Whew. Linda Fiorentino is like a home-grown apocalyptic nightmare as the sizzling, sexy dame who thinks "sharing" is a dirty word. Fiorentino, a master of the double-cross, hooks up with naive Peter Berg, a nice guy desperate for a little adventure. There are endless twists to this cleverly vicious story, but the real draw is Fiorentino, whose performance is brilliant. She is the Everywoman you never want to meet: cool as ice, passionate, tough, self-satisfied, smart, and amoral. Bill Pullman is a surprise as a Machiavellian doctor who is almost her match. When you think of film noir, you think of the wonderful dark movies made in the 1940's with thugs, and "dames", and vamps. I don't think there has ever been a better vamp than Linda Fiorentino in this movie. Lana Turner in The Postman Always Rings Twice and Kathleen Turner in Body Heat might come close, but first prize belongs to Linda for her performance as Bridget Gregory in The Last Seduction. Bridget is a woman with a warm exterior that has ice water running through her veins, who believes in manipulating others into doing her dirty work for her. Great supporting performances by Peter Berg and Bill Paxton, but the movie belongs to Linda Fiorentino. You'll love to hate her in this dark erotic thriller that will take your breath away.

Well done double, triple and quad-triple crossing film. A little slow, but all the actors were convincing in their parts, good twist at the end and you probably already know who gets away with it, but I enjoyed it. Linda should do more movies, she's a young Siguorney Weaver type, slim, smart and sexy. Enjoy!

Perhaps I love this movie so much simply beacuse I just now happened upon it. I hadn't heard of it, and now I see that it came out in 2002. Wow, where was I?
This is one twisted chick in one twisted film. The thing that obviously attracts us to the female character is her beauty, and brains. No one could be this evil and still have men chasing her without "something." And the "something" is that she's sexy as can be--a real knock-out.
The scene in the bar where she checks out Berg's equipment under the table can't be beat. A sort of outdoing of "Sally Met Harry" for 2002. Berg plays it cool, and the great "secret" of his life is finally revealed toward the end of the movie.
If you enjoy movies where you don't know how things are going to turn out, check out THE LAST SEDUCTION as it will fill all your needs.

The Last Seduction, a descriptive title, aptly predicting the plot line of this "thriller," weakens the prelude to a grafter-mission-impossible. Surly the producer might have conjured a jazzier title.
Linda Florentino is pretty with clothes on or off, one of those tall slim Hollywood gals with augmented lips. She talks tough and dirty, outdoing her men toys in the saddle, so if the viewer wants some steamy stuff, okay, ya got it. The problem: the plot is unbelievable. A good thriller, take Body Heat for example, gives you the steamy romance and a plot device that doesn't intrude. If the mechanics of the swindle are forced, well, we have only Florentino's next hot scene to look forward too.
Weirdly, Bill Pullman, the smarmy medical student turned pill pusher, Fiorentino's hubby, shines up the plot, keeping it "real" when he is on the screen, which is not often. A little humor goes a long way in a tragedy. Just ask William Shakespeare.

Worst Sequel Of All Time.......2007-08-23
I can't say this movie is the worst movie ever made or even the worst movie I have ever seen. But giving it even one star is one star too many. The film makers took a first class noir film that was up there with Body Heat and House Of Games and came up with a ludicrous sequel that does not have one original cast member. Linda Fiorintino gave a five star performance in The Last Seduction. Putting Joan Severance in the same role is like replacing Meryl Streep in Sophie's Choice with Cindy Crawford. It can be done, but is ANYBODY (well maybe one person, it did get one good review) going to believe it? The dialogue is ridiculous and unbelievable and if possible, the acting is even worse. The original movie had you on the edge of your seat. This one does also, but not for the same reason. In the original you couldn't wait to see what would happen next. In the sequel you can't wait for it to be over. Downright painful. Save your money.
Poor Follow Up .......2006-03-19
This movie needs help. There are no familiar faces only familiar characters. The acting is poor and the plot is thin. A new twist would have been a nice addition. As it is you know exactly what is going to happen. Average characters going through the motions. Save yourself a purchase and some time. Steer clear of this second class movie.
This movie shouldn't have been made..........2000-05-30
or at least given the same title as the classic by John Dahl. The first movie was great; at one point it was my favorite movie of all time! But Joan Severance tried to make a, I guess, serious movie and boy was that a bad idea. I knew that when seeing this movie that I wasn't getting the origional, but I at least expected to see Joan Severance in a sex fest. Not even that! I was real excited to see Joan Severance get it on again because I hadn't seen her in a while. So I guess I have to wait some more. This is off the topic, but Joan Severance's best role was in a soft core porn called Almost Pregnant. It was totally funny and totally hot. Too bad Amazon doesn't have it.

Last Seduction/Last Seduction II wins the title of 'Greatest Original/Worst Sequel' hands down. Severence manages to at least look like Bridgett/ Wendy, but thats about a far as it goes. The fact that no one from the original movie participates in the sequel begs the question; Could I decide to make a movie entitled 'Godfater part IV' without the consent of Francis Ford Coppola? It looks like that is what happened here. The only borderline clever part of the whole movie is when one character has a hotel televison on, the original movie is seen on the screen. Be warned, this movie B-L-O-W-S.
Liked it better than the first one.......1999-06-07
First off don't rent or buy this if you are expecting to see Joan severance in the buff. No Nudity in this one. Don't fret this is a pretty good story, and Joan makes a much more convincing b@#ch than Linda Fiorentino.

The Last Seduction, a descriptive title, aptly predicting the plot line of this "thriller," weakens the prelude to a grafter-mission-impossible. Surly the producer might have conjured a jazzier title.
Linda Florentino is pretty with clothes on or off, one of those tall slim Hollywood gals with augmented lips. She talks tough and dirty, outdoing her men toys in the saddle, so if the viewer wants some steamy stuff, okay, ya got it. The problem: the plot is unbelievable. A good thriller, take Body Heat for example, gives you the steamy romance and a plot device that doesn't intrude. If the mechanics of the swindle are forced, well, we have only Florentino's next hot scene to look forward too.
Weirdly, Bill Pullman, the smarmy medical student turned pill pusher, Fiorentino's hubby, shines up the plot, keeping it "real" when he is on the screen, which is not often. A little humor goes a long way in a tragedy. Just ask William Shakespeare.
