An atmospheric and sexy crime caper, this stars Dennis Quaid as a New Orleans police detective. He's a smooth talker who butts heads with the new assistant district attorney, Ellen Barkin. She's rigid and plays by the rules; he is mildly corrupt. They soon find themselves romantically entwined, and a bit chagrined.

Director Jim McBride (Great Balls of Fire) was in top form with this 1987 sizzler. You may not remember the particulars of the plot, which concerns supposed gang killings and police corruption, because it is the romance that has staying power. Blame this on Quaid and Barkin, who send off enough sparks to light up Bourbon Street. They are not only sexy together, but endearing, which makes you want to like them as much as they like each other. --Rochelle O'Gorman

2 out of 5 stars a good bad movie.......2007-09-15

Four years ago, I acquired THREE separate DVDs of this movie as birthday presents. The respective givers 1.) realized that my birthday was coming up 2.) realized I was about to move to New Orleans and 3.) were at the $6 bin outside the electronics section of Wal-Mart while making realizations #1 and #2. Despite the multiple copies, I have only been able to watch this movie twice. The first time, my mother felt necessary to point out during the sex scene that "you know, honey, in real life, they're exactly your father and I's age." The resultant mental scarring from that kept me from re-watching this until yesterday.

I'm one of what Hitchcock disparagingly called the "plausibles," the movie-watchers who can't get caught up in the action and emotion of the story when there are holes in the plot. (To which I'd reply, fix the damn plot holes, Alfred.) But, I'll start off with what's going right in this movie.

1. The casting is pitch-perfect.

2. The general premise is pretty good.

3. The soundtrack (with the exception of a song Dennis Quaid wrote for it, the type of power-ballad which would be of great aid to bulimics) is fantastic.

4. It makes good use of the on-location filming in New Orleans.

Now, for what isn't going so good.

1. Someone should have told Dennis Quaid just to talk like Dennis Quaid. The Yat accent is a combination of Southern, French, and Brooklyn, and if you can't nail it, don't attempt it. You'll sound retarded.

2. The movie assumes that the New Orleans District Attorney's office is less incompetent and corrupt than the NOPD. This is not true. Pretty much anyone who gets elected here gets indicted sooner or later.

3. When you have the "comic relief" cops impound a boat for no reason in the first scene, it ain't much of a surprise when it's later revealed that said boat is full of cocaine and the cops are on the take.

4. You never see Ellen Barkin drive a car in this movie, yet she can show up anywhere in the city (including the other side of the Mississippi River) at any time of the day or night at a moment's notice. Then, she always either gets a taxi or gets a ride back home with Dennis Quaid. This is only possible if she a.) leaves her car behind for no good reason or b.) teleports. There isn't fast or reliable public transit in NOLA. Also, taxis don't just show up when you call them. Trust me. I know.

5. Dennis Quaid gets called out of a hot date to investigate "a triple murder in Storyville." This movie was made in 1987. Storyville was torn down to make way for the Iberville Housing Projects in 1937.

6. Inconsistency and/or inappropriateness in underwear. This is one of my pet peeves in movie sex scenes. Most American women wear bras under their shirts as a matter of course whether or not they have anything to put in said bras. They certainly wear them under white shirts. They certainly wear them when it is raining. Ellen Barkin can fill out a bra, her character in this movie is certainly not the type to go to work braless, she is wearing a white shirt, it is raining outside...and in the sex scene she is still wearing the shirt, but no bra. It is not feasible to remove a bra while keeping a long-sleeve, button-down shirt on. Again, trust me. I know.

Also, she gets driven home by Dennis Quaid at one point because she's ill after viewing a bloody crime scene. She's fully dressed and trying not to puke out the window of his car. Then, the movie cuts to her vomiting into his toilet wearing nothing but her bra, underwear, and unbuttoned shirt. So...she's about to hurl, but takes off half her clothes first? That just doesn't happen in the real world.

7. Come on. Everybody with half a brain knows Ned Beatty's character's not what he seems. Otherwise, plotwise, he's a completely superfluous character and it doesn't matter that he's about to marry Dennis Quaid's mother.

But, all in all, it's a charming and mildly entertaining movie.

4 out of 5 stars Exciting, fun movie.......2007-05-13

Loved this movie. The music, actors and story was great. It was fun and exciting to watch. Wish it didn't have to end. Truly enjoyed watching Dennis Quaid in action. LOVED this movie.

5 out of 5 stars Easy..........2007-02-20

Very good movie for its time. Shows some insight to life in New Orleans.
Very Interesting.

3 out of 5 stars easy movie.......2007-02-17

While not a classic or a great movie, you will enjoy this one. The casting is good and Quaid and Barkin make a believable couple and the plot works for them. And although there are many cop movies this one pops out due to the good atmosphere and the couple's chemistry.

Description

"A standing ovation. Extraordinary. Astonishing." - Gil Noble, ABC TV

"Greg Palast is America's best investigative reporter." - Randi Rhodes, Air America

August 29th 2006 marked the one year anniversary of the devastation in New Orleans caused by the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina. This Special Greg Palast Report brings you exclusive footage and the stories you won't hear on the other networks -- the hidden political agendas and the suppressed eyewitness reports.

In this half-hour film, Greg Palast and his team travel to New Orleans to investigate what has happened since Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast last year. He examines why residents had to leave, what really caused the flood and why they aren't returning.

On August 22, 2006, reporter Greg Palast and producer Matt Pascarella were charged with criminal violations of the anti-terror laws by the Department of Homeland Security while making Big Easy to Big Empty. And there is no doubt, this film is dangerous - to the regime of Washington.

Here is the real story of Hurricane Katrina you won't get on CNN. You'll follow investigative reporter Palast ("a cross between Sam Spade and Sherlock Holmes" - Jim Hightower) as he travels to New Orleans to investigate what has happened since Hurricane Katrina devastated the Gulf Coast. On his visit, Palast discovers the population of New Orleans is minuscule, the reconstruction sparse, suicide rates climbing, and that many citizens have not, nor do they even know how to return to the city that care forgot. Palast exposes how:

-The White House would not tell the state police that the levees of the city were about to burst and drown the disabled residents left behind.

-How poor residents of the city were marched out of their houses at gunpoint-and now kept out by barbed wire in a scheme to turn New Orleans into a whiter, more Republican tourist town, "Six Flags Over Louisiana."

Palast takes you inside the offices of the political cronies of the Bush Administraion who planned the evacuation-until he's thrown out by perps. You'll get a look inside FEMA's "Guantanamo on wheels" for Katrina survivors.

Extras include:

* Tomorrow's New Orleans: Whose City Will it Be? A no-holds-barred, half-hour conversation with Amy Goodman (Democracy Now!); Greg and Amy discuss who is accountable for the ongoing disastrous situation in New Orleans and Washington's continuing attack on the survivors of Katrina.

* An audio excerpt on Katrina and New Orleans from Palast's New York Times Bestseller, Armed Madhouse.

* Special extended interviews from Louisiana State University's Hurricane Center and the inspiring crew that is fighting to rebuild their city against the odds.

* Crescent City Music, The "New Orleans Comes Alive-One Year Later" slideshow and more.

* Contains a Collector's Edition booklet with the exclusive essay "Busted" by Greg Palast.

4 out of 5 stars Criminal Actions by the Bush Administration.......2007-08-27

Representative Conyers where are you?

This video shows yet again how the poor are being scr*wed again. First by being left to drown in a city as it flooded. Second by being forced out of their homes by a government in action. It's not clear from the video whether the 9th ward will ever be re-occupied. Last I heard the plans were being drawn based on how far under water each area is. But from the video, it's clear that close in public housing has been condemned merely because it's close in and therefore expensive real estate and not because it was water damaged in anyway.

Greed rules in New Orleans..

4 out of 5 stars What you didn't know, but should, about New Orleans and Hurricane Katrina.......2007-07-05

This story is filmed at the one year anniversary of Hurricane Katrina in August of 2006 and it explores 3 basic themes in its short run. It begins with a look at the evacuation of New Orleans and continues on to why the massive flooding occurred the way it did and eventually ends up investigating why previous residents don't return home.

Much of this material was not reported by mainstream media and was kept quiet by the government for reasons that will become very clear shortly. Starting off with evacuation, the Bush administration hired a private contractor, Innovative Emergency Management (IEM), to accomplish the planning of evacuating New Orleans of which they were paid a half a million dollars. Due to their substandard efforts, approximately 127,000 people were left behind and many died in the ensuing storm and floods. Greg Palast actually goes to the IEM headquarters in Baton Rouge and finds that no evidence of an evacuation plan really existed and gets no cooperation or answers from company executives. Upon further research, he does find that IEM makes large donations to the Republican Party though. From the words of a former city councilman of New Orleans in this segment, two words describe this entire mess rather distinctly - `Reckless Negligence'.

Taking a close look at the flooding of New Orleans and the poor levee situation reveals some interesting and disturbing information also. When Greg Palast visited the Louisiana State University (they have some of the best hurricane experts in the nation), he talked to a weather expert there that created a superior evacuation plan that FEMA and Washington refused to look at before it was too late. He also determined that, long before the hurricane hit, the levee height was too low and they would probably fail altogether in a major storm. Again, the government turned a blind eye. And finally, FEMA waited until long after the levees collapsed to notify the New Orleans emergency operations center.

The third portion of this story may end up being the most inflammatory of all due to its sinister implications. Upon returning to New Orleans, many residents arrived at their former apartment buildings to find the doors and windows sealed with metal plates and some were even warned off the premises by law enforcement officials. Mind you, these are dwellings that were never touched by storm water or flooding and many of them are still in pristine condition. The fact of the matter is this - these residences are on prime real estate property between the downtown New Orleans business district and the French Quarter. It seems that for years, the city and speculators wanted these people out of this area and Hurricane Katrina was the excuse they needed. For all intents and purposes, it appears that someone wants to transform the climate of New Orleans to a degree that will benefit some but will eventually end up hurting many more.

`Big Easy to Big Empty', although too short in my opinion, is a thought provoking and disquieting documentary for the most part. Even though there isn't any debate or counter-point shown from the government's side, you wonder if it is really needed knowing their lackluster efforts in helping people after this disaster occurred. Furthermore, it seems that Greg Palast may have been right on the money with all this information here and he was starting to make Washington nervous. So much so that after the first broadcast of this film, the Department of Homeland Security tried to file a criminal complaint against him in the form of `filming critical infrastructure' but the charge was later dropped. It really makes you wonder.

If anything good can be said to have come out of the 2005 Hurricane Katrina catastrophe, it's From the Big Apple to the Big Easy, an ideal union of musicians, songs, and a worthy cause that results in one of the best benefit concerts in years. The music at this Madison Square Garden extravaganza (another show took place that same September night at Radio City Music Hall) on behalf of the people of New Orleans and the battered Gulf Coast isn't just good, it's right. What we witness over the course of some three hours is more than the usual passel of big stars showing up to do the right thing and drum up some cash and support for the unfortunate and the dispossessed; some of these folks actually are the dispossessed, and the majority have an authentic connection to the Crescent City. The Neville Brothers, Allen Toussaint, the Meters, Irma Thomas, the Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Clarence "Frogman" Henry: these are performers who are steeped in the astonishingly rich tradition of the place that gave us Louis Armstrong, Fats Domino, and so many others who helped weave the dense fabric of American music. And while the show takes a little while to hit its stride, by the time it climaxes with "When the Saints Go Marching In" you'll be partying like a drunken reveler during Mardi Gras. Highlights are almost too numerous to list here, but they'd have to include Thomas' "Time is on My Side" (the early Rolling Stones hit) and the Dixie Cups' "Iko Iko," both included in a segment devoted to what actress Jessica Lange calls "the bad girls of the Big Easy"; guitarist Ry Cooder's "Hello Josephine," part of a blues set with Buckwheat Zydeco and Lenny Kravitz; John Fogerty, who breathes rocking new life into "Born on the Bayou" and "Proud Mary"; the Dirty Dozen's rollicking "St. James Infirmary," one of New Orleans' signature songs; and a gorgeous "Bridge Over Troubled Water," which finds Art Garfunkel (reunited with Paul Simon for the occasion) sharing the lead with the angel-voiced Aaron Neville. And that's to say nothing of Bill Clinton, who helped spearhead relief efforts with George H. W. Bush and whose appearance receives the most prolonged ovation of the night. The concert raised a reported $9 million, and 100% of net proceeds from the sale of this two-DVD set will continue to raise money and awareness for Katrina victims. That alone would justify buying From the Big Apple to the Big Easy, but the music makes it a no-brainer. --Sam Graham

3 out of 5 stars Radio City???.......2006-11-22

I was uptown at the Radio City "sister" concert. Dirty Dozen Brass Band, Dave Matthews, Bill Clinton, and others, made appearances at both shows. However, we were also blessed by Tom Waits, Trey Anastasio, Galactic, and others. Frankly, I am SHOCKED that there is not at least a CD from the Radio City concert. I mean, c'mon, its all for a good cause. Wouldn't a Radio City CD or DVD also raise some money to help??

4 out of 5 stars Buy This NOW!!!!!!!!!!!.......2006-11-13

If music is important to you, any type of music, then the city of New Orleans - its music, its history, and its culture - must also be important to you. New Orleans has served as home base for virtually every type of music ever created in the United States of America, and the cultural history/diversity of this city is both unprecedented and unmatched. 2005 was a year most New Orleanians would rather forget, but the devastation left behind by Katrina makes that impossible. A half million homes were destroyed by one storm, and the majority of them were inside the New Orleans city limit. The storm, and most especially its aftermath, is a part of history that should never, ever be forgotten. The way our government failed the city, from infrastructure, to local politics, to federal programs and support, has been a travesty of monumental proportions. All that remains is how our country's citizenry responds. For our own sake and the sake of our own culture as a unified, Democratic nation, we must support New Orleans and the entire gulf coast as it takes on the Herculean task of rebuilding itself.
"From the Big Apple to the Big Easy - The Concert for New Orleans" is one of the most painless and relevant ways that you can show some support. My wife (who was born, raised, and lived in New Orleans for nearly four decades) watched this DVD with me, and commented, "This is the kind of stuff that will go down in history." I believe she is right about that. Figuratively, if not literally, we all lived though this, and how we react defines who we are. In the aftermath of Katrina, did you play a part? Maybe you wanted to, but with so much governmental ineptitude, didn't know where to turn, or who to trust. Perhaps the easiest way to cut directly to the heart of the matter would be to purchase this DVD. It's entertaining, it's informative, and 100% of the proceeds benefit the victims of Hurricane Katrina.
This two-DVD concert set has many highlights, and here is just a short list of a few truly exceptional performances; Seeing Elvis Costello sing "Yes We Can Can" with Allen Toussaint and orchestral backing. Watching Cyril Neville rock the house with a definitive version of "Big Chief," a New Orleans classic. Hearing Irma Thomas rip through "Time Is On My Side" with enough vengeance, power and resolve to claim it back from the Rolling Stones. Watching Cyndi Lauper and Allen Toussaint duet on "I Know." Seeing Elton John tear through "Levon" as if he were performing in a Gospel church. Staring slack-jawed while Ry Cooder, Buckwheat Zydeco and Lenny Kravitz tear through "Hello Josephine." The list goes on and on. If you're a Jimmy Buffett fan, then you must own this. Even Simon and Garfunkel pull together for a few numbers.
Despite everything, you can bet your last dollar that the city of New Orleans is coming back strong. The people living along America's Gulf Coast have suffered in ways that most of us can barely imagine - Imagine a world where Clarence `Frogman' Henry's "Ain't Got No Home" actually sounds poignant. Their resilience will get them through, but your support is essential, so buy "From the Big Apple to the Big Easy." It makes a great holiday gift, too. This music is Americana, and this concert is the spirit of America. These are our times. A Tom Ryan

4 out of 5 stars Nice buy!.......2006-11-10

In my opinion, no DVD's can be absolutely perfect, but this is not far away from beeing a fiver! Fantastic performances for a good case, and I can't get away from talking warmly about Aaron Neville's performance. Absolutely great! And the nostalgism in the whole concert absolutely exists. You won't regret buying this one!

4 out of 5 stars Great Concert, Great Cause.......2006-08-30

I was at this event also, and this two-DVD set wonderfully captures the excitement of the night.

In particular, I'm delighted to hear the intricacies of the brass bands playing, which were somewhat lost in the din at the Garden that night.

Other highlights for me include, yes, the great John Fogerty, although his voice deserts him on "Born on the Bayou"; the Dixie Cups doing "Iko"; Clarence "Frogman" Henry; Irma Thomas singing the original "Time Is on My Side"; Elton John doing "Levon"; Simon & Garfunkel doing "Mrs. Robinson", "Homeward Bound", and especially "Bridge Over Troubled Water" with the incredible Aaron Neville assisting; the Meters doing "Pocky Way"; and again Aaron Neville signing the most exquisite version of "Amazing Grace" I've ever heard.

As another reviewer said, you can't go wrong buying this set, as all proceeds are supposed to go to Katrina victims.

I am, however, deducting one star because of the "Buffet surfeit" here. Really -- with Fogerty, Elton, and S&G in the house, six songs by this one-hit wonder is about five songs too much, and it was a problem at the concert as well, although there were more than enough parrotheads present that night to lap it up.

Amazon.com essential video

Frank Sinatra had sung on television and even hosted variety specials and series, but when he strutted through the empty hallways of NBC studios, took a stool next to a lonely microphone, and belted out the opening lines to "I've Got You Under My Skin," it was a TV revelation. Here was the mature, confident, at times even swaggering saloon singer and balladeer in a solo showcase: literally, the man and his music. The mix of classic tunes ("I Get a Kick Out of You," "The Lady Is a Tramp," "Witchcraft"), key songs from his 1950s reinvention ("Come Fly with Me," "You Make Me Feel So Young"), and 1960s standards ("My Kind of Town," "This Is All I Ask") is mirrored in an effective medley anchored by "It Was a Very Good Year," giving us a brief tour of his career from the bobby-soxer heartthrob crooning hopeful ditties ("Young at Heart") to the reflective maturity of the artist in 1965 (the melancholy "Last Night When We Were Young"). Vocally, Sinatra is in excellent form--clear and bold, with the dexterity of his 1950s recordings now colored by phrasing at once thoughtful and seemingly spontaneous--and the combination of top-notch arrangements and impeccably chosen material makes this special Sinatra's finest televised hour. --Sean Axmaker

5 out of 5 stars Sinatra's First Special Is A Classic........2007-06-17

"AMan And His Music" was the first of several television specials Frank Sinatra did between 1965 and 1982. Running 50 minutes, this special has Frank in top form. It delivers what the title promises - no gimmicks, no comedy routines, no special guests. Just Frank, his music and his audience.

The show starts off with a rousing rendition of "I've Got You Under My Skin", which sets the mood for the evening quite well. Frank then leads us on a musical journey through his long and happy career. Among, the highlights, "I Get A Kick Out Of You" exudes style and flair, "Nancy" is tender and graceful, and "My Kind Of Town" is a wild good time.

We cut to some lovely autumn scenery, as Frank performs a medley of hits from all different stages of his career built around "It Was A Very Good Year". Featuring haunting renditions of" Young At Heart", "The Girl Next Door" and "Last Night When We Were Young", this is Frank at his finest. He is connected and lost in the music, but at the same time focused and hitting all the right emotions.

After the nice but forgettable "This All I Ask", Frank gets back into his upbeatr mode and does a fantastic runthrough of his biggest hits - "Come Fly With Me", "The Lady Is A Tramp", "I've Got The World On A String", "Witchcraft" and "You Make Me Feel So Young", all performed brilliantly. The show closes with a grogeous rendition of "Put Your Dreams Away", which was Frank's signature tune until "My Way" came out four years later.

Overall, this is a fantastic special. My only complaint is that the sound and picture quality could have been greatly improved. Other than that, I highly recommend this dvd.

4 out of 5 stars Nice overview but... .......2007-03-31

I wish they'd release a DVD of the clips from his shows in the 1950s from the 1950-1952, 1957-1958 and 1958-1960 shows, some of which were used as part of a live concert in recent years. I think "Vintage Sinatra" has been shown on PBS but not released on DVD, and I don't remember how much narration was in that one.

These videos are good "Reprise Era" material.

5 out of 5 stars FRANK REFLECTS ON HIS MUSIC AND CAREER.......2007-01-12

What's interesting about this special is that unlike many singers, Frank didn't have a guest and he sang live as opposed to pre-recording a bunch of big production numbers. After all, it was about him and the music!

5 out of 5 stars A great performance, despite the limitations.......2006-04-28

Many have questioned why this "film" hasn't been remastered. The simple reason is it was shot on videotape, not film. This special, and the ones that followed, were taped at NBC Studios in Burbank(when Frank leaves his car at the beginning of the show, that's the Tonight Show studio on his right!), along with "The Dean Martin Show", "Rowan & Martin's Laugh In", "The Hollywood Squares", and many more. Everything shot at the Burbank complex, up until just a decade or so ago, was done on videotape, not film. Unfortunately even broadcast quality videotape deteriorates over time. My guess is that this special probably wasn't preserved on digital disc, until sometime in the 1980's. If you look at the DVD's of the Dean Martin Show, or "The Tonight Show with Johnny Carson", you'll see that some of those master tapes have deteriorated as well. It's a shame, but those were the cost cutting limitations that NBC offered at the time. Also note that this special was shot on three different nights(hence the canned laughter at Sinatra's jokes). The first installment was November 8th, 1965. Sinatra returned at two different days that week to finish off the performance (it took at least a day to tear down and rebuild each of those elaborate sets). It was broadcast on Thanksgiving night of '65. I have read that Frank was suffering from a severe cold the night he taped the "I've Got You Under My Skin" segment, and was very cranky to the directors, producers and everyone else in the studio that night. Despite it all, he turned out a top notch performance, and I for one, am glad we have it, considering what NBC did to the first decade of Johnny Carson's material!

5 out of 5 stars It is what it is ... a great special now on dvd!.......2005-12-13

This is the begining of the Sinatra's Reprise video collection. It is a great dvd! The songs on here are great: Come fly with Me, I've Got You Under My Skin and more. Also, the medley is a welcome part on the early dvd's.

The sound quality could be better. However, I assume the sound is consistent to the way in which it was originally aired. I'd prefer to get the original product vs. an overdone Hollywood reproduction.

This is Frank at his best! I own them all and this is one of the best. For a true fan this is a must. I also suggest Frank with Ella and Carlos Jobim.

The music quality is outstanding to say the least: Do not miss the chance to see and hear what I believe is the best peoples band music arranger and composer perhaps of all time:

This concert is really superb! It's just as good as the Gentleman of music dvd, which you should also buy!
Own them both, they're a real treat.
This dvd includes also a 20min. documentary which is very interesting, because after seeing this I found out that James Last composed most of his songs himself. I always thought he played covers from other composers, but he did compose them himself. He even composed FOOL for Elvis!!
He's now over 70 years old, and has been in the business since the 50s.
He still shows people he's the man. He hasn't lost his touch.
He's also very full of energy for his age, he still jumps and dances on the stage while the orchestra is playing his music.
But while dancing he's also still conducting, with just his hands (he was the first conductor who didn't use a stick).
His orchestra consist of people from over 15 nationalities, and they all play really beautiful. Very talented people!
Because the track list in the editorial review is incomplete, and contains mistakes, I include the right track list in my review:

The reason that this video doesn't have the singing and action like the other videos is because the focus is on learning how to read the text. It is geared for children who are learning how to read. I feel that it's a great reinforcement. However, nothing can replace the interaction between an adult and a child that takes place during the reading process.

Guys Gone "What"? Stupid and a big waste of time and money. The female crew gets them naked and so what? These guys are really stupid and the female enticements are so repetitive. They say the same thing to all their victims to encourage them to show it all. Yuk! I know they are probably drunk or high, but I can not believe they don't realize everyone is handed the same line and are probably being laughed at, ridiculed and mocked as soon as they are out of sight.

3 out of 5 stars Very good--as a brief introduction to Sinatra's TV work........2004-09-20

Yes, I agree with the reviewer who writes that the quality of the sound and picture on this DVD could be better. However, to be fair, TV was still relatively unsophisticated at the time. The TV lights beam down bright on Sinatra and his guests--but their faces are clearly visible and you can hear what they are singing and saying without any problems.

This DVD is a great introductory collection of Sinatra's work with many of his contemporaries: Ella Fitzgerald, Lena Horne, The Rat Pack, Bing Crosby, Louis Armstrong, and more. This might be a very good DVD for people who want to see if they like Sinatra's work or who want to give this as a gift to someone they want to introduce to Sinatra's talent.

One other note: the packaging includes no notes or inserts! You just get the DVD. Yet I recommend this DVD--but for newcomers to Sinatra or those of us who want to sample TV variety shows on a budget.

1 out of 5 stars Mostly recycled material; very poor sound.......2004-09-12

A big let down due to poor quality of sound and picture. Moreover large portions of these materials are already out there. The extra material hardly is worth the cost especially in light of the sound problems.
