread and wine.
I'll tell you what the bleep we know........2007-09-09
We know better than to fall for thinly veiled astrology, that's what the bleep we know. When I hear that a film is about quantum mechanics, then find out later that it stars Ramtha the magic faith healer (who by the way failed to heal her late husband's HIV infection), I get very disappointed. It gets one star only because no stars is not an option.
what the bleep down the rabbit hole.......2007-09-03
The blurb that I read before buying this indicated that it was about Quantum physics and mechanics, but it ended up being about personal interpretations of spirituality. I was very disappointed in this DVD.
Fantastic and interesting.......2007-09-03
This is a magic film about life. I have already seen it twice, and shown it to friends. You can't go on living "the old way" after this.
Spiritual Thirst Somewhat Satiated.......2007-09-01
When I first saw "What the Bleep Do We Know!?," the predecessor to this much longer three-disc version, in December of 2004, I hadn't been exposed to much Spiritual Cinema. Most of my spiritual journey had been through reading books and life experiences. They were also a great way to learn, but it took much longer!! "What the Bleep Do We Know!?" paved the way for me to enjoy other films in the Spiritual Cinema Genre like "Indigo" (2005),"The Secret" (Original Edition 2006), etc. However, I was still craving more of both scientific (specifically quantum mechanics) and spiritual (specifically formerly esoteric) information. So, I was elated when "What the Bleep!?-Down the Rabbit Hole" came out. It has nearly six hours of additional interviews and a cool "cutting-edge quantum viewing mode" where you can actually influence what you see next without touching the remote:) It really is all in your mind!!! These are a couple of the features that set it apart from the first movie. It's been something substantial, ironically in an immaterial way, to keep my spritual thirst somewhat satiated for quite a bit(e)now...lol...

Description
Dr. Miceal Ledwith's research interests had always been in the fundamental areas of theology, summed up by "the four great questions," as he liked to call them: "Who are we; where did we come from; what should we do, and where are we going?" None seemed to give any convincing information about what awaits us after death, what we should do while here that will help in some sense our spiritual development, and above all, there was no information whatever about what precedes life here on earth. He noticed that while many found God attractive, the religions who claimed to be God's instruments seemed to be largely dismissed as irrelevant by an ever-increasing number of thinking people. It was apparent that none of the religions seemed to have lived up to the promises of their founders.
He set out to discover what had gone wrong and how the damage could be repaired. It was at this stage that he found the vast and sophisticated body of teachings coming from Ramtha's School of Ancient Wisdom, which he discovered filled many of the gaps in knowledge and the even greater gaps in experience, in the existing world religions. He has actively studied at Ramtha's School for many years and has been invited to lecture at teaching sessions held by the Ramtha School in North and South America, Europe, Australia, South Africa and Japan.
His research has involved the painful separation of time-conditioned modes of thought and views of how reality is, from fundamental beliefs about God and human destiny. A series of DVDs which set out the findings of his research is now in production with JZ Knight as Director. The Great Questions in the Hamburger Universe, Vol. 1 in the series Deep Deceptions is the first fruits of this work. This DVD series will chart a new course for human hopes and aspirations in relation to the fundamental questions that perplex everyone, and will serve as an introduction to some of the ideas more extensively explored in his forthcoming book "Forbidden Truth."

Insightful and Eloquently presented!.......2007-03-28
Strangely, even though I loved "What the Bleep Do We Know" (DVD) and Mr. Ledwith's contribution therein, I was hesitant to purchase this DVD. However, after watching the DVD I am thoroughly elated I did! Admittedly, the presentation is in a lecture format, and not as colorful, clever or entertainingly presented as "What the Bleep", but the information, and perspective was right on target!
Amazingly, I come from a very staunch Fundamentalist Christian background (where I freely identified myself with the "Born-Again" perspective on Christ, the Bible and the afterlife). During the 20+ years of promoting that perspective I found my inner voice questioning a lot of what "The Church" was teaching that didn't seem to match what I understood Christ's message to truly be. Mr. Ledwith's perspective matches my own spiritual journey and insightful truths! After resolving the stark contrast between this DVD & "What the Bleep"'s format, I quickly found myself wanting to shout "Amen! Preach it, Brother!"
I believe MORE Christians (Fundamentalists, Evangelicals and Catholics, especially), really, REALLY need to sit down and listen to what this man is saying! It's true, but surely a "closed mind" will only find fault in it, because it would be admitting to one's self that maybe, just maybe, we've never truly questioned exactly WHAT IT IS THAT WE BELIEVE about God, Heaven, Hell, Death, Life, Purpose and the Universe. Most of us willingly subject ourselves to robotic programming by "the Church" and never question our belief out of fear... Fear that is TAUGHT to us in the guise of spiritual "obedient thinking & action", and all we can do to answer life's questions is seek someone ELSE's viewpoint (those we deem within our Church structure to be "more knowledgable", relying on their interpretation to guide us, or quoting scripture (like a good little robot), making sure we ignore the scriptures that we don't want to hear ourselves, or don't quite fit in with the pat little answers we want our listeners to hear (promoting and ignoring scriptures at will). Most Christians either don't KNOW what the Bible says, or they are just walking automatons spouting verbal rhetoric rather than speaking from our Heart (since that is so much easier than taking responsibility ourselves and finding the answers within... Looking within is too scarey for most, and the Church teaches us NOT to rely on our own understanding, because we are evil without the Church's dogma). Free your mind and THINK FOR YOURSELF! Expand your understanding of Scripture beyond the Hamburger Universe! I'm positive even Jesus, the Christ would approve! JOHN 10:34 (Hey, don't stone me! Jesus said it! Isn't everything he said truth, or are only some of the things he said true while other things should be suppressed?).
I HIGHLY recommend this DVD. If nothing else, it will at least provide a different perspective on things... and maybe, just maybe open your mind to consider what it is you do believe and why!
Fundamentalists, Evangelicals and Catholics, are probably the most likey mindsets to ridicule and berate my review and the DVD - no problem though... everyone should seek their OWN inner truth. Hopefully the truth they do find IS their own, and not one that places them into a neatly package box in which they are snug and secure in the illusion that they never have to truly think for themself again. ;-)
Enjoy!
Very Poor.......2007-03-26
I am sorry to say this is another poor version of what Dr Ledwith deems to be a series.......
It's not a stab at Dr Ledwith, but an insult to Amazons customers,,,, these CD's are rubbish and if i could get my money back i would.....
Take the reviews advice and dont even waste your money
Good.......2007-01-11
good, makes sense, i have to watch it again to make up my mind
Buen contenido, pésimo formato.......2007-01-03
El contenido filosófico y científico es muy bueno, pero la producción del DVD es pésima
Great stuff!.......2007-01-03
This material really makes you think about what our traditional views are on God, and Heaven and Hell. He gets us to see things in a different way, a way that is more educated than what we've been taught.
Dr. Micael Ledwith was a theology professor as well as a catholic priest and he is the most educated man in this field I've ever seen.
Thank you Micael for this wonderful DVD!

How Jesus became a Christ" is the second DVD in the "Deep Deceptions" series. The series set out to ascertain answers to what he calls, "The Four Great Questions" about human destiny: Who Are We?; Where Did We Come From?; What Should We Do?, and What May We Expect After Death? Jesus promised that those who followed his message would do all the wonders he did and more. If this is not happening in todays Christianity it shows that something has gone very seriously awry. Few even realize that more than 80% of the life of Jesus is missing from the New Testament. Míeál Ledwiths lifelong study of the available sources had identified many gaps in the religions understanding of God and our place in the world. In particular it became clear that the Christian religions do not, as they claim, carry the revelation of a previously unknown message; but are based on fragments and corruptions of a rare and very ancient wisdom. The early Christian Church spent several centuries of tortured controversy trying to explain how God could have become man in Jesus the Christ. It should have focused instead on how the divine element in every man and woman could be effectively drawn forth. According to the teachings of Ramtha, and upheld by a thorough investigation of all the historical sources, that is precisely what Jesus came to exemplify and facilitate for everyone. Inspired and guided by Ramthas teachings, this DVD presents what was accomplished during the transformative journey of the so-called hidden years of Jesus in Egypt, India and Tibet, which all came to fruition in the dramatic events of the three-year ministry in his homeland. The message of Jesus when placed in this context is radically transformed from what it is if you somehow believe that all he accomplished was made possible by an eighteen-year apprenticeship at a carpenters

Revealing.......2007-08-25
This DVD set is terrific. Dr. Ledwith has gone to tremendous lengths to reveal many things that traditional religion has kept secret for centuries. By all means, pay close attention to this one!
Simply the thruth.......2007-07-25
The most disaponting thing to me about Christianity is the fact that so much of "Jesus the Crist" life is never given to us and so we never really know who Jesus really was and therefore we are left really weak. This work gives us a glimpse of who Jesus really was and that is the ultimate gift one could ever recieve in their lives.
remarkable.......2007-05-12
A very revealing story about someone who for the past 2 thousand years have become such an icon and yet how little if any thing we know of him.
This is the best information I have come across.......2007-04-10
I am totally enjoying this DVD "How Jesus Became a Christ". It makes me think outside the box and realize that everything we have been told all of our lives by the traditional religious groups isn't necessarily the truth. I love hearing different opinions and this guy is Spot On !!
And What the Bleep Do you Know????.......2007-04-02
How do you know Ramtha is true? There is proof that Jesus of Nazareth was crucified by the Romans. But there is no proof of the physical existence of Lemuria. Ditto for Atlantis. Why did JZ Knight sue a woman in Germany for channelling her Ramtha so she could have exclusive rights to bring him forth? If Ramtha is such a great guide how come he couldn't prevent JZ Knight's four failed marriages??????
Is Christianity a deception? If so, how come Ramtha is not? Jesus died on the cross. Ramtha ascended into the ether after a long life. Why should we believe Ramtha whose sole messenger is a woman of interesting reputation? After 2000 years much mystery is still there on Jesus of Nazareth.
The truth is: By their fruits you shall know them. What fruits has JZ Knight borne? What good has come of Ramtha?

Dr. Joe Dispenza is one of 14 scientists, researchers, and teachers featured in the multi-award-winning film, What the BLEEP Do We Know!?
This DVD suggests that becoming a skilled observer may empower us to exercise a greater degree of mind over matter. Drawing on new findings in neuroscience and quantum physics, it explains how people have experienced spontaneous remissions of diseases by learning how to "rewire" their brain.
Quantum science tells us an observer directly affects the nature of reality. Electrons behave like waves of probability until an observer looks for their position; then, they demonstrate characteristics of particles, i.e., solid matter. If observationputting conscious attention on any one thingcan affect the material world, then by mastering that ability, can we have greater control over our future?
Neuroscience is showing us how thoughts shape reality. The brain's 100 billion neurons connect in diverse combinations called neural networks. When we welcome new thoughts and experiences, our neurons respond by wiring together, a learning process termed neural plasticity. Through concentration and repetition of thoughts, neural circuits become "hard wired."
Are we basing our thoughts on what we've already wired in our memory, restricting the level of mind with which we view reality? Is our familiar environment monopolizing our thoughts, producing only routine experiences?
As observers within the quantum field of potentials, perhaps we are only limited by our knowledge and observation skills. If by developing these abilities we can rewire our brain, we should produce tangible changes in our life.

Finally someone who can teach us the nature of Nature.......2007-03-22
This powerful lecture is the single best, most accessible and cogent representation one can view if truly interested in the new and emerging science of possibilities. Blah, Blah, Blah. You don't need to see this review. You need to see this DVD.
Thanks Dr. Dispenza!!!
I want my money back.......2006-08-20
Do not wate your money
buy "what the blib? down the rabbit hole"
it has all the info you will need
"Mastering the Art of Observation" is a complit waste of time
now... how do I get my money back?
Just a "What the Bleep" Outtake!.......2006-07-05
Whoa! Don't waste your money, folks! I'm a huge What the Bleep fan, and I enjoyed Dr. Dispenza the most out of all interviewees. But this is truly a very disappointing one hour "ADD-adventure" further explanation of the point he made in the Bleep film. Not at all worth the money. If ANYTHING, buy it used. I guarantee many folks will be giving theirs up, looking to get some of that price back.
Not For the Weak of mind..........2006-03-19
This video is an incredible beginning to a four DVD set which helps people understand the process of expanding your mind to things "out of the box". If you're not willing to expand your mind...don't waste your money, but if you are, then sit back listen, imagine and take a ride into the "new you"! It might be helpful to understand some basic elements of quantum physics (don't be scared...it isn't THAT tough) and see the movie "What the Bleep Do We Know?! as it does lend some insight to what Dr. Joe will be talking about.
Mastering Observation - is difficult to Observe.......2006-01-30
I have to say I found it difficult to pay attantion to. It would have been better in audio form. Dr. Joe Dispenza had very interesting perspectives but the camera man did not. It's a continuous/edited shot of Dr. Joe Dispenza sitting in a chair against a not too pleasing background, pretending not to be nervous, swallowing and gulping and burping under his breath as if he just ate lunch - FOR OVER AN HOUR. I didn't fall asleep only because watching him MADE ME ANXIOUS. Again - I loved what he said but I had to watch it again while lying in bed with my eyes closed! Please Dr. D, for your next lecture, GO WITH AUDIO or give us a LITTLE more eye candy - e.g. "What The Bleep".

This dvd is divided into 3 sections-The 1st is called "Ramtha's School, A look within"-It's an inside view of the training, including interviews with J.Z.Kbnight, some of the longtime students & several scholars & researchers who have visited & lectured there-The second part is 'Cracking The Code To The Extraordinary" & presents powerful arguments to prove our latent human potential-Ramtha asks "So how hard is it to let go of doubt, when you see that you can do the impossible?"-The 3rd section,"Ramtha's Appointed Teachers" includes clips from lectures by J.Z Knight, Greg Simmons, Dr.Joe Dispenza, Mike Wright, Dr.Miceal Ledwith,Debbie Christie & Kenny Thompson on topics of science, biology, quantum physics, religion & Ramtha's teachings-I haven't played the cd-rom because I only have web.tv instead of a real computer, but the little program brochure says it contains extra info on J.Z. Create Your Day is a no-frills lecture from JZ Knight's self-help foundation, Ramtha's School of Enlightenment. The disc consists of a 45-minute monologue, seen almost entirely from one angle in close-up, of Knight speaking in the voice of Ramtha, the 35,000-year-old "wisdom warrior" she claims to channel. It's hard to tell where Knight is, but the lecture appears to have been taped before an audience, given the sounds of occasional laughter and more frequent coughing. The message mixes some allusions to quantum physics with an attractive philosophy of self-reliance (i.e., "creating your day" rather than letting it happen to you), much of which sounds suspiciously like common sense. The disc is nominally directed by Mark Vicente, a Ramtha student who directed What the Bleep Do We Know?, the cult hit that explored similar turf. No extras are included, although the DVD package comes with pamphlets instructing the user on how to enroll in Knight's school, including a biography of Knight that describes her as a "very successful businesswoman," which seems like an understatement. --Robert Horton

Create Your Day (SM) is an original teaching and technique created by Ramtha that he has been teaching his students since 1992 at Ramtha's School of Enlightenment. This teaching has been copyright protected since that time. The original Create Your Day (SM) technique available through Ramtha's School is protected as a service mark also to safeguard its authenticity and originality. "I would make a strong suggestion that every day you get up and you sit in this discipline, roll your eyes back, and instead of rushing around, sleeping in late, do this and focus, create your day. All you have to do is to see that this day is filled with sublime adventure. And if you know it and you feel it and you have given it life, it will be. So be it." -- Ramtha

What the Bleep Do We know about "The Secret"?.......2007-04-18
I'd feel really ripped off if this Ramtha took 45 min to talk in a spooky voice about vague notions of thinking positive thoughts about the things I want in life.
In "The Secret" Mike Dooley speaks very specifically about ways to imagine "receiving" the life changes -- really feeling and owning our dreams & aspirations. You know, the scene about really driving the car you want while sitting in your living room. If you can duplicate that scene as it relates to your health, relationships, family, finances, spiritual development, quality of life, then you can create your life by managing each day's plan. If Ramtha takes 45 min of your time without doing more than to just motivate you, without giving you more concrete instructions than I just gave you, ... well, she's ripping you off. Can someone please give me a better hint about which one she does?
Seriously, taking 60 of my dollars, and 45 of my min. is too much to take for less.
Utter garbage........2007-03-16
I've watched What the Bleep and The Secret. Both great DVD's compared to this garbage. The other reviewers were right. Nothing new.
Boredom is a state of mind........2007-01-15
The distractions of people coughing, babies crying, only attest to the authenticity of the channeler. She is oblivious to the noise, and ideas stream out of her like sunlight. The ideas may be familiar, but have we internalized them? Even having heard this philosophy many times, when Ramtha started talking about how the worst thing is to see yourself as a victim I realized how that thought keeps reestablishing itself and crowding out growth. I tried creating my day and found myself accomplishing all my tasks effortlessly. This material may be familiar but so is the idea of God's love, yet we rarely bask in its glow.
Must hear information!!!.......2007-01-12
For the ones that are on their way to a more enlightened life.
Must hear information!!!

Ten very real people share the triumphs and struggles to make it in this business called show business.......2007-08-13
At first I thought this documentary might be a joke, or a tinsel town producers "How-To" guide, but instead, what I got was 10 very real people taken quite seriously.
They've all had some success but lots of struggles. It's more so geared toward the folks who just got of the bus, but it's also nice for people who've been out here awhile to know they are not alone in the struggle.
You can tell the filmmaker didn't have a lot of money, but both the picture and sound are ultra clean. Although there wasn't much B-Roll the filmmaker goes out of his way to use black and white, borders, film scratches, and titles over black to break up the interview footage and give it more zing and spice.
Any one of us could have been in this documentary. It's tasteful and well-done. Definitely worth a look.
Its simple really..........2007-08-11
Just get your also struggling friends together to talk about themselves, any projects they've been in, and/or any project they want to plug now and you film them while they drone on and on, then you edit it, put it on a DVD and presto! You've made it in Hollywood before you make it Hollywood.
You could call any Coffee Bean or Starbucks in L.A. and overhear the same conversations, get the same information, and save yourself $20...minus any long distance toll charges of course.
